  • At the beginning, he totally looks like Cole Phelps from L.A. Noir.

  • I think the acting was a little flat BUT this is a fan film, and to expect high production from a fan film is ridiculous, and for a fan film the acting is great and IF Hollywood where to make a prequel Nightmare, give these guys some lessons and they could do great things. Of course, if they did make a prequel it would probably be the same team that made the remake, and I don't want them to do anything more to Nightmare, the regular sequels did enough damage.

  • @afroebob LOL! With a small minority of viewers we're over the top and now we're flat! That's why they make chocolate and vanilla...

  • awww poor little girl

  • Outstanding! the man who plays freddy really favors robert englund for a sec i thought it was englund! keep it up :)

  • @rachaelracer Thanks! I wanted to make my version of unburnt Freddy really recognizable as the character!

  • damn epic work and your right im sick of fucking bloody stupid remakes of good horror movies they need prequals and they should hire ya to do em

  • How did you make this I really do love it I am still trying to wrap my demented lil brain around how Im going to accomplish my "masterpiece" BRavo!!! I hope you make more of KRUEGER. I think you should turn it into its own series I really do I would love to see more of Freddy

  • WOOOOWWW! THIS GUY YOU GOT TO PLAY FREDDY IS HEEEEEELLLLLLLAAAAAAA FINE!!!!!!!!!! I have a huge crush on Robert Englund and this gguy reminds me a lot of him and I love a man with a red and green sweater with claw to match!! I am making my own fan film soon called Freddy's Dream girl. I would love to work with him. I am in Pittsburg CA near the Bay area. If not a date I would love to offer him a role in my movie!!! LOL!

  • @Staceylovesfreddykru Wow, thanks Stacey! You are the same Stacey that wrote me on Facebook, right? Thanks for the thumbs up!

  • This short film alone is justification as to why they should've made a prequel instead of a remake. Fantastic work, the characterisation of Freddy being an absolute monster is spot on with Craven's original.

  • @DayOfTheBread thank you very much.

  • @DayOfTheBread Thanks!

  • Wow - I'm surprised and impressed. Normally things like this are a bit shoddy, but this was really good.

  • Freddy, Jason and Micheal....Who is Micheal, the only three I can think of is Freddy, Jason and Jigsaw. Is there another popular one that I don't know about O.O. Whats the movie called

  • @wsw283189 google. make friends with it.

  • @blinky500 already used google XD haha, like 3 mins after i sent that comment. I have seen only one Halloween movie, I didnt realize it was a series which is why i didnt think of that Micheal. now I have 10 more movies to download lol

  • @wsw283189 1,2,4,7 and 8 are worth watching.

  • Fucking genius!

  • Fuck! He looks just like Robert Englund!

  • the freddy krueger actor is grade A everything here is amazing i was convinced this movie was hollywood made the whole the writing acting everything is just amazing, this is the original freddy and i truly love it thank you for this prequel so much amazing work, keep up the great work and thank you so much for doing this and good luck with any other moves you do even though you dont need it lol :D

  • @TheSofaCushion thank you

  • @TheSofaCushion Thank you for the comments on my Freddy performance! Chris did an outstanding job writing and directing this film and Shawn is an amazing actor and a total pro to work with. Again, thanks!

  • @joonasbw This takes place back when Freddy was still alive and human, what Freddy might have been like before he got the power to kill in people's dreams. Also just a bit off topic, try to spell and grammer check before posting your comments. Just a thought.

  • Amazing work, this should definitely be made canon!

  • I couldnt help but laugh when he walked in with those sideburns lol

  • @joonasbw READ THE INFO BOX!!!!!!!

  • holy crap the part when he said nine 10 never sleep again then he sliced the girl dude that made me jump out of my skin and tell the girl great acting for a little girl

  • some parts in it scared the sh!t outa me lol good work

  • Dude if I ever become head of a studio and want to make a psycho killer movie, I am so giving you an E-mail. No on screen murders, no go and no special effects, and yet that was still 10 minutes of suspense and scary.

  • @Technobabbleandbilly looking forward to that email.

  • Wow, Chilling, especially the ending. Good Job!

