I see this Pov was when the Chiller was still young. Robin still has all of its LIMs. To reduce the chance of more power outages in the park the robin side was reduced to 3 LIMs at the top since it did not need it to travel back to the station. Batman needed all of its LIMs to make it back to the station.
I was about to get on the ride but the train that went right before me had a wheel bogie detach causing the ride to valley and it never freaking reopened!
Not that I didn't love this ride (Which I did), I'm still glad they took it down because I can't recall a single time I went there where one of the 2 sides wasn't broken or the whole coaster itself was shutdown, just can't believe they thought the Dark knight coaster was a great idea as a replacement...dumbasses

The problem is Six Flags is crap with maintenance and never bothered to maintain this properly because they were too buys blowing money hand over fist to put new coasters in. It's a shame a park like Cedar Point didn't get this. THEY would have gotten this running properly. You need only look at WIcked Twister to see they get it. Shit Flags sucks ass.
@Coasterdude02149 That makes sense. However LIM motors on a roller coaster of that proportion is a major hassle. If Six Flags were to have kept this ride, (which they should've) they would have had to replace all the motors. That is money that Great Adventure doesn't have. What I agree with you on is that if money weren't always invested on new roller coasters every other year and was invested on fixing BOTH sides of the Chiller and adding more ground rides, I would buy a season pass every year.

I like the little argumeent over which park is bettr. My opinion, Cedar Fair Amusement Parks kick ass. Cedar Point, Dorney Park, and Kings Island are awesome. Also, I dont think that the better coasters make better parks, it is the amount of rides and the variety of rides that make the parks great.

This ride was a stunner. That zero-g going backwards is such a highlight. I got to ride the red side a good 5-6 times the last year it was open. Truly a great ride, especially at night. Another coaster well before its time I think.

One of the few coasters that I actually enjoyed (Usually I'm scared of roller coasters), though the thrill of the ride was very short lived. Shame they took it off.

@jeter2tino24 The dark knight and the removal of the chiller were not related. The Dark knight was to replace the Movietown Water Effect. It was suppose to be running side by side with the chiller, but with the issues the Chiller had Six Flags made the decision to remove the ride. There is news of a potential buyer over seas.

@MateoSamsStudios Yeah... It may be a copy but they made it much faster and taller than the one at Cedar Point. All of our coasters compete in speed and velocity against other coasters. So although your coasters may be more "original" so to speak, many of ours beat them because of the speed and velocity.
@SeveringSkin it's only a few feet taller & not that much faster than Dragster and you can't tell me that you can actually tell the difference between the two in speed or height. NOBODY can. The only difference you can feel is Dragster's launch is smooth and KK vibrates the damn fillings out of your teeth on launch.

The sumerman power of steel in MA (now remamed Bizzaro due to this accident) some guy fell out of the coaster, and they decided to change the seatbelts which are in a "T" shapped, and I guess the chiller had them too? Also I heard there was an accident and the coaster got stuck...
Superman:Ride Of Steel and it wasn't renamed due to the accident.,it was renamed to increase popularity to an already popular coaster,and to repaint it since it needed to.chiller and Superman had a differant restraint system,they were made by two very differant companies so they wern't really similar.
Chiller had nothing to do with Superman.Superman and Chiller aren't even made by the same company.Chiller was a Premier,Superman which is now Bizarro is an Intamin with differant restraints.
FUN RIDE! Only problem was it was soooo unreliable and even with a short short line it was like 30 mins because there is only one train running obviously. Plus I only did Robin once, Batman was the only one ever open.
Fun ride though, esp with the lap bars. Ill miss it!

