'I'm a soldier in the army of the Lord', another song that doesnt mention anything pertaining to salvation. Some unbelievers may even get confused by that song because the bible does list Murder as a deadly sin. If one's unfamiliar with scripture this song would be very contradictory to what the bible states.

@A2P86 I disagree with ur accusation against MaryMary, I listen to ALL of their albums, first song to the last, I myself being born again and filled with the Holy-Spirit say their music is VERY much so inspired by Gospel, musically and lyrically. Every single one of their albums incorporate songs directly taken from traditional sunday morning gospel. They are quite frank about their personal belief in Jesus how God blessed their lives, they testify and minister and aren't ashamed.

Wow! I listened to that song and I thought it was just a song about God blessing his people. But thank you for being obedient and clarifying. You nailed it! The truth doesn't hurt, it's letting go of the lie that does. I have been studying music and the mind for along time. But more focused on secular now this has caused me to really listen more to christian. Music evokes emotion and the book by Plate the republic covers alot of this and how people can use music to influence.

The songs been made so that any religion of any culture could sing it and call it theres. 'I'm a soldier in the army of the Lord', another song that doesnt mention anything pertaining to salvation. Some unbelievers may even get confused by that song because the bible does list Murder as a deadly sin. If one's unfamiliar with scripture this song would be very contradictory to what the bible states.

These songs all tell of God's goodness indirectly with a personal narration of the background that it came from. @domoent800 God did not say he was going to make you fly or give you money. Sounds like Prosperity Gospel which is not scriptural. It's just a wordly idol you worship because you want money and being fly. You don't care for god's holiness, you don't repent for your sins, and probably not even cry for them. How do you know you really believe in Christ of the bible? I mean are you studying it all the time to know God even more intimately, or does your pastor do it for you?

This song only wants us to see that God's People should be on top and that the people in the song are giving God the praise for the blessings that He has gave or restored! I often wonder why no one goes after the strip club songs that they play everyday on the radio, oh I forgot, I do go after those songs!
