  • I am very impressed by this aspie!

  • I've known about you for 3 seconds. Stop dyeing your fucking hair, you silly NT.

  • When I first found out I had Asperger's two years ago, I sought out all support groups. I ended up taking a train 3 hours to New York City to meet with the GRASP support group. I learned a lot of "stuff", but I definitely did not get along with honestly any of the people. Most of them scared me. It was not what I thought it was going to be. Your video is so true. Thank you.

  • This is no attack against your argument, but I have seen and read that neurotypicals pretend to like each other even if they do not like each other, so it is possible that if some random neurotypicals are placed in a room, they will falsify liking each other even though they execrate each other. What the hell is wrong with them?

  • its the opposite, people with aspergers like people that are very social. I know this from personal experience..

  • qontinued: I can also, in some cases be overstimulated too many people around me, which can be tiresome at times. I may also a need timeout and a little time to myself at times to "sort" things. I do not go out on the town, i dont like that.I've always been a loner in the sense that I have few friends who come to visit and call me. No, I am asked out as much either.I do care a lot for my friends, perhaps more than normal people. I do have a lot of different interests like fishing, hamradio++

  • I agree with you that not all persons with AS is the same. I may be perceived as someone who does not smile very much, because when you always have felt a little out of place,it is easy to feel a little depressed. It is easy too get that way when someone never has been so very good at read non verbal communication. Of course that has improved a lot over the years, and social mistakes does not happens very often any more. Big mistakes can of course happen.

  • I decided to watch this video because I think I might have the Aspie Syndrome, and all I want to know now is AnMish single?

  • I am Aspie and quite frankly I haven't met another I get along with in my lifetime. The logic is we should be able to understand one another better but the reality is our quirks irritate the hell out of each other.

  • Hi. I've met a lot of other aspies post-diagnosis and some of them really do bore me to tears, but the ones I click with I REALLY click with. Not only because I feel more comfortable being a little strange, but also because talking actually seems to go better. Not as many bumps in the road, it's like we're talking to the same beat. Ever experience that? Happens with pure ADHD people too.

  • Oh god...I dislike most other people to begin with, much less people like me. They drive me up the wall, haha. That being said, one of my best friends is also an aspie and we get a long just fine, but it's an online friendship...

People are just ignorant and assume things without knowing the facts. Luckily you made videos that dispel such ignorance and maybe one day people won't ask such silly questions.

  • Very well put. Thank you for this video.

  • Are you a transgender? Sorry if this is offensive and you're not, you really seem like one.

  • @elidrissii I'm not. I'm a woman and I've only ever been a woman.

Why do I "seem like" a transgender? 'Cause I don't speak in a little girly voice?

  • @TheAnMish This is in spite of AS. There is another aspie myth, that AS women have male brains. You don't seem transgender to me but I know you are bisexual, do you consider yourself a member of the LGBT community? That is, the LGBT subset of the rainbow coalition. You are a woman, and you will ony ever have a female body, whether or not you ever get pregnent.

  • @Myrtone Continued - Peolpe say you are beautiful, but you were or still are "too fat for modeling." And you certainly don't appear to be a buxom.

  • @Myrtone Continued - Bob Dylan was supposed to go for buxom women but apart from British blues artist Dana Gillespie, most of them were (more or less) as flat chested as you.

  • @TheAnMish LOL at 'transgender'! I don't think, that thought had occurred to any one else! Obviously, you're right, that a person suffering from a condition will not necessarily like a co-sufferer, simply because that person is a co-sufferer. However, surely the condition would serve as a common interest, and minorities do tend to stick together, or at least to try harder to get along.

  • @TheAnMish Heeeeeeeeeeeeey. Yes of course is that. Look. Is true that im as irritant to other asps as to NT, but the fact that some of them do not think im joking when talking about some things -that is quite refreshing

  • @elidrissii You're crazy and have issues, she's clearly a woman!! You're just jealous!

  • I'm an Aspie, and I have some friends who are NT and others who are Aspies. The only problem I ever actually had with them was when one of the other Aspies and I decided to date each other. There was no chemistry and we had little in common, so it ended after only a few weeks.

