  • for some reason this and Walk on Water give me chills...so very beautiful, but then again all of his music gives me chills...there has never been or ever will be a singer/songwriter like this man

  • 1 dislike - pillock!

  • ND explained Dry Your Eyes was written about Martin Luther King. Listen closely, and it makes perfect sense. It's a great song.

  • neil diamond displaced in last waltz

  • great tune and so much meaning wow.

  • such a great song! Neil is basically debuting this song from the beautiful noise album released a couple months earlier, pretty ballsy BTW--most would think he would do Holly holy, or cherry cherry etc-brand new song and the crowd loved it! Diamond is the man!

  • I always took this song to broadly reflect on the Kennedy and Vietnam era. It can be taken to mean the loss of a soldier after a hard battle. Either way, it is very moving and the best song from that album.

  • Unforgettable performance in The Last Waltz

  • WOW!!! IT MAKES ME SMILE THAT 17 PEOPLE REALLY GET THIS SONG.. I DID NOT THINK THERE WERE THAT MANY SMART PEOPLE LEFT ON EARTH.

  • You did do it good! That's the only way you can! So beautiful! Love the beat of this song!

  • I am most likely wrong, but this sounds like his healing song in the wake of the killing of Kennedy's and MLK. And maybe in a larger view of a lost love one to Heaven calling them home. Thanks Neil.
