Video games and The Venture Brothers. At University a math friend showed me their mainframes--I served the military before I graduated University, three-wars then you get the GI Bill, kill then educate, a better World--and he showed me Rogue, the original pre-home-computer video game; they used keyboard characters to represent things and just redrew the screen of characters, such as 'M' means monster and 'X' is a wall; this would be Doctor Venture, if you made him creepy to the Nintendo age.
