in my experiance , no one farms this for the sword, its all about that shiny yellow stuff in your bags there. Also im wondering if the hilt will still drop even after youve completed the quest? and another thing, whats the avereage ilvl on the gear, my hunter has around 5k gs but i dont know if its possible to solo the elites or not. any help would be apreciated.

@Edgetaken those skeletons he was killing weren't elite which is why he would feign death. Pallies, dk's and druids can solo the elites casters though.

Blizzard hotfixed skeletal slaves and they actually dont drop battered hilt

Battered hilt dropped when i was doing my daily hc for the frosts and i rolled 99 and a druid rolled 100...

@1337one1 it doesen't work anymore they patched it so that only elites drop battered hit to stop people from farming it, it now has something like a 0.037% drop rate from only elites

i saw a warrior farming hilt and he says the skeleton ppl from hpos do not drop the hilt anymore and had a forum thing up saying it doesnt and it was posted on december 11

and this video was posted 5 days after?

Battered hilt doesnt drop anymore from the skeletons, I saw a blue post a while back in december I think it was that the battered hilt and other BoP epic's that drop in the instance no longer drop from Skeletons but they increased the Drop rate of Battered hilt on the elite trash/bosses. But thats what I read from blue so I guess it's true.

It took me a day or two, but i did it whenever i had nothing to do, if your lucky you get it quick . remember the drop rate is VERY low so don't beat yourself up.

armory is a tool made by blizzard to provide players with their information they made theirselves.

wowhead is a tool made by players that counts the number of drops by people that upload their data to their page..

well i got the fucking battered hilt, but i was on the pit of saron part and i decided i wanted to fucking sell it, so i dropped it and it didnt give me the fucking hilt back!!!!!!!! i wrote a fucking ticket to fucking blizzard now i have to wait a million fucking hours for a response FUCK

Of course you wouldn't get the hilt back it gives you a different version of the hilt like every turn in.

Okay the item itself that gives you the quest was removed from the NON elites. All the other elite mobs in heroic mode will drop it, the quest has never been removed only the item from certain mobs.

You need to win in a roll from one of the new heroics, or if your class is capable farm the elite mobs on heroic. I repeat it needs to be heroic for it to drop.

I believe i put an annotation at the beginning of the video saying it was patched, few have claimed it wasn't but I'm pretty sure it's only the elite mobs that drop it now.

You don't need a group to enter a 5 man ndungeon, just change the difficulty.

@langgam2000, haha same for me I altough still famr here on the skeletons for the gold /silver they dropp they dropp pretty good amount I saw it dropp once also, i got outrolled by a rogue with 1 more in roll i had 99 he had 10 so i was like OMZFG WHTSGDUHSUDHS AHH!;P