  • now i have seen the godawfulness that is the remake of nightmare on elm street starring that godawful actor jackie earle haley i really wish to god that i hadn't wasted my time watching it but ya can't erase the past! anyway in my humble opinion the actor who is featured in these fan made freddy movies here is a worthy successor to the legend that is robert englund!!!!! and i think ya should really make more freddy movies as these are a million times better than that crappy remake!!!!

  • @rimmersgirl81 Thanks! I really worked hard to be a credible Freddy!

  • @Godisibilen Uhhhmmmm....No!

  • Part 2 of my comments:: I was so disappointed in the 2010 remake in many ways. One was how they had Freddy in great fear when he was confronted and hunted - denying his crimes. I liked the TV series backstory starring Robert much better in that Freddy would never act like that. Freddy would never be remorseful. He would delight in taunting and tormenting both his victims and his accusers. I loved that you stayed true to Freddy's character that way here where the remake did not.

  • I've been a Freddy Krueger impersonator in Hollywood for a decade now and a NOES fan since 1984, and I have to say this was amazingly fulfilling! GREAT choice of actors, too! I've always been intrigued by Freddy's backstory - always longed to see a prequel. The closest we got was in the TV series, which was excellent but did not connect the Thompsons as it should have. Nancy has always been my favorite good character of NOES, so it was vital to reestablish the connection. Part 1 of my comments.

  • @GerardChristianZach Thanks! I wanted to represent Freddy correctly and Chris wanted the film to represent the original film and the characters in a faithful way. I totally agree with what you said about the 2010 remake as well!

  • This film was pretty good! Roberto Lombardi was chilling as Freddy. Keep up the good work!

  • @shadowking9739 Thanks for the "chilling" comment!

  • Krueger vs punisher.

  • That was AWESOME! Jeez! You guys rock! This was a great portrayal of Freddy before he became how we all know him. It seemed JUST like you would imagine Freddy would have been in life. Even Lt. Thompson sounded and felt like a younger version of the movie character. This was just great!

  • @DrPeterVenkman1983 Thanks! We worked hard to make the portrayals credible!

  • your freddy is such a good actor good job

  • @NachoMachoLibre Thanks! I appreciate that. I worked hard on being "Freddy" for this film!

  • Amazing job on this can't wait to see part 2

  • great short. i'm a huge fan of teh elm st. mythology.

  • Whoa, that dude looks exactly like Robert Englund, HE should have been in the remake.

  • @Dyli Thanks for the props! I kind of do look like Robert Englund!

  • freddy reminds me of cole phelps from L.A. NOIRE xD

  • That's true (and sry if I sounded rude) but in FvJvA:Nightmare Warriors in the end it send Krueger back in time to the day if his arrest in 1964

Anyway your film your rules lol, anyway um I'm pretty sure I saw comments and I just want to point out Krueger us in fact a rapist in the original series as he tries to rape Laurie in FvJ

  • @awesomeandboring i never read fvjva so im not aware of that extended time line. i just did the math. if nancy was 17 in 1984, i wanted her to be alive when freddy was caught. so i set it in the 70s.

  • Wait Krueger was arrested in 1964

  • @awesomeandboring they never set a year in the first film.

  • these guys got serious potential!!! awesome of you to show freddy as a monster rather than a prankster.

  • Freddy actor deserves to be in the remake

  • @awesomeandboring

Wow, thanks for the vote of confidence! I'm surprised by and thankful of the mostly positive responses to my portrayal of Freddy.

  • @PacoPapo You freaking ROCK DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It was ok, I don't think Don should have shown Freddy a picture of Nancy though no matter how badly he wanted his confession. Not as good as Myers but it was alright.

Also the man who played Freddy looked so much like Robert Englund (with a hint of Will Ferell) where do you find these actors.

  • It was ok, I don't think Don should have shown Freddy a picture of Nancy though no matter how badly he wanted his confession. Not as good as Myers but it was alright.

  • I absolutely loved this! The man who acted Freddy looked similar to Robert E., and this was creepy as hell. This is awesome! I loved the Nancy's picture came up.

---Wasn't the original Freddy sweater red and green stiped on the torso and plain, soild red on the sleeves? And they changed it during the sequels and remake?

  • He almost looks and sounds exactly like Robert Englund. Awesome vid man.

  • Wow!!! Please tell me you're going to keep these coming. This is too good to just leave at one quick fan vid and be done with it.

  • Loved it

  • That was really good, like really really good.