Sometimes there are overlapping interests, it just takes a little while to find them.

  • actual we do and im asperger kind alot better then normal cuz is a aspergers gets broken we shot people out we hate people that are retarted it distest full im wit to know how i can lean math with my aspergers its so hard to learn but i wont a saying or something that can make learning easyer for me i

  • well said (: . i just found your channel, and all the videos ive seen so far are really great,

    i admire your clarity.

  • I'm 11 and I have aspergers, My mum showed me a video that explained it, if people at school think I'm weird, I'll just say, "Hey, guess what? I have aspergers you dick :D" I'm an aspie and proud of it!

  • @SaintsBro217 - there is no need to call someone 'a dick' because you're not like most of the population. The moment you use profanity is the moment the world stops listening and they have every right to do so.

  • Agreed. I'm aspie and I know a lot of aspies who are absolute jebends/bellends and dickheads, same with NTs. I also try and see pass the label to be honest.

  • Assburgers, lol.

  • I'm interested in cute girls with fair skin and a flair for the arts. I'm sure your interests are similar.

Why can't I be this smooth IRL?

  • I think I may have it. Heres my email, can you tell me what the symptoms of aspergers is? Im curious. I think my mom might have it too..... mariaandreacarrion@gmail.com

    Please please please email me?

  • @mezmaries I don't email anyone. And this is something you can easily research.

If you want to learn a bit more than just the average symptoms though, I'd suggest reading The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome by Tony Attwood.

  • @TheAnMish Hi, I'm 17 and I have Asperger's...Would you mind if I could talk to you about your own experience and how to cope with it...? You seem to have a lot of insight into the syndrome...I hope it's not a problem for you....Please?

  • @TheAnMish Hey, I'm 17 and have Asperger's....Do you think you could talk to me, give me some advice on how to cope with it...? You seem to have so much insight into the syndrome....? I hope it's not a problem for you... Please?

  • @mezmaries - You need to see your doctor.

  • This is perfect. Thank you :)

  • Aspies typically hate other aspies because they do not like to communicate with others basically. Even if they start communicating they would not be having conversation. They both would simply be stating what they know

  • @akapbhan Actually, you are wrong. I know SO many other aspies who also know alot more and we mostly get along. Id say 90 percent of aspies.

  • @AirsoftSteveCope Haha...you're so lucky :D I've only met maybe two aspies in my entire life....*sigh* :P

  • @AirsoftSteveCope If you get along with 90% of any people you are not an aspie you are an NT. I communicate with others on a need to know, want, wanted or needed basis. Having less brain for communication is a good thing use it. Don't try to pretend like an NT

  • @akapbhan Im sorry, but do you have a PHD in mental disorders hmm? No.

The person who diagnosed me DID and I think he knows what he was doing.

I had the chance to socialise with other aspies and people with autism.

We dont all want to be alone.

    EVERYONE is different.

  • ANARCHIST!!!!!!!

  • I am an Aspie... I have a PhD in Computer Science: Artificial Intelligence... I do like you alot indeed .. You are a very attractive human being. I wish I can talk to you in real life.

  • @stephanzeitschel2007 wow i don't think you are an aspie who has a PhD in artificial intelligence. You are like an artificially created aspie creep. very attractive human being seriously??? Try to talk like an aspie not like one of the 80's alien invation movie's alien.

  • @akapbhan I believe you hate me alot... I do not understand what the subtext implies... I do feel like an alien in many ways and I cannot relate to people socially. My biggest problem is that I am 40 and will always stay alone and that makes me very depressed. I am telling the truth as wired as I may sound.

  • I like this.i hav aspergers

  • your logic is so sexy :)

  • I am really impressed. If you had not specifically stated that you had Asperger's, it would have never crossed my mind. What I see is a beautiful young woman who is intelligent, well-spoken, has a good sense of humor, and seems to be doing well for herself. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you do.

  • I am too aware of how much i suck. I envy full blown retards who are oblivious to their own failure. Seems like every other aspie i talk to has something that makes them valuable to society, I do not.

