LOL i love goin back and reading the comments on this thread. people bashing each other over education, and where they marched lol. Can't you all just appreciate what each corps does as art and recognize the work everyone from Carolina crown to Blue devils C put in? making fun of a corps. or Flashing your education and making comments about arranging just make you look bad. I have friends in all corps and cant wait for the day where everyone acts like adults and shows some respect.

The bludevils have there own brass series and mouthpiece line by mad by king. It's called system blue and the lead trumpets use a king SBTP1

All they did was make an opinion and you jumped down their throat with a random burst of random irrelevant information, in turn making yourself look like a fool, and tarnishing your favorite corps name while doing so...

@OMGISPLOOIED and P.S. devils may have won 3 of the last 4....but Crown won Fan Favorite in each of those years. that's not an insult...i'm just saying.

i was at finals. i can't prove it, and you can't prove i wasn't, so i don't want to have a meaningless argument. but for those of us who have been marching for a while, it'll always be Spirit of Disney or Fan Favorite....not "fan network favorite"

@Lightrix13 hey man, i don't like "fan network" favorite either. I miss the days of Spirit of Disney. I also miss the days of DCI awards meaning something. now i'm not saying that nobody liked any other corps - just a simple observation on who walked away with the award.

@4PlagalCadence1 Your just a blue devils hater. In 07 the blue devils won by 0.975. In 08 they lost by 0.025. In 09 they won by 1.55. And in 2010 they won by 1.15. They are just a good, and I'm sorry that you lost to them a lot. Also, judges are good and rarely make mistakes. The audience members are not judges. They only like or hate a corps and their opions can't change. STOP HATING!!!

@sharksldw oh, no! someone insulted me on youtube! you're really breaking my heart here! A fifteen-year-old me might be disappointed about losing to the blue devils, but mature me doesn't really care. I never played psuedo-jazzy arrangements scored so thickly that it covers up the poor intonation, so...I'm okay with marching in a different corps even if it means placing lower.

I don't really care about all this "dci politics" stuff. I think the whole never-ever-say-one-less-than-positive-thing-about-another-corps is ridiculous. i have NEVER insulted another corps. I offer my educated musical opinion. I would never want to approach my instrument in the manner of the certain corps that we refer to. You're allowed to think all Crown members are douchebags, even though that's completely irrational.

@OMGISPLOOIED (a) I wasn't with Crown this year (b) Crown doesn't go to I&E (c) every member of every corps is allowed to have an educated musical opinion. my educated musical opinion does not make Crown or any corps look bad.

If it was tasteless trumpet playing, then why did a really good judge score them a 95, the highest over 19 other corps.

The other thing is that a 15 year old may care if he lost to the blue devils, but i think that if somebody came in second or third to them, they would care more.

@4PlagalCadence1 I'm not saying in any of this that the Cavies, Crown, or Cadets are bad and Devils are way better than them. I'm saying that the Devils are good. All the other corps are good too. Devils have won 14, Cadets won 9, Cavaliers won 7, (Cadets and Cavies share the record of 99.15)and Crown has won div. II and they are now at the top of world class. I like all 4 corps. I don't want you to think that I only love the devils.

@sharksldw I auditioned for Crossmen in 07, marched 07 and 09, auditioned for Crown the year after and marched there in 2010. I was planning on marching this year (my ageout) but I broke my hip and couldn't.

I thought lead players in DCI weren't allowed to use shallow mouthpieces? At least in Spirit, they play deeper mouthpieces than the seconds and thirds...
