  • the presudent can bring more attention to the sport by attending more MNT games. They can also advocate the youth development in our country.

  • wizards suck

  • finally warming to football.

  • But who won doe? ;) ayeee Ghana

  • I just watched this 20 times on repeat. more like 30

  • @ HeavyRRRMetal i hope so as well

  • Chills

  • atleast 70% of those people said " THAT WAS ONE FUCKED UP TOUCHDOWN, BUT WHAT THE HELL IMA TAKE MY SHIRT OFF!!!!" haha :D

  • @lockybalboa275

It was actually the extra point.

  • Wow!

  • Damn, imagine if we actually WON the world cup with these guys cheering.

  • @Hitmonchan107 That day will come one day. Maybe in brazil 2014. but you'll never know.

-From a German living in the USA.

  • its not that americans reject soccer, we like the sport we are exposed too the most, as does every other country, and in most countries, the sport they are exposed to the most is soccer/futbol. so naturally, its their favorite. In America, american football is the most exposed sport, so naturally, its the favorite here. Im not saying its right or wrong, but thats how it has gone, and still goes...

  • My brothers, in 2014 the American Dream will come true when the U.S. Soccer team finally wins the most prestigious trophy in football: the FIFA World Cup.

  • how come the US media don't think they can make money from "soccer" when in Europe people are making billions from "soccer" in the media, also if it had been the USA beating Algeria in the water polo world cup it would have provoked that kind of reaction. You Americans are very patriotic

  • @TRFCPAUL Water polo!? Really? While I don't deny it's one of the most physically demanding sports ever invented (I like to call it "competitive drowning"), it's not exactly exciting.

I watched USA play in the olympics, and it was exciting, but nothing like that. The US media have HUGE contracts in NFL, NBA, and MLB.

What people are making these "Billions" in "soccer" in the media? In part, it's the American owners (Manchester United, Liverpool, and (in part) Arsenal).

  • @TRFCPAUL cuz the media in the united states are retarted! (coming from an american), its the same thing with hockey in the USA, soccer and hockey have passionate fans in America, but because both sports don't have a stupid stoppage every five minutes like in football, baseball, or basketball, less commercials can be aired, which causes less advertisers for games on TV, which then causes less TV networks to broadcast the games, which overall leads to less exposure.

  • @greyshouse625 That's no excuse. Ironically, FOX was the one who gained rights to broadcast the World Cup in '94. You know what they did? They placed small advertisements right next to the scoreboard without interrupting the match broadcast. Just because there are no commercials frequently showing up during soccer doesn't mean you can't make a profit right out of it. the '94 World Cup still golds the record if being THE highest viewed edition. If ESPN gets the gist, America would be making money

  • haha. i just LOVE how the guy waves the flag at 23 seconds. CLASSIC!!

  • Guarda questi americani che si fanno contaggiare dalla "febbre" del calcio, sembrate quasi degli europei...XD

  • And who said America hates soccer? This and other videos show the opposite, there is much passion for the sport over here. Screw what the stupid ass media and their propaganda tell you.

  • Only football can have this effect.

  • the very next game..nobody liked usa soccer

  • @TheRaBiiDs It's currently ahead of Baseball and Hockey for TV views and it's ahead of basketball for attendance. It's gotten enormous over the past few years!

  • People from other countries say the united states isn't big on soccer, or Futbol.... well fuck you and watch this video

  • kansas city has the best soccer US soccer supporters.

  • Lol the guy at 0:16 with the orange cape haha

  • idiot..no biggie.. u LOST anyway!!! SPAIN THE BEST!!!!

  • @MrAdonis258 douche

  • @MrAdonis258 Says the guy from Malaysia...

  • It was Algeria. thanks for uploading tho

  • @imundiath no it was the round of 16 against Ghana when Landon scored the pk. dont act like you know what youre talking about.

  • Pfttt....your armericans, act like it, haha

  • USA would have beaten Uraguay.