  • yes i have very mild aspergers tho and savant syndrome(although not technically a registerd disorder)so socialization is possible its just not natural it had to be learned we met during one of my comey shows shes also older than me(by 8 years) so that helps too. ty though its nice to hear i insipire

  • I can totally see why that group session did not work out. But one thing I would say is that for me, thinking of my close friends irl over the course of my life, a majority of them are probably on the spectrum or near it. It's not deliberate but I relax better around people who intuitively understand me. Having said that, some Aspies I know are really, really annoying and I have a lot of interests in common with my friends, both being Aspie is not enough in itself of course.

  • are there different levels of Asperger Syndrome? as in, some are more severe than others? i'm worried that mine could be severe, if so, i guess that means i will never get a girlfriend, never experience female companionship

  • @nobodysperfect06 It's a spectrum, so yes.. there are many "levels".

If you want to have a girlfriend though, then it could be a matter of putting a lot of work into adapting your behavior, so that NT's can better understand you.

I think of it as speaking two languages.. I can speak NT if I want, and it's extremely helpful.

It's not easy to learn, I won't lie.. but I think that for most aspies by far, they can learn to some extent if they're willing to put the work into it.

  • well i'm worried that i will never get a girlfriend, that i will die a virgin, be single for the rest of my life

  • @nobodysperfect06 In that case.. you want to really make an effort.

I'll be getting into how I learned to "speak NT" in some of my future videos.

  • @TheAnMish so you think it can be overcome? it is possible for me to get a girlfriend?

  • @nobodysperfect06 I think so, yes. I also think it's up to you. Unfortunately, we can't get the average NT to learn to speak aspie, so we have to learn to speak their language instead.

And I think that by far most can learn. Especially if they put the work into it, that it takes to learn such a complex language.

  • @TheAnMish you said think so? so you are not a 100 percent sure?

  • @nobodysperfect06 How could I be? We're talking about people. And I'm no expert. I'm just another aspie. No education in psychology. No experience beyond a few conversations, and the many years of work I've done with myself in this regard.

I don't know that anyone could expect me to even remotely be 100% sure about something like this.

But I think so, and I've certainly been able to do it. Many aspies are married and have children. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to.

  • @TheAnMish I've thought about suicide before because i just can't picture myself ever getting a girlfriend

  • @nobodysperfect06 Ehm, how old are you? Some years back I was thinking this aswell cant say its all easy but the more relationships/practise you have with it the easier it will go.. all I can say for myself is that I really have to focus on seeing my partners side of things.

  • @MrToobie well i have never been in a relationship before, never had a girlfriend, i have always been single, it is very frustrating

  • @nobodysperfect06 Well I suppose all of our problems are different I've focused so much time in trying to understand others and at the same time having great friends actually 'forcing' me into making contact with in my case girls. It has never been easy and it never will but the more practise you get the easier it gets.. but Dating, being in a relationship etc.. Its both lovely and really painful, yet I can feel that you long for it.. since everyone does :/

  • @MrToobie i would rather have loved and lost than to never have loved at all, i just want to get experience, i just want to get the monkey off my back, finally end the single streak

  • Comment removed

  • @nobodysperfect06 Its really hard saying tips without actually knowing what your problems are, I'm no expert and I struggle A lot with this myself but perhaps I've learned something, if you want to chat about it somewhere else (msn, skype?) since its pretty hard actually saying something in a 'comment page'.

  • @MrToobie how old are you by the way? i'm gonna register for Skype

  • @nobodysperfect06 Bro, you sound like a cool guy. Don't think about your dick so much to the point where it would cause you to commit.

I've been down that path and thought fuck it, I'm going to live and breathe how I want. Now I'm a full time photographer with an amazing job that I love and I'm going to start travelling.

Set goals and you'll achieve whatever you want bro.

    Young guy from Australia.

  • i actually agree and disagree the girl im going out with has aspergers syndrome like myself but that is not the reason that i love her its because shes a nerd like myself most people i socialize with are neurotypicals

  • @joeydollazbaumgart you have a girlfriend and you have Asperger Syndrome? that is inspiring

  • I like auto-fellatio. Do you like auto-cunnilingus?

