german armor was by far superior to soviet. even at the very end a small kampfgruppe would destroy much larger formations before being destroyed itself;some german tanks had as many as 100 kills. Look at what Bagration cost the Russians! Just the taking of Berlin cost Zhukov and the other general's armyys' DEARLY

Oh give me a break! Russians lost about 100 hundred men in Berlin operation but in result 1 000 000 strong defending army was anihilated! By the way what Panzerwaffe had to do with battle of Berlin at all?

Wrong my friend the Russians lost 325000 men in Seelow Heights-Berlin operations.The number of the defending army was 60000 Wehrmacht and Volkstrumm and a 14000 French SS division that arrived in Berlin.The Russians lost 800 tanks in these 2 battles so thats 325000 troops and 800 tanks in 1 month pretty harsh.That happened because of the race betwen Koniev and Jhukov.. sending a tank army to conquer heights isnt a bright thing to do even against a spent army.Next time you talk say sometin smart

325000 dead? Youve lost your fucking mind son! Even Moscow and Stalingrad battles were less bloody! You probably mean total loses including sick and wounded. Unrecoverable loses (KIA/MIA/POW) were 78 000 men. I dont give a fuck how many troops defended Berlin itself, but I know for sure that intire Army Group Vistula was annihilated in result of Berlin operation. 200 000 dead and half a million Pows. Thats German figures. So suck it up kid.

At this stage of the war Hitler was completely insane, he wasn't listening to any of his general staff cause they tried to blow his ass up just a few weeks after the battle of Normandy; now all his military advise was coming from astrologers and mystics...I quess he decide to fight a war by horoscopes, and krauts couldn't get out of those uniforms fast enought kill them all

The fact that the germans were able to document their defeat on camera is testament to their utter professionalism as soldiers. Their pursuers were largely illiterate, poorly trained conscripts who had an overwhelming advantage in numbers and equipment. German tanks averaged ten russian tank kills before being destroyed. Russian tanks typically lacked optics for their guns, and radios were unheard of.

About ten Tiger tanks destroy one T-34 and take two Soviet soldiers prisoner? Not bad. On the large scale of things Operation Bagration by Soviet forces in 1944 resulted in more than 600,000 Germans dead or captured and the destruction of the entire Group Army Center. The rest is propaganda bullshit.

... plus they broke out of encirclement by larger forces in several place, in these particular battles.

The film just shows a little bit what one camera-man saw - not the whole battle.