  • This as well as many other videos on youtube showing America's true passion should be proof enough to the rest of the doubters in the world that the USA is and will always be passionate about soccer/futbol. It's the sports media in this country that hates soccer. Why? Because they can't pause for commercials every 5 mins. They fail to realize how much money can be made from this sport. Maybe one day when we have a president who played soccer things will change.

  • @Kushsmoka420 I still don't get where the term soccer comes from lol.

And why do you call something that looks an awfull alot like rugby with shoulder pads football ;D.

  • @kurziieee The term "soccer" came from the English so you can thank them for that. I don't know why they named it "football" in America. I guess they weren't creative enough to come up with a different name lol

  • @Kushsmoka420 Lets hope that president comes soon. =)

  • @Kushsmoka420 LMAO.

You guys are stupid, what does the president have anything to do with what shows on TV?

Its not like the President owns the TV networks, the President doesnt pick what goes on TV he has more Important shit to do than that wow i cant believe tat comment got thumbs up Hahah people are stupid.

  • @dirtybunny987 He's not saying the president himself controls the media. He's saying that if we had a soccer fan for president then maybe people would like the sport more.

But he's right about the media. The corps can't insert their commercials on a game that has two 45 minute periods.

  • @Hitmonchan107 So you're saying that if the presdent would like Soccer then the whole US would too? Thats stupid.

I mean its not like the US citizens like to eat what the president eats, we dont watch what he watches, we dont have the same favoite colors and FYI we DID have a president that was a Soccer fan and nothing happened. His name is Bill Clinton

  • @dirtybunny987 Yet ironically, moronic people follow Michelle Obama's horrible fashion tastes.

  • @Kushsmoka420 The president literally has nothing to do with this. At all.

  • i am colombian but i live in the usa... colombians and pretty much the whole world love soccer...my question is...how come USA being the best at almost every sport, is not passionate for soccer which is the most important sport in the world??...its time for USA to rise up and conquer this sport that is enjoyed by millions world wide....go USA.....lets show the world that USA lives soccer...i preffer to call it football...but anyway...USA USA USA USA!!!!!!!!!!!! THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD!!!!

  • @dsshdrumming2christ Because soccer is boring and is meant for poor countries which is why a lot of the world plays it, because they cant afford a good exciting sport.

  • @metathus dude u are such an ignorant....do u know how ho much is spent on soccer players around the world, specially in europe..... ENGLAND IS NOT A POOR COUNTRY,NOR GERMANY,NOR FRACE...that's such a stupid comment...if u don't like true foot ball (cause that's the real name) then watch another sport...it's ur life and no one gives a crap about it...but stop making stupid comments and read a little...study...DO SOMETHING WITH UR LIFE!!!!!!

  • @dsshdrumming2christ soccer is the most broring sport in the world. What kind of sport can end in a 0-0 tie?

  • @metathus That's what makes it so tense! In Soccer, All your hopes can come and go in a split second. Or you can win and react similar to the people in the video above. Ties in general sting but it just adds fuel to the rivalry and when you face them next time, the emotions you get are unbelievable. We just tied Mexico 1-1 which means, next time will be one of the most insane games in US history. You just don't understand, And I feel sorry for you. Just give it a go, You won't be disappointed!

  • @Headcheezonium I understand plenty. I understand how much of a pussy soccer players are to get brushed against and cry like a bitch. I know how embarrassing it is to miss a goal the size of a small plane by 15 feet. Trust me, soccer is fucking boring.

  • @metathus You just described Eurotrash soccer. American soccer is way better than those dive-when-a-speck-of-dust-hits-them players in Europe.

  • @Headcheezonium dude im american and i totally disagree american soccer is not good all for clubs the usa team is ok i still love them tho but if you watch the uefa cup u would agree euro football is way better

  • Fucking damn that must have been intense.

  • @Hauler24 You're fucking right it was.. I was there :) SO LOUD. That place has a clear roof you can't see that makes it twice as loud

  • 0:15 GREAT SAYAMAN??? (dragon ball z)

  • half of these idiots do not know what an offside is or what a yellow card mean.

  • @SFV818Si Typical. Troll and delete your account. Your parents must be so proud of you!