  • As a fan, I should point this out;

Freddy lived at 1428 Elm Street, Thompson did not move in until after Freddy's death. Also Freddy was arrested in 1966 and relesed in 1968. (Freddy's Dead)

  • @JFraser360 they never fully established 1428 was freddy's house in part 1. which was the basis of this movie. a lot of 80's sequels were footnotes and poorly plotted.

  • @blinky500 Good point, them sequels sucked! Freddy vs. Jason was good enough though.

  • @blinky500 ugh. yeah. i honestly thought that Freddy was cheating the rules of how to kill evil JUST because he was a stubborn ass that didn't want to stop. I'm actually in the process of writing a fan fic that BETTER explains the connection between the first three films (yes i had to choke down on flushing up the second one, but for a GOOD reason) and plan to release it this October. I know. Shameless advertising. oh and it'll incorporate a NEW nightmare killer that Freddy challenges.

  • As a huge NIGHTMARE fan, I really enjoyed this!!!!

  • This is awesome-very well done. I was hooked as Lombardi and Parr not only resemble younger versions of Englund and Saxon, they also gave fantastic performances. The short is chilling, intense and fits directly into the canon of the series. Great job! I'm a die hard fan of the series for over 26 years and this had my full attention! LET'S SEE MORE!!!

  • @waltlikka Thanks! When a die hard fan uses the word "canon" like you did it's really appreciated! I'm very happy that most fans of the series have given Chris, Shawn and I the thumbs up!

  • I liked it, but it some scenes the guy playing Freddy came off acting kinda homosexuel instead of sinister. I dunno if that was the director's intent, but it just made some parts seem silly. Especially the 'Wow, that's a toughy' line.

  • @mrjrd92 watch the nightmare series and tell me robert englund doesnt do the same thing. freddy is a pedophile. hes raped boys and girls. you do the math.

  • @blinky500 Of course I have watched the nightmare in elm street series, and I know he is a pedophile, but I can't recall him ever being gay. Sure he was cynical and almost childish when he played with his victims, but I don't think he ever uttered a word in the cliched 'gay' accent. Im not bashing your film, I thought it was quite good, and the actors did fantastically, it's just something I picked up on. Anyway, you said it yourself in the blurb, this is a more personal look at human Freddy.

  • @mrjrd92 The way I delivered that "toughy" line (and a few others) was meant to be insulting toward Thompson and his bravado at the start of the scene. I could say more, but I think over analyzing or over explaining would take away from the film.

  • @blinky500 actually that was only the remake, Wes Craven wanted to do it but he said it was the worst idea he had, but it's normal to mistake that, so Robert Englund wasn't playing pedophile, which is funny cause a newspaper said he was in the 5th movie, anyways nice short, but really do your homework before you assume someones a pedophile, LOL

  • @HorrorAbridged i DID do my homework. freddy IS a pedophile, a molester and a murderer.

  • @blinky500 yes, but not the robert englund portrayal of freddy, sorry, but maybe you checked the wrong website for information

  • @HorrorAbridged watch freddy's dead and freddy vs jason. but you know what? its a moot point and not really worth debating.

  • @blinky500 oh yeah, and also they couldn't do it because of all the recent molestation near the town where they filmed

  • @mrjrd92

I was goign to response, but blinky beat me to it.

I dont think it had to do with any thing homosexual. Current day society focuses EVERYTHING on that and it begins to seep into every aspect of life (for them) which it does not with everyone...that it simply NOT reality.

Im big on MMA and Basketball, but i cannot assume that everyone is..thats almost arrogant and self centered.

But if you watch the movies, thats how freddy is w/o the overplayed gay overtones of todays entertainment.

  • @mrjrd92 He did kinda turn into a chick and french a guy in #3...Not that Fred is really gay, just saying "toughy" is something I don't think he wouldn't be opposed of saying.

  • Just to be clear this was fantastic, albeit with some hammy dialogue.

  • GIVE ME THE FUCKING HAT

  • AMAZING

  • Damn Chris. This is GREAT! You actually got someone that looks like young versions of Robert Englund and John Saxon! I can't wait for Rise of the Boogeyman!! :D

  • OMG please keep making thse vids there amazing to watch i would rather watch this then the Reamke amazing job freddys background story is so intresting espically how you make him so creepy and evil haha keep up the good work and the actors were great!

