I'm getting sooo excited as I watch this (this is the first time I've watched this arc) I finally get to know Yami Yugi's past! And I agree, Thief King Bakura is majorly hot! I so love his scar! I know...I tried rewatching the English dubs, and it was horribly voiced and cut...and then the German dub had better voice acting, but still, a lot was changed and cut. I guess Germany bases their version of yugioh of our own instead of Japan's original. such a shame T_T so schade...

heh. That's actually the only reason why I even bothered to watch Yu-Gi-Oh! at first I thought it was only about stupid cards. Plus the characters were so stale and one-dimensional. But once I saw Malik, Duke Devin, Bakura, and the like...hot damn! I had to watch the original Japanese episodes! Now I'm hooked! (plus I care about the cards a little more)

Kazuki-san really knows how to draw some good-looking characters ;P

Yeah, Ryou is cute, but Bakura is damn sexy! In ancient times, I think he was even hotter, because he was in his original body with the tan and the muscles, but in modern times, he's still hot even though he takes over Ryou's body, he looks sexy.

I so totally agree with you, I've always been a die-hard Bakura fan. In the beginning I didn't really like his appearance in the ancient times, but lately I've grown to really like it. Well, there's two: Ryou, and Bakura, who is also known as Yami Bakura, or Dark Bakura, and also as the Thief Bakura. Bakura was a tombrobber who had his soul sealed inside the millennium ring (after making a pact with Zorc) when he died in ancient times, and he comes back again 3000 years later, when Ryou's dad finds the ring in Egypt and gives it to his son. Bakura picks up where he left off trying to get vengeance again.

The fainting Bakura is more of the real Bakura. The one that took over his body is the Bakura that has a piece of Zorc's soul inside of him. So the one that was fainting would be weaker.

Yeah, the one who faints is Ryou. Yami Bakura is the tombrobber whose soul is in the millennium ring. I think having Ryou as his hikari symbolizes the innocence of the sweet little child Bakura was growing up in ancient Egypt before his witnessed his family tortured and murdered.

Wait, sorry. I thought you were talking about something else. The one who faints is indeed the tombrobber Bakura. They were treating him pretty badly, so its no surprise that he faints. But yeah, his despair and search for vengeance causes him to later make a pact with Zorc and become more powerful and more psycho. But he dies trying to kill the Pharoah, and gets his soul locked in the ring for 3000 years till he can come out again.