  • you dont have a brain dysfunction. You have a brain hyperfunction. You must deprogram yourself from the lies that average stooges have programed you with because of their inability and generally lower animal nature.A S people are technically superior to so called NT people......to cont.

  • @brendanmichaelpix ....continued. Stop using their terms and labels.Replace them with terms that reflect reality from a more advanced state of awareness that the commoners cannot achieve.Thats why your here. You are the teacher not them.words are powerful.watch what you say

  • @brendanmichaelpix BTW the long term effects of cosmetics and especially hair dye are quite negative and related to dementia and reduced iq just like flouride and aluminum are.bone and joint problems like gout and arthritis as well as cancer have been linked to dye and cosmetics and other so called hygiene products such as deodorant toothpaste soaps and shampoo. Please dont trash your awesome body. Also which is your natural color? I would guess red

  • @brendanmichaelpix Whether or not I wear makeup and dye my hair is my business alone.

My natural hair color is a dark blonde, so no, not red at all.

And on the serious side; I'll use the words and labels I want. Aspies are not always better than NT's or vice versa. I'm tired of people trying to make us feel superior (or inferior for that matter). It doesn't have to be either or. We're just different from each other.

  • @TheAnMish I don't understand why you have to be harsh given that you don't wear (obvious) makeup in your newer videos, and that you have retured to more or less your natural hair colour.

  • @Myrtone Harsh to whom? And it really shouldn't matter whether my hair is dyed and whether I wear make-up.

My hair is just as dyed now as before, and I'm too stressed to put on make-up, even though I would like to.

Either way, sometimes I get pissed off, too.

  • I have AS, but with that mentioned; I always try to show interest in what the other person is saying because that is what I would like in return. Is it easy?--no, but I like to supersede my condition and be not such a selfish seeming, shall we say --doof-head? I draw a very fine line between myself and all the "NTs" ............. and of course simply having the same situation does not lead to commonality........ Asperger's does not define you or me............just relax and let it ride (:

  • Very true, the problem is also that not only do we have different brain funtion than NTs but also each other. Every single case of aspy is VERY different so in a way we are more different than each other so its better to have "groups" with NTs rather than people like us because of the vast ways we are different. An i say better off in group with NTs because at least this way we can relearn or try to understand better generic behaviour and put it in to everyday use.

  • LOL! Thats how it will go too... "Hi, I like horses, you?" "ancient Greece"

  • Comment removed

  • Watching your videos, I'm kinda wondering if I'm an Aspie. I have really bad anxiety and a super active mind that I know is completely different from all of my friends. What made me relate the most was in another video where you said you're acting all the time. This could not be more true for me. No matter what social situation I'm in, I feel like I'm playing a character. I'm always worried that even my closest friends are going to have an "Ah ha" moment, and realize that I'm different.

  • Hi! I really enjoy watching your videos since I have a daughter ho we suspect of being somewhere in the autistic spectre. she is not diagnosed yet but the more i learn the more obvious it gets to me. Youre videos really helps me get a better understanding of some of the choises she make in her life and understanding the way she thinks a little better.

she's 14 now and really struggeling with school and her social life which seems not to come natural to her....again, thanks.

  • In my experience, I notice that Aspies get easily annoyed by other Aspies.

  • I can connect with them better (since I'm one myself) but can also relate with anyone disabled or nondisabled a little. That's a weird feeling wonder if you feel like this sometimes lol

  • Dear fellow Aspie this is a great video. In my case I do get along with others like me but also do seem to usually stick to myself a lot. Not to sound fresh but I think you are very pretty. Keep up the good work on these videos.

  • So you're saying you don't like Aspies because of their interest limitations? Then why should an NT like you if you have interest limitations? I don't like horses or ancient Greece either. Next.

  • @staciejung I find it interesting how much I have to repeat my point made in this video. It has to do with the myth that ALL aspies like to spend time with ANY and ALL other aspies they meet. I've met several people who actually think this is the case, which of course it isn't. That's all I was saying.

  • I heard a rumor that people with Asperger's syndrome are secretly dragons but they've put us under a spell that makes us think they're human. Is this true? You should make a video about it.

    Just kidding.