  • This is very inspiring to me. It is a classic example of how soccer is rising in America. And now that we have Klinsmann managing us into 2014, the excitement has become unbearable.

  • @ussoccer99 goood luck to america in soccer .. make it big!

  • @ussoccer99 I'm glad to see someone knowledgeable about the game not doubting Klinsmann after a few losses in international friendlies.

  • @ussoccer99 One of these days these guys will get a World Cup trophy like the USWNT.

  • @ussoccer99 Klinnsman is killing us man! We lost to France because he placed some guy on Donovan's place. Our bout against France was humiliating.

  • @Hitmonchan107 It's a friendly! Klinnsman is just trying new formations and lineups to see how they work before WCQ starts next year. Look at today's game, It was beautiful and I think he has finally found a system that works!

  • @Headcheezonium We lost to an amateur French team despite us having the experienced advantage. Yesterday we won despite an environmental handicap that the Slovs are used to.

  • @Hitmonchan107

    Humiliating???

France is a GOOD team. We could've held the draw if it weren't for an unlucky, awkward bounce on the ball that made Goodson powerless in that situation. Things are looking brighter though. We beat Slovenia 3-2 on their turf.

  • @ussoccer99 That guy could have made a hat trick for Slovenia.

  • @Hitmonchan107

    Could've, should've, would've...

  • We needed alot of people like this at the gold cup final!!! USA is better than mexico! They were using drugs to preform better!!!

  • One word: EPIC!

  • Stop complaining about how unpopular soccer is in the US, you could barely grab 1000 people to watch an international mens volleyball match.

    amazing!

  • This. Is. Epic.

  • It's about time the World had something in common with USA. Football is the most powerful sport in the World.

Palestine has a football team! This is a War zone but the people still have time for football!

  • hey, can someone tell me how popular football/soccer is getting in america? I always thought it was weard that the most powerful country in the world doesnt have a lot interest in the best sport of the world.

    please someone inform me

  • @utrechtnoordwest all of our athletes play every other sport... we haven't started breeding soccer players....YET

  • @xpa1ntball1nx

yeah but i also mean like the populairty, like do people talk about it a lot or are people interested etc...

  • @utrechtnoordwest In the US, more kids are playing football/soccer than any other sport. The youth leagues over here are absolutely immense in number. But it remains more of a recreational sport, because while it is very popular among the populace there aren't many opportunities to do anything with it. Universities give out few scholarships to soccer players because the collegiate level of play isn't very large or well funded, for that matter. But MLS is growing rapidly and it's catching on.

  • @utrechtnoordwest i play soccer every day, but i also play football (american).the sense of commitment to other sports is a lot higher in US.soccer is more of a recreational thing for a lot of people, but i agree with you it is the best sport in the world; however other sports are more encouraged for the youths to play.to answer your question popularity is growing.type in the portland timbers or watch the womens world cup. we have a LOT of fans.

  • @utrechtnoordwest It's by far the most PLAYED sport here. The problem is that it still has to catch on as a spectator sport. Don't get me wrong, There are MILLIONS of football fans here. But it is still the 5th most popular sport.

  • The faggot in the red in the middle front goes for a hug immediatley as the goal is scored. What a homo!

  • was algeria btw but still a great goal

  • @aznboi1398 we suck at baseball in the olympics because NONE of our top players play. it's all college players. If our top players played baseball in the olympics, none of the other countries should bother putting a team together. every game could be a no hitter....wouldnt even be fun to watch.....it would be absolute domination the likes of which has never been seen in any sport.

we don't suck at baseball, we just put our scrubs in the olympics.

  • So awesome.

  • It's good to see you guys cheer but do it when you win something please it looks sad.

  • and they say the US doesn't care about soccer?? I beg to differ...

  • 0:01 to 0:03 just gives chills

  • Just got goosebumps watching this...

  • To bad America will never get far in the world cup. Btw Im American

  • @aznboi1398 too bad you don't know how to spell. Oh and no one cares...

  • @aznboi1398 You wrote "To bad America will never get far in the world cup."

