  • Man I live in louisiana with 110 degree heat and 100 percent humidity and I would take a goodman over carrier or trane anyday. We don't really have that many problems with them here.

  • I have a Goettl and that just died. The repairman said that he couldn't fix. He said the compressor was blown and the parts for it no longer exist. Is this true? Or did he just want to sell me a new unit? Thx

  • i can only imagine how satisfied the renter is with his energy bills every month. good thing for the dollar menus huh.but be pround little timmy will get he toy with his meal.

  • My grandmother's condo has that same goddamn thermostat linked up with the Goodman featured in 2 of my videos. Piece of shit!

Also, I have never heard of Goettl. Who made it?

  • Goettl is the brand. They were here in Arizona. But they got bought out a few years back and now only their good name is being used, or should I say RUINED! I think they are slapping Goettle badges on Goodman's now. At least that's what I was told. The Goettle's form the 70's and 80's were tanks and some are still running. Hey, if you go check out that video of me fixing a Goettle at my brother's house, you will see one from the late 70's early 80's. The toughest A/C ever made and used in AZ.

  • @classifiedinfo have question putting on 12yr old goettl 5ton heatpump pkge and the 24volt wiring system is here and there.. the circuit board does not have the standard wiring hookups fpr t-stat. board says---- hold , 24, com, other initials cant read. im looking for - y,r,g,o,..... how do i do the wiring from tstat to unit? tstat- is wired r to r , y to y g to g, o to o.. thats how i got wired from tstat to roof. where do they go into unit ?

  • @TheForreal12 Why are you asking me? I know about a lot about HVAC, but I don't know anything about Goettls. I'd never even heard of Goettl until I saw this video. This is isn't even my video...

Maybe you should ask the guy who made this video??? HackFreeHVAC is a licensed HVAC tech in Arizona, and this was his brother's Goettl in the video.

  • Weren't the Chronotherms top-of-the-line T-stats when they first came out?

  • Hell yea.. it's funny his calls a Honeywell T-Stat a piece of shit.. and then throws in the new vision pro with intelligent recovery made by none other than Honeywell. Someone please tell me who sells more T-Stats than Honeywell?

  • It was a Piece of Shit because it was worn and blew the transformer. :-P And in today's standards, it's a POS. But not as bad as "BraeBurn". LOL@ THOSE Piece of Shit t-stats. They are a new brand built off of yesterday's techknowledgy. I can't believe you took every word in this video seriously. It was a joke video of the house my brother rents. People who know me knew the joke.

  • They made Chronotherm I, II, III, IV before starting the VisonPro line.

  • lol, I replaced a 2 ton goodman yesterday 11years old totally dry and compressor locked.. I didn't bother fixing (those get replaced lol)

  • Damn it lasted 11 years? That's long life for one of THOSE units. Well, out in Phoenix it would be LOL!

  • We have about a 5 month span for a/c action in my state, A 98 degree day is hot for here but we do get to like 105 in heat waves with horrible humidity.

  • Humidity is only here and there but we have a lot of days over 100, and too many over 110!

  • sorry watched part two first. your uncles house.

  • Ah!!! See, you didn't read the video info. LOL!

  • no shit! I use the same thermometer.. delta trak right?(4:30) what was your delta t on that thing??

  • did you say 20 degree??

  • 20 degrees about what?

It had a 20 degree split temp (94 return, 74 supply) with a humid house and all.

  • i noticed you say an old fing gettole do you like or dislike this unit?

as the saying goes somtimes older stuff is better than the new stuff .

and what is a rescue motor?

  • It IS an old f-ing Goettl! But it is a tank, and they always were tanks until after 2000 or so. Probably the most reliable brand ever installed in Arizona. Probably because it was built in Arizona! Rescue Motor is a universal fan motor. Covers a wide range of HP and loads and is reversable. Makes it so you have something to fit many applications.

  • Um, I think that is what it is.

  • Alice in chains and deftones?!!? damn you!!

  • LOL!!!!! That's right sucka!!! Although I'll wish Layne Stanley was singing. I heard the new guy aint bad, but that's one big pair of shoes to fill!

  • In case you didn't know, I'm betterthanbob. I made this channel for the VisionPro 8000 installation video. I really should have used a tripod.

  • HAIL TO HONEYWELL VISION PRO 8000 :)

  • Holy crap, thats a 30 year old unit? Thats the same unit I used to have in my house (indentical), just replaced it for a 13 seer trane package heat pump.

  • Yeah I thought 30 years as I looked at it. But it may be 25 years old (1983) once I looked at the tag. But still, they were tough as nails. You will certainly gain efficiency with the 13 SEER but don't expect it to be bulletproof like these were :p

  • whares part 2?

  • It errored a few times uploading. But it's up there now. :)

  • thnaks payson good service as allways but why was the new xformer so much bigger than the old one?

  • I don't think it is. It is about the same. 40VA (40 watts) which is typical.

  • did i see a 92 reading in that house?