  • this video is the truth! lol

  • nice video

    Point made.

  • what I found is that I don't look at people's faces a whole lot when I am speaking with them and at first it seemed easier to talk with other Aspies (in one of those groups LOL ;-) and what I soon discovered is that what on first blush appears to be a communication advantage ends up being a double disadvantage

  • We don't? Ah shit. Well, always can go play the non-Aspie field.

  • Just because they are not interested in what you are doesn't mean you can't have a chat with them. Find common ground, if you bring up something interesting in the news, or ask them if they saw the football game etc that they can relate to, conversation can be easy. And after a few minutes of probing you can find out what the common ground is.

  • @Bigminimus1 This all sounds really easy for you assuming that your an NT.I am almost positive that I am an aspie and to tell you the god honest truth, small talk is very very painful for us lots of the time. It gets factored in with two aspie specific traits that we carry, one is not being able to understand peoples intentions and social cues. Which makes conversation painful and rigid for both parties. And the other is that it is literally hard for an aspie to venture outside of his interest..

  • @leoothelip even if it may be for a short period of time.Imagine never being able to connect to people based on spontaneous topics of interest such as football or maybe discuss a funny habit that you both may share. For example I am a rangers fan, but literally cannot walk outside wearing any sort of rangers memorabilia out of sheer fear that someone will talk about hockey for a couple of minutes and then the conversation will just stop with me rudely looking away from the person and not talking

  • @leoothelip Don't stop trying. Take baby steps to reach your goal. You sound like an interesting person & this world would miss out on your views of shared interests. Just plant your feet & body to ground, not allowing fight or flight reflex to get best of you. Ask person a related question, which will guide him/her to do most of talking. You don't have to fit in everything that you want to say all at once. Whatever items you forgot or couldn't get out, save for next encounter.

  • @aspietrait101 Thank you! This is mostly what I do. Free thinking is still incredibly hard for me considering my social cues are all over the place and my interests are so strong. I would love to actually be able to communicate with everybody around me freely without interfering with the flow of the conversation. I also dont know if this is not or is an aspie trait but I could care less about strangers, and sometimes am indifferent towards random people I am around. Super weird.

  • Autism is NOT a brain DYSFUNCTION. We are simply lonely because we are socially awkward. In a planet full of NT's, the world is a lonely, scary place for someone with Autism. People with Asperger's Syndrome have trouble with empathy-causing social problems. Other Aspies are easy to relate to because we are alike in some ways. It's like a nerd-to-nerd relationship.

  • Did you do a test where you meet Aspies who have similar interests as you, which I am assuming is music, theatre, dance, entertainment, etc.?

I only recently self diagnosed myself, although I have always known that I was different than NTs. Now I suspect that my many friends, past & present, from school & work also have AS, which may explain why we get along better than w/NTs. We have a lot of understanding & compassion for each other's quirks, habits, etc. BTW, I am in the scientific field.

  • I had a better time in ASAN (autistic self-advocacy network) than any other autism group. We all have a common goal to change society for the betterment of autistics. ASAN members are usually much more self-motivated than most auties. They join by choice, not because their parents push them. Stimming is always welcome, even encouraged. I don't hear a lot of long special interest talk, at least not without interruption from the leader. We're serious advocates, so we do our best to show respect.

  • I probably have Asperger and I can get along with other Aspies pretty well. Ofcourse there are some arguments I've gotten into, but most of the time we respect each other and we're honest when we don't like something. It seems to me that there's much more mutual respect with the Aspies I like.

  • I take your point - however I do think Aspies tend to be more sensitive and thoughtful, evewn more gentle, kind and loving. I don't get angry or impatient, for some reason. I think that will help in making contact with others; I find Aspies have a somewhat more convoluted way of thinking and it might be easier communicating with someone whose mind works in a similar way. It doesn't mean you will have similar interests or outlooks though, as you say.