Soccer isnt even a top 5 sport in the US. Our male athletes play football, basketball, baseball etc. Could you imagine if our top athletes grew up playing soccer as they do in all other countries? As soccer becomes more popular and the contracts become more comparable to the other major sports you will see an influx of talent begin to turn toward soccer in the United States.

  • @RomeAndMarty4Ever Hey I live in America and we don't have a top five sports, we have top 3 which is football, baseball, and then basketball.

Baseball we suck at, I mean we got bronze and silver was awarded to cuba and gold was awarded to South Korea. Nations 1/50th the size of our country is beating us. Basketball we will always dominate haha

Football i don't consider it an international sport since no other country plays it so no one in the world really cares about football but americans.

  • @aznboi1398 Well we do have a few football clubs around Europe, but they really are only a few spread over the entire continent.

  • Lame in my country we usually light stuff up when we score

  • Amazing. I love my country.

  • holy shit see how fast that guy at the front takes off his hat 0:02

  • LMAO

  • Good to see the US is starting to realize the greatness of football.

    ;)

  • in the US its called soccer. sorry we prefer to live in a country that doesn't suck

  • @aexlvnv1688

There are millions of soccer fans here bro, and just cuz ur from europe doesnt meen that ur automaticaly superior to america in terms of soccer, i meen america is better than poland, ukraine, romania, finland, denmark, scotland, whales, and some other countries that i cant think of right now. We have a pretty large fan base right now, oh and guess what its growing, so i recomend that u close your mouth and stop trashing ppl over the internet

  • Noise levels here would do most English grounds proud.

  • Didn't we lose to Ghana?

  • the goal heard round the world

  • USA for the 2014 World Cup

  • @goblew14 It's in Brazil.

  • I have never seen reactions like this in England with any of our big games. Wild!

  • soo who said that the US doesn't care about soccer. As far as I see we have an as big fan base as the European Countries.

  • Comment removed

  • its good to see the americans celebrating football so much brilliant

finally realised that football is better than american football? :P

  • @DiamondSmithy

Well said my british friend! I am a american and I HATE american football. In fact, I always call soccer 'football' whenever I have the chance.

  • i wanna have sex with that dam goal

  • AWESOME!!!! :D

  • every single guy there got laid that night

  • so many people watching.. nice.. greeting from sweden

  • and americans say americans dont like soccer

  • @StraightOuttaDC It didn't matter. Goals come so rarely in higher level soccer that as soon as one goes in, the crowd erupts because of the crazy tension that builds up beforehand.

  • Did they know the game wasn't over?

  • @StraightOuttaDC Doesn't every teams fans celebrate like this after their team make a goal?

  • We're the best fans in the fucking world! GO USA!

  • @kemoblue4u best fans in the world at ice hockey and baseball and american gay rugby.. but never ever ever ever the best and most passionate fans in the world at football..... not even in the top ten

  • @notoriousb3nni ROFLMAO! Typical English hater. We're the best fans of our COUNTRY...i didn't say shit about "kickball", we'll root our country on even if the competition was rock throwing.

By the way, rioting and ripping stadiums apart =/= passion

  • @kemoblue4u yeh smashin shit up and acting like kids on steds does = passion lol. na im fukin wit ya football hooligans died out in the 90s. and well said i would scream for my country if the competition was throwing dead dogs but u missed what i said i said you are the best fans at you're own sports. but we are the best fans at our sports lol.. and when i say passion u need to come to a game in the english premier league or just watch 1 on sky sports and be in total awa of the atmosphere

  • @notoriousb3nni

you ever watched a european top class match match besides world cup every 4 years?? Even in the second german or english league there is more passion than in a normal baseball or American egghandball match. I know this because i visited some NBA,MLB and NFL matches when i visited your nice country. But the problem is that in your stadiums mostly families or some guys go to a game too eat a hot dog drink some beer or coke, watch some cheerleader and some sports.

  • @doktorandrula i am english u fool i am from manchester u totally misread what i said

  • @notoriousb3nni

sy my message was for kemoblue^^

  • @doktorandrula oh lol.. haha i thought that it was a reply to me because i received it.

  • why the U.S. has lost whyyyyy?

