this was a build in progress and I later upgraded the video card to a gtx 280 as soon as they were released. At the moment Im saving and planing an i7/GTX 480 build so look out for a new video in the next few months!

You cant use water is a liquid cooled sys, you have to use a coolant bc of the copper.

there is a limited edition version but its not the same case as the cosmos s, the black version has a massive metal part going across the middle of the case which means you cant see the inside making a side window panel useless.

the best way IMO is to buy the cosmos s and spray paint it black using some good quality paint for use on metal surfaces.

thats the limited edition cosmos, and i dont like what they have done with it, yeah it saves us the trouble of painting the cosmos s in black but... that massive metal panel going accross the middle of the case.... like wtf were they thinking?? that and the sily plastic swinging front door are the reasons not to buy the 'pure' editions !!

but each to their own, if you like it, then you like it and you should be happy !! either version of the cosmos is excellent qualilty and looks hot!! :)

yeah thats what i have, I take your point about the right side panel but I find completely transparent window panels ugly anyway. I have a nice red led setup which gives a similar effect to this guys rig just less transparent.

sand everything some, use adhesion promoter or primer, then go out and buy a matte black paint, and then a clear coat

the paint type doesnt exactly matter, there will be different feels, like enamel usually is thicker, automotive is very thin to its surface. Make sure you get a the same type of clear coat paint to match your color paint

I was contemplating between the Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 or S......or the newly released Antec Twelve Hundred case. Seeing that you had both configurations, which one would you prefer for a gaming platform with 3 4870 video cards in a crossfire configuration. Thanks!!!!! I would definately reccommend either of the cosmos cases for those cards because they are much longer than the antec 1200. So theres plenty of room for those massive cards.

All you do to turn your machine on is touch your fingertip to the power symbol. Touching it again will reset the computer, and touching it twice in rapid succession will power the machine down.

Thanks for the comment. The lcd display is an Alphacool LCD. Its is only blue. The camera focusing makes it look green for a sec. I bought it online from an Aussie store.

The case would send you off into cosmos hyperspace jus lookin at it. It's B E A Utiful. I could imagine some Scythe Kaze-Jyuni SY1225SL12SH 110CFM fans at 37db in this cosmos case with S2E Q9550. plz don get me started. I could imagine an ultra chilltec cpu TEC/heatpipe cooler aswell.

antec 1200 is more simple. the cosmos has great ventilation. and the top of the case has space specificly made for the radiatorn for water cooling. only thing its pretty heavy. ive been watching these vids a lot. tryin to make my rig but im 16 and a noob. tryin to work in microcenter but they wont accept me bunch of a holes. anybody can help me increase my computer knowledge that will be cool. ps anybody how do you get certified with A+.