  • hey i really want to talkt to u.....im an aspie.....i friggan suck with ppl.... ima chem member..... all of ur mannerisms are beautiful.....yeah with me its chem, microbiology, sumeria mesopatamia, persia, i was just diagnosed about 4 months ago... my brain functions on a whole different wavelegnth than other ppl....im so anti social im a hermit.....i cant be in a relationship.....i take 1200 mg of lithium a day and they are trying to get me on depakote....im just lookin for someone to talkt to

  • I get in arguments with my FB Aspies friends, end up blocking them and adding them a year later, get into another fight and well... See the pattern? Lol.

  • @TheAnmish I just came back from an xmas party at one of these Asperger groups and I must say that I felt more out of place than I have in a long time. So I know exactly what you are talking about. The last function I went to prior to this was at the Carpenters Union xmas party and while I felt a littlle out of place it was not too bad seeing as how there was more of a sense of similar interests and experiences relating to work etc.

  • @somethingdiffereable:I wish I was in a group like that since I'm an Aspie too

  • You are gorgeous. And very intelligent.

  • Comment removed

  • @AWinterDemise More like Catalia (Nadine Velazquez) from My Name is Earl, at least in terms of expressions and mannerism than Manson

    @illegalsmirf WTF!?

@TheAnMish your attitude sucks (just going on this video)

  • "better luck next time"??..what was that for?

  • MsHappyloner It's a good job you are happy.

  • Internet forums are great for me to discuss things i am interested in.

  • Comment removed

  • Did you know that you look A LOT like Marilyn Manson?

  • i got asperger and i feel the same way, my mind always seems like its being blocked by like a wall. thats not letting me communicate with people that have different intrests. if that makes any sence at all. where on the most hand other people can adapt to different situations easier i cant.

  • Comment removed

  • I personally know two Aspies in real life: One is sociable but he has anger management; One is a recluse and immature. I am an Aspies myself and I find AS people extremely stubborn and obsessive. I rather hang around with NT than AS, to be honest.

  • You remind me of Dustin Hoffman from Rain Man!

  • Is this what a post-op looks like?

  • @lakishajenkins did you get scared?

  • Comment removed

  • Agreed once again. I haven't clicked with other aspies. Maybe a couple. But definitely not many. Great point.

  • i like when she speaks stops and looks at you, and listening to the buzz of the room feels comfotable

  • fuck shes hot and shes smart

  • I highly doubt this female has aspergers. She's just a bitch. Emo kids..../sigh

  • @MsHappyloner I highly doubt this is a female.

  • Hilarious... :) Thanks for this. People like you helped me get through high school (back in the '80s). !

  • dead on the dot wow the best way to explane it if anything we would ave most likly not make freinds with other aspies because our intrest are verry clear and we dont wont to talk about anything eles so one persone wants to talk about trains (eg.) and an other wants to talk about PC so yer well done well cleared up thank u

  • I'm an Aspie. My friend Midna (who an Aspie too) has a lot of things in common. She is very understanding, friendly and no ones comes as close to her.

I would only date and Aspie, because they have better personalities, and they are nicer. Most people where I live are mean, judge people and just don't care. Most NT people party and get wasted every weekend, I hardly share any interests with them.

It's very hard to find someone who is nice and matches my personality unless they are Aspies.

  • @UsernameHasExpired:I know how you feel because I feel the same way too.

  • @UsernameHasExpired I don't think Aspies have better personalities, but I tend to like em better... And I have recently more or less decided that the only relationship that might work for me is with an aspie of the opposite sex.

  • Excellent video! Funny thing: I'm an aspie and there's an aspie girl who lives next door; we seem to have a great deal in common, including musical and literary interests, but we've never spoken to each other because neither of us leave the house much. I wouldn't know how to start up a conversation even if I did bump into her. Only reason I know we have a lot in common is because our parents work together and are always comparing us lol!

  • I agree with this vid. It's like assuming that a room of normal functioning people will all get along which is never true. I'm an aspie btw.

  • @BlackOctober1985 I mean like they're meant to truly get along so not true.

  • Most of my friends are other aspies. We communicate on the same page and may have different interests but we are respectful of each others' interests and love to exchange knowledge.

  • wait...what?