i got in line 4 this the same year it closed w/ a group. we decided the line was 2 long, and got out of it. the next time i came back, it was mostly taken down. now it haunts me in my dreams :(
They took it down because it was un-reliable, it was always braking down, and it would cost way too much to keep fixing it, so they got rid of it. Also what dose this have to do with TDK? The Dark Knight replace movie town water affects
that sucks i always wanted to ride it but they took it down and replaced it with the dark knight. they should have replaced it with something similiar at all such as another LIM. Mr. Freeze would be a good replacement (my favorite LIM that i rode!)
Viper was taken down for one of the top 5 coasters in the world, El Toro, And personally, as far as the Chiller vs Dark Knight goes, it's pretty even. Chiller looked interesting (even though it never raced) but TDK actually runs most of the time.
Meh, none of them look good to me. I personally rode TDK and thought it was a load of rubbish, but then again, Chiller was REALLY rough from what I heard and doesn't look like it holds a candle to either the park's other launched coaster nor the park's other inverting coasters. Of course, I never rode it sadly (it was closed when I went in 2007) so I COULD be wrong, but that's just my 2 cents. Either way I agree it couldn't be any worse than TDK.
If you had ever ridden this you would know this ride is NOTHING like a Boomerang. Do you know how many Boomerang coasters there are in the world? Like 80. There were no other rides like this one, it copied nothing. And boomerangs are lifted, not launched like this ride. And dude, A LOT of coasters go backwards

@MateoSamsStudios Yeah... It may be a copy but they made it much faster and taller than the one at Cedar Point. All of our coasters compete in speed and velocity against other coasters. So although your coasters may be more "original" so to speak, many of ours beat them because of the speed and velocity.

@SeveringSkin it's only a few feet taller & not that much faster than Dragster and you can't tell me that you can actually tell the difference between the two in speed or height. NOBODY can. The only difference you can feel is Dragster's launch is smooth and KK vibrates the damn fillings out of your teeth on launch.

they took it down because batman and robin:CHILLER kept on shutting down to check it cause it didnt work good. so they finally said we gotta take this down. so now they gave it to england (i think) to fix it and there going to keep it cause they build up the shitty knight >:(

The sumerman power of steel in MA (now remamed Bizzaro due to this accident) some guy fell out of the coaster, and they decided to change the seatbelts which are in a "T" shapped, and I guess the chiller had them too? Also I heard there was an accident and the coaster got stuck...

Superman:Ride Of Steel and it wasn't renamed due to the accident.,it was renamed to increase popularity to an already popular coaster,and to repaint it since it needed to.chiller and Superman had a differant restraint system,they were made by two very differant companies so they wern't really similar.

FUN RIDE! Only problem was it was soooo unreliable and even with a short short line it was like 30 mins because there is only one train running obviously. Plus I only did Robin once, Batman was the only one ever open.
Fun ride though, esp with the lap bars. Ill miss it!

i know the dark knight didn't replace this but the ride was not all that fun. sure, there were some moments, but there was no flare like Kingda Ka or Nitro. it was absolutely nothing.

i got in line 4 this the same year it closed w/ a group. we decided the line was 2 long, and got out of it. the next time i came back, it was mostly taken down. now it haunts me in my dreams :(

They took it down because it was un-reliable, it was always braking down, and it would cost way too much to keep fixing it, so they got rid of it. Also what dose this have to do with TDK? The Dark Knight replace movie town water affects

that sucks i always wanted to ride it but they took it down and replaced it with the dark knight. they should have replaced it with something similiar at all such as another LIM. Mr. Freeze would be a good replacement (my favorite LIM that i rode!)

Viper was taken down for one of the top 5 coasters in the world, El Toro, And personally, as far as the Chiller vs Dark Knight goes, it's pretty even. Chiller looked interesting (even though it never raced) but TDK actually runs most of the time.

Meh, none of them look good to me. I personally rode TDK and thought it was a load of rubbish, but then again, Chiller was REALLY rough from what I heard and doesn't look like it holds a candle to either the park's other launched coaster nor the park's other inverting coasters. Of course, I never rode it sadly (it was closed when I went in 2007) so I COULD be wrong, but that's just my 2 cents. Either way I agree it couldn't be any worse than TDK.

If you had ever ridden this you would know this ride is NOTHING like a Boomerang. Do you know how many Boomerang coasters there are in the world? Like 80. There were no other rides like this one, it copied nothing. And boomerangs are lifted, not launched like this ride. And dude, A LOT of coasters go backwards