  • Looking at a person in the person 5 seconds later i see 10 people XD

  • i am from argentina and i didn't imagine that people from u.s.a could have that kind of reaction because a futbol game.. this in argentina happens all the weekends with our clubs.. but it's stranger to watch this anyway.. the futbol and the world cup is the best.. sorry for my english

  • good to see americans enjoying the game and everything, but i do this on a weekly basis, no doubt it will be the same in america soon though

  • @thirdlegUK i already do do this every week. lol im american but a dedicated gunners fan.

  • it gave me the chills when i saw this video

    SO EMOTIONAL

  • And people say we don't love the beautiful game. Naysayers.

  • @toxic2k7 That would be the Gadsden flag. AKA The "Don't Tread on Me" flag.

  • I would have loved England to have just one of those last minute winner type of moments in the World Cup last year. Instead we played the typical English way and completely messed things up, whereas the USA team actually played as if it meant something to them. Fair play!

  • @cwscpfc thanks brit :)

  • those big screens are awesome....the south got something right

  • how epic! holy shit!

  • they need more like huge screens like this around the country

  • good stuff. was in durban watching the game and of course everyone there was supporting ghana. but it was a great occasion and really cool to see so many people following the team back in the states

  • why football and exciting, it brings people together

  • 0 Dislikes, everyone is american! =D

  • 'U S A, U S A' - silence - 'YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH'

  • soccer feeling!!!! what can we say. best sport in the entire world!

  • if 12,000 people can make that kinda noise watchin a world cup on a big screen TV in 100 degree weather, i cant wait to see what we all sound like in the stadium wen we get a world cup in america.

  • @sickdrummin44 Should have been in 2022 buddy, just like it should have been us in 2018. I mean seriously, Russia and Qatar - you're havin a laugh!

  • @wizza1221

I can honestly say that Qatar 2022 will be the last World Cup finals.

There will be no way back for FIFA after that.

An atrocious decision by an atrocious sports governing body.

It's time for all nations to leave FIFA and form a new organisation for the sport - with no bribes, no vote rigging and transparency for the whole voting process and any rule changes.

  • @TheChris370 and my brother. who is this? lol

  • I hate usa politics but i love the men who loves football :)

  • im the one on the stage in all white holding the flag

  • Im from france but when I see that it gives me goose bumps, GO USA!

  • @jultheboss77 im the one on the stage in all white holding the flag. wen i watch this video i almost get brought to tears. lol

  • I'm English but like the USA football team and that goal reacstion, well, it made me love you guys a whole lot more. Respect, from Nuneaton, England

  • @wizza1221 nd we like you to bruh.

  • THAT GOAL = 1,000,000 TOUCH DOWNS !!!!!

  • @30302044 pretty much

  • when it come to soccer i root for the USA. from the EUROPEAN UNIION..

  • ATTENTION ALL HATERS!!! The United States is number 18 in the world as of December of 2010, just right above France... We are always on the top 20 but yet people gives us shit...

Go hate on all the other countries below us first then get back to us...

  • Americans hate soccer??? No... The media portrays we hate soccer... Thanks to youtube, we are able to show the world how we really feel about the beautiful game...

  • silly americans, maybe in 10 years you'll have a chance to get to the quarter finals in a world cup

  • @xiempie Hey dumbass... Look at 2002... We we're in the quarter finals... Another stupid ass, ignorant American hater...

If you're really a fan of the beautiful game, you should be happy for us emerging the way we did in this game we all love...

  • @xiempie Lol, silly whatever you are, maybe one day you might get over your jealousy of not being American. [:

  • Uhh who said we didint like the world cup

  • @TheCowboysfan956 Glen Beck said we didnt.

  • @Thealterbridger

    fuck glenn beck

  • I still can't believe 12,000 people like soccer in Kansas City!

  • pause it at 3 seconds. brilliant.

  • The world cup is probably the only soccer event I pay attention too, and that game was FUCKIN AMAZING!!!

  • I hope this unless shows US why the worl love this game even if is just a low score game, the line between wining or loosing is so fine even if you do a great preformance, but thats drama, emotion, pure live without extravagances