  • I have to disagree with you to a certain extent. If you get two aspies with the same or similar interests then they can get on REALLY well. I am an aspie and I have a close friend who displays aspie traits though he has never been tested. When we are working on a project together we end up working on another level. Other people have extreme trouble following what we are talking about. In that situation we very often don't finish sentences because we already know what the other is thinking.

  • half true

  • I make a conscious effort to listen and to reply accordingly, but it gets tedious when people speak lengthily. I dread to think what it would be like to speak with someone who speaks as much about one topic as I do.

Also, to me, you're obviously acting. I'm not saying that to insult you, I'm just really surprised that people can't see that your behaviour is artificial. Why do I see it, and others don't?

  • Wow! People call me rude but I do not feel like talking about what you want it does not interest me! I am obsessed with research and finding why and how... Trying to understand how others think or portray things and understand why you inerpret them differently it drives me nuts... I cut people off but do not mean to I also repeat about 70% of everything I say in my head and out loud! Odd?

  • @musicdocumentary Try to slow down the conversation, and practice listening (treat it more like a waiting, a long wait, or big gap of silence (on your end)) when others are replying to you. Don't think that this is impossible to do. It just takes a lot of practice and determination to break a perhaps very old bad habit or reflex response.

    We're Aspies...we can accomplish anything!:)

  • @aspietrait101 Oh God waaaaaaaaaaaaaaiting I can't breath just thinking about it! Good thing my family is understanding me better do you think Autism is genetic?

  • @musicdocumentary I have had the same debilitating Aspie thoughts as you, & nightmares, especially for the first 3/4 of my life. For me, it was worth finding coping mechanisms to find truly good friends.

I highly suspect a genetic predisposition in my family line. Our brains are just wired differently than NTs. I was lucky to make a few childhood friends who accepted these quirks, not knowing this was genetic. This small success made me slightly more confident going forward.

  • @aspietrait101 The reason I ask if Autism is genetic is because my son got a medical diagnostic in december and they said he has autistim with sensory integration disorder and low muscle tone It's very hard because I myself am still trying to understand the world but I can't sit back and analyze anymore I have to face things It's hard to bond with him I told my Mom that and she looked at me and said now you know how I feel with you, it hurt!!! Thanks for your advice I always appreciate any help!

  • I want to meet someone with aspergers who is just like me and does exactly what I do.

  • I dont care!!

  • I have an extremely hard time in engaging myself with things that I have zero interest in. I am failing my college art history class a second time now because I try and try and try to find the information, but it just doesn't pop out at me. And when I recycle words from text, the professor grades it poorly. I draw a complete blank when it comes to writing essays on things that matter least to me. And when my friend mentions things she likes and I think suck, I pretty much in one ear and out the

  • @setsunasamachan I stopped going to an english class for mature students after the first lesson I just could not take interest and also a lot of ppl in the class were a lot younger than me so never went back.

  • She does look like a supermodel, but I dont know whether she has it or not. Its none of my business and it doesnt matter to me. I dont particularly care.

What I would say, is this, if she has aspergers why doesnt she discuss her individual eccentricities and habits that define ASD.

  • So true.

  • Asphergers "myth"?, -__- we get along with others easier because we can UNDERSTAND each other easier, and not have too worry about people talking too us just too be entertained.

  • 0:20 epic pwnage

  • This is meant as a constructive criticism: you seem very hostile in this video and I think it would serve you better to be nicer about this. I know you might get frustrated by people being ignorant, but by being rude to them you're not going to make them listen to what you have to say. Personally I found what you had to say very interesting, but your attitude made me want to stop the video at several points.

  • I'm from Scotland and have Aspergers,I had difficulty in the past but now I'm absolutely fine,I can now read non verbal communication and express facial expressions a bit, don't ask me how I can do this now I just picked it up,and can keep a conservation, probably cuz here in Scotland were all friendly and close so I get that bit of socialness from my culture, and I no longer have eye contact troubles

For aspies try watching the tv and pick up non verbal expressions there, and while watching tv l

  • It's much more difficult for me to actually connect with another aspie than a person who functions more normally.

  • I think it's really cool that despite everything you still understand the crucial importance of connection.

  • This video hits the nail right on the head. I too was in a weekly "aspie group", and I couldn't stand it.