  • excellent man

Lombardi played Freddy spot on. how you wrote him here is how I pictured Fred would be when he was alive

  • @marioradium2

Thanks for the thumbs up on my Freddy performance!

  • you're welcome man^-^

  • Wow! This is astounding.... Robert Lombardi definitely can play the part of Freddy really well, and I'm sure Mr. Englund can agree with that! He even has the way Freddy talks down right to a T.

  • @RakaiThwei

Thanks! I worked on the Freddy character for 3 solid weeks before we filmed this.

  • They couldent use this guy instead of the other shit guy? ( new nightmare on elm street)

  • @CoolestFun123

Hey stupid fuck. If it wasnt for the other "shit" guy, there would be NO elm street. No framework, no one to imitate. You probably think kobe bryant is better than Jordan too huh dumbass?

-Otherwise, this is GREAT! You guys did an EXCELLENT job! They should actually do a movie or tv series based on this.

  • @Mattixxg

Also, the Saxon character does resemble the Saxon of old, (Think Bruce Lees Enter the Dragon). This is great!

  • @Mattixxg

I think CoolestFun 123 was talking about Jackie Earle Haley (who I personally didn't think was bad) and didn't mean Robert Englund (who I think is unbeatable). At any rate, thank you both for the thumbs up on our movie and my performance as Freddy!

  • @Mattixxg i coukd tell you like basketball :0

  • another a brillant perfomance by robert Lombardi and another great plot though one quesion...the girl in the picture looks like the girl at the beginnig....is that the begginng

  • @MultiMole1 no, different girl.

  • @MultiMole1 THANKS!! I appreciate the kudos on my Freddy performance!

  • I really hope that Shawn makes it big in hollywood hes a great actor and i would just love to see him in more movies, also the guy playing freddy is great too. He looks like robert englund

  • I love the choice of actors. The legitimately look like the originals.

  • Can you upload your videos in HD? Alot of your videos dont fit the screen. I liked Roberto Lombardi in your video Kill or be killed. I dont like the part when Thompson says " your going to tell me everything i need to know in Vivid Detail. " After he just said " you think i need a confession to put you away. " I know you said he wants a written statement from Freddy but its kinda contradicting when he said that.

  • @ShadowManV3 I think Thompson was inititally lying, so as not to let Krueger know how much he NEEDS his confession. By the time Thompson says "you're going to tell me everything I need to know in vivid detail" he has abandoned that plan and is just trying to force a confession from Freddy. I could be wrong, though. :/

  • @rabbitlover44 nope. yer spot on.

  • @ShadowManV3 Thanks ShadowManV3! Krueger and Kill or Be Killed are my favorite two of Chris' short films that I've been in! I also think (judging from the ANOES series) that Thompson isn't really that great of a cop and bluffs his way through alot of things. He uses Nancy in the first film (and in this short) and is busted down to a security guard in part III. Very plausible that he would let Freddy get under his skin!

  • if u can please do us all a favor make a sequal of this u are amaseing <3!!!

  • @MyShadowninja the sequel is made by Wes Craven :P

  • @ScaryManiac LOL

  • i'm glad someone thinks freddy's dead is canon. i for one loved the movie, and am glad blinky does too. or at least liked it...maybe? :)

  • @JJJ10JJJ i liked the flashbacks.

  • @JJJ10JJJ i its maybe my least fav but i could see some good ideas. freddy's origins were the best parts

  • @JJJ10JJJ Freddy's Dead is one of my favourite NOES movies.

  • this guy who play freddy is realy like robert englund xd

  • That guy who plays Freddy does look like a young Robert Englund.

  • wow man u make the bast remakes

  • very well done man

  • I done seen alot of fan remakes of A nightmare on elm street and this is by far the best i seen. Good acting and production..keep up the good work

  • I mention to say cand you do the sequel of Halloween season please

  • @zach3949 in the fall, yes i will.

  • I mant

  • Man I love this fan film can you do the sequa

  • Man, you should have made the Elm Street remake...you have made some of the best films in the series.

  • @MikeyDendang thank you. i wish i couldve too.

  • Your Freddy was amazing! I'm loving what you're doing with these remakes. Just fantastic job, you are making these for the fans because you are a fan. I love it.

