In black urban schools, they blame whites for their lack of education, when I saw a TV special on how if black kids actually want to learn, they are bullied because they are trying to be too white. What's white about wanting to learn? They are pressured to deal drugs instead of learning. One kid got beat up 7 times for trying to learn. Its not the whites who do it, they do it to themselves. Do they ever acknowlege that?

I'm not a racist, but I will say this:

Electing Obama (in particular) will increases racism. He will do a terrible job with his "spread the wealth" policies, or socialism policies, and other policies. As he does a extremely bad job, white racist will have something to unite on, and they will grow.

RRbattlefield, having a poorly performing black (technically a half-black, half-white) president can no more legitimize racism against blacks than having a poorly performing white president (e.g. George W. Bush) legitimizes racism against whites. It's an illogical and bad argument.

Just as capitalism is not defined by its worst iteration, socialism is not limited to Stalinism. Furthermore, if you believe that "the socialist ideal" is totalitarianism, then you obviously have no familiarity with the subject at all.

Keynesian policies usually do not result in hyperinflation, and considering Obama's economic team includes people that have fought inflation like Larry Summers and Paul Volcker, hyperinflation is an unlikely possibility.

This is what Germany did when world war one ended, they spend money that wasn't real, when they were already in debt. They suffered from hyperinflation.

One of the things this video doesn't address and which is indicative in the comment which appears below is the willful ignorance of those who benefit from White privilege. A call to acknowledge the benefits from the institution of slavery which has been on going for years would also require a willingness to risk giving up such privilege in favor of a more fair and just system in America and honestly, many White Americans DO NOT WANT TO DO THAT.

I wish Tim Wise was on the show because he's very knowledgable in this area. White privilege is a softer way of saying "white supremacy". Unfortunately, since most whites are not taught about racism and usually encouraged to avoid the discussion they unintentionally (or intentionally) carry on the legacy of white supremacy. This is why Barack has to avoid topics about race since whites generally aren't ready for that conversation and would rather paint America as a colorblind utopia.
