"Murphy" is a nickname that some cast members and guests give the dragon. Its after "murphy's law". Since this dragon had technical problems which delayed its debut.

The old dragon was nicknamed Bucky.

@fivebearrugs People who dont know, should know for 2 reasons one, a girl doesnt trun into a guy and the dragon has the same laugh. So thats a give away. 2nd, if they dont know, they should go watch "Sleeping Beauty" Not all dragons are guys but I can understand why people would think its a guy. Maleficents dragon form is fucking badass.

@sonic619760 Yes, that is true, and here's something you may not know, lol; the DL Cast Members have given both dragons male nicknames; the first Fantasmic dragon was nicknamed Bucky because it supposedly looked like it had buck teeth, and the new dragon's nickname is Murphy, as in Murphy's Law, since the new dragon had many problems last year :) Nevertheless, the new dragon rocks! :)

@fivebearrugs Huh, that makes sense. Yeah the new dragon is awesome! :D Im just hope that when I got to Disneyland this summer, the dragon will be up and running. I would hate to see a no show, epecially since I have two other people who are going who never seen the show before.

To be honest, some of the workers and cast members didn't know the dragon would show up that night so they were just as surprised. Especially the ones working crowd control.

I'm guessing that the fire will come in another few days....once they work all the bugs outta the system. I've got it from good sources that this isn't all she's gonaa do. she's going to become a lot more flexible in days to come.

No. Like it will move it's head around a'lot more. In the early stop motion animations of the model, the dragon leans it's head forward towards the river and it shoots a stream of fire from it's mouth right into the river.

Hopefully. It probably wasn't as mobile as seen in the model because they didn't want to risk anymore problems. After all, it finally breathed fire for the first time last night.

It probably will lean further into the water eventually once it's running perfectly. Or who knows? Maybe that's as far as it can go.
