  • Three pitchers come to mind when talking about left handers, Steve Carlton, Randy Johnson, and Sandy Koufax.

  • Check out his strikeout montage. Really good!

  • The game could use a Carlton now...

  • One of the greatist pitchers of all time !!!! enough said!

  • I always respected Carlton for not talking to the media. He really stuck to his guns after they kept pissing him off while he was playing.

  • Best slider of all time!!! Maybe the best lefty pitcher ever!

  • About a year ago, I met Steve at a sports memorabilia show. He autographed a baseball for me. He was one of the friendliest men I've ever met, and it was a real honor to shake his hand. An interesting sidenote; he was a left handed pitcher (his nickname was Lefty), but he signed his name with his RIGHT hand. Unusual. He's a real gentleman, though.

  • @ftsjr it's crazy the reputation he gets as a snob just because he wouldnt speak to the media. lol the media are the snobs

  • They don't make pitchers like Steve Carlton anymore!!!!!!!!!

  • Carlton at his best was damn near unhittable. His 1972 season is virtually beyond belief.

  • Steve Carlton wasn't a pitcher...he was a supreme artist.

  • #32 My favorite player of all time! I spent most of my allowance growing up to get every baseball card he's ever been on

  • @pnice000 After 30 yrs, I still have *many* of his cards ( as well as Schmidt ) including both of their rookie cards :-)
