@jimjimijanisbriannme the problem isn't necessarily that its not taxable. the problem is we can all grow it in our living rooms and THAT they can't tax. Some believe it would fail in open market because everyone would just grow..and many would for sure.

You can't patent a plant either, so ownership of it is impossible. That's why pharmaceutical companies don't like it. They need to add chemicals and such make things like sativex so they can patent it and sell it at huge profit margins.
