Hickstead and Eric Lamaze were an incredible team soo inspirational, this video is just beautiful, he truly died doing what he loved best, hes a great champion that wont be forgotten, he loved to jump he clearly showed it, every time they went into an arena you could tell they were one it was truly incredible, RIP Hickstead a great champion indeed and one heck of a jumper

Such a lovely tribute to a wonderful horse, it's nice to be reminded of everything that made him great: courage, athleticism, spirit. Hickstead was a true athlete, it seems like only yesterday when I heard the sad news, it still brings a tear to my eye and I'm sure many others will share my reaction.

He will always be remembered, and thanks to tributes like this we will always beautiful images to associate with his memory.

i was so lucky to be able to watch him go at world equestrian games.. after every round eric would cheer, but then point at hickstead, and wanted people to clap for hickstead, not him. i have never seen anything so touching. the show jumping world has lost one of its greatest, R.I.P HICKSTEAD

Some of us are lucky enough, as riders, to get the chance to work with some of the most amazing horses one could imagine. Those horses who make us eel like legends, invincible to everything but the sky. Hickstead was one of those horses, and you could tell ever time he and Lamaze entered the arena.

This is my favorite horse of all time and I even went to WEG to watch him compete. I love this horse. Event though he is on the canadian team I root him on. My friend came up to me in the hallway at the the lockers and told me what happend. And I was like you are lying to me and she said no. I began to tear up. This video made me cry. Great editing. RIP Hickstead you will be terribly missed. You are a thrill and a wonder to all the world. Goodbye.

Hickstead was an amazing horse. I couldn’t believe that he passed when I had heard about it a few days after it happened. His passing was a shock and an incredibly huge loss for Canada and the equestrian world.