  • @TheRcanmeananything thank you very much.

  • @TheRcanmeananything Thanks for that! I really enjoyed playing Freddy and working with Chris and Shawn is always a good thing!

  • Freddysgot earing piercings

  • @Scarytommie LOL! Yes, I do. Last time I wore earrings was over two years ago in another film!

  • I have the same glove...

  • This is Awesome!!!!! Great casting to!!!!

  • Ahhh! I didn't see this when it was first uploaded!

  • Damn!! this freddy really can do a robert englund impression

  • Chris, this was great, I love what your doing here and am very excited to see the last video. I've watched your videos for years now and you have yet to disappoint me. Grat job and keep them coming.

  • @camcsales thank you.

  • @canadianboy625681 fund it and ill film it.

  • So, Freddy was lucky or prescient enough to know who would arrest him?

Also, the detective lost control of the situation. You don't give in to the suspect's requests. I'm guess Detective Thompson is new to the job.

  • @FaxModem1 dude, you're breaking the fourth wall. with all the improbable scenes that came out of the elm street series, thompson losing his cool is the least of your concerns.

  • That was fantastic, not enough good things to say about this. I look forward to Born on a Friday =)

  • 10 Mins on that low budget scene was 10x better then the entire remake.

  • Really good job man, kept my attention.

  • Awesome vid! Can't wait for parts 2 and 3. How come you didn't put any music to the interrogation scene? Do you feel like it would have been a little distracting? I've wanted to try scoring a film as I'm a musician myself. Where did you get the ending orchestral music? Did you write it or have someone write it for you? Can't wait for everything. Loved Mr. J as well.

  • @halvor311 the music was from the first nightmare scene. i chose to not have music initially because i wanted it to be silent.

  • love your vid sir. The best ones i have seen so far thou have to be this and your series of punisher videos. i would love to see more of the actors who played freddy and the punisher as they were amazing. you are a very talented bloke sir. nice one and keep u the good work :D

  • Chris, I've seen all of your movies and I have to say, this HAS to be in one of your top 3 productions. It was fantastic and lived up to the original Nightmare movie and was better then all the sequels in my opinion. Wow, what a job, it's easy to see you work your butt off and it certinaly shows. Nice work, can't wait for your other prequels

  • @Jbauerfan08 thank you very much. voorhees is gonna kick ass.

  • You make the best fan vids i've ever seen bro... Methodic should go Platinum Dunes...

  • @jswaffxxx thank you, i wish it could.

  • dudes burns are dope...

  • @jswaffxxx this is pre-burnt freddy.

  • @blinky500 I was referring to Lt. Thompsons Side Burns...

  • @jswaffxxx lol. yes they are.

  • Oh dear god that guy you got to play freddy, caught me off guard! He looks almost exactly like Robert Englund is scary! Amazing!

  • Nice work I wish it showed the trail and more and wish it was longer

  • Way better than some of the scripted hollywood trash!!!!! could watch this in a movie theater no problem ! :)

  • In this short film prequel, it really stood true to the original film. Throughout the series freddy developed from horror to comedy but in this he's really one sick motherfucker. Can't wait for the rest of " killer prequels"

  • I've seen every, and I mean, every single one of notarile's short films but this is honestly one of his best works. He's got amazing poteintal and I believe he'll make it out there one day.

  • I totally agree with Sir Jason Voorhees...it should be a continuous series...like Joker..I want to see more 10/10 dude!

  • Fantastic, Freddy was very sick and scary. I really enjoyed this and can so see it happening, much better then the tv show o.O.

  • As usual AWESOME! I thought I would drop a idea for series of films you may have fun with. There is a character called REPAIRMAN JACK written and created by the amazing author F. Paul Wilson. You should really check this character out and the Repair Man Jack novels.

  • Fantastic, better than Hollywood! Really imaginative!

  • Awesome.

  • Wow. Just... Wow. This is defenetly one of the best fan films I have ever seen!

  • They showed the trial of freddy krueger in the nightmare on elm street tv series.

  • @courtjester88 yeah i know. this could easily tie in to that.

  • awesome vid man. krueger is the villan u luv to hate.lol this krueger is no exception. he's sadistic, but i cant help but smile at the performance. freaKin awesome.lol 2 thumbs way way up!!!!

  • @jake2shy19 thank you sir.
