I know you didn't leave the wiggles because you hate childrens music, but i wanted to know you story on how you got started in all this.I have a real interest in music and would really love to get in the business so any advice bad or \good would mean alot coming from you..
@Zayden099 Hi : Thanks for passing by. Are you asking how I came to be involved with the Wiggles in the first place, or in music and composition generally? I'm not sure what you mean when you say you want to "get in the business", if you mean as a composer, or performer, or more as an industry type. True, I do not hate children's music, I can't imagine any real musicians not being interested in children's music. Anyway, I'm happy to answer what questions you have as best I can. Blessings!
@Zayden099 Sorry for not being more specific,Yes how you came about being with the wiggles was my question. As for the business it was towards being a performer, i would love to do something like the wiggles do i love children i have two if my own.My friends told me to get a job in Disney land that it would be a great place to get started.to get the feel of working with children.
@Zayden099 I became involved with the Wiggles solely at the request of Anthony Field. It's that simple, really. I wish I could help you with your quest to become a children's performer but all I could suggest is that you begin and way leads on to way. Disneyland might well be a start. Maybe just put some ideas together and approach people in the industry. Blessings and best of luck!
This music and your story about your mother moves me Phillip.
I have similar experiences, life touches us in many ways. It's inescapable, the longer you live, the more people you know, the greater the number of life experiences. It doesn't make these experiences any easier to cope with. But, somehow we do !
@GrahamTVdotNet Thank you Graham. I appreciate your listening and commenting. I think everything we go through in life - be it good or bad - is a variation on the theme of Love, one way or the other - and as you say, the more we come to experience the more we come to "know". Our frailties are as much our strengths.
@Mrl50 Dear Luisa: I have come to believe since my mother's passing that there is no death, there is no ceasing to be. Blessings to you and your dear mother. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings to you both!
"Who if I cried would hear my voice by half the hierarchy of angels"Rainer Mara Rilke first elegy at Duino---Only music can be a bridge between people cultures and worlds of the livings and those who are not,but remain in memory.Thank you.
Motherhood itself, its mortality,& its indelible imprint on a son as devoted as you have been to your beloved mother, are universal human emotions one can identify with even across vast oceans and seas.I can feel the pathos, longing, tenderness, devotion and love you carry in your heart for your MOTHER.The FLUTE was a judicious choice for this tribute,& i know every MOTHER who hears this piece will also feel they are embraced by its beauty.Sincerest best wishes from the Philippines,Maestro Wilcher!
@rpcjt Dear Ingrid : Thank you for taking the time to listen to my piece and to comment so thoughtfully. It is very true what you have written about such an identifiable emotion. It has no boundaries. Blessings ever and thank you once again!
Dear Phillip, you honour your Mum every day by being the person you are. This piece never fails to move me because I know what you went through in composing it..it is heartachingly beautiful.
@johnradicchi Thank ever John. I promised mum I would see to it that she would never be forgotten and it is a promise I intend to keep. I miss her every second of every minute of every day of every hour of every month of every year and so it will always be.....
phillip you are amazing i dont think you realise your truth wealth. I hope God sends me a son like you such an amazing person you are. YOu brought tears to my eyes.
Only a son who truly loved and adored his mother, as I know you did, could have written something this exquisite in her honour. It brought tears to my eyes and an ache into my heart.
I trust God will continue to bless you in all you do.
How precious the video is, I just read that is to honour your beloved Mother.
I am touched, and sorry for your loss of your beloved Mum...I feel the loss too, I too lost my mum at young age. Your mum very beautiful on the photo...R.I.P dear lady, you are dearly missed by your son who plays the beautiful music just for you.
@heartbreakersong Thank you Heidi. I hope people can find some comfort and solace here if they need it as I found a certain comfort and solace in writing this piece. Blessings....
There are no such words which would be equivalent to describe the feelings your creation evokes, liberating senses from the “imprisonment” as if they were birds. Thank you so much….I am delighted..
As for the picture of your dear mother, What a beautiful face, glowing with the soft settle smile….
Quote,“She was a courageous woman who taught me that only the gentle are ever strong.”
What a loving son you are!!! A big hug from my heart.
@LoraIaurora Dear Lora : Thank you so much for such a kind and thoughtful comment. I really appreciate it. I am genuinely touched by your words. Blessings to you!
I come back to this beautiful piece often. i think its purity comes near to touching the divine. I also love the dedication on this page - thanks Phillip. And thank you to a beautiful lady - she gave us Phillip. xM
I have listened to several pieces on your site today but this one stopped me short, firstly by its dedication and then the music itself. It is deeply touching without being morbid, lyrical without being laced with saccharin and sounding familiar like ones own mother, yet unique as each of our mothers. You have a rare gift, I am sure your gentle, brave mother was very proud.
Very good passages in this one, and soothing. I'm gonna let the music speak for itself and let the emotion and story of the performance and composition unfold. Your mother would love this piece. She has and will rest in peace and watch over you, still giving you courage, strength, happiness and such along with everyone that is with her. Even with complications, you and your mother were truly blessed.
As usual, Keep pursuing, and thank you for the wonderful music and video! ^_^
@TheKeenanBoy Thank you Keenan. I'm touched you like it. You are a fine and sensitive musician so it means a lot to me that you have heard this. Blessings!
Davvero toccante Phillip , una melodia emozionante che esprime appieno la sofferenza che avete vissuto. Veder soffrire una persona cara e non poter far niente per lei è atroce , lo so. E da un dolore così grande è nata una musica bellissima! Grazie
Very touching thank you very much. Great tribute to your mother. I have lost my mother because of Leukaemia. She has never complained her pain. When I am in the hard moment, I always think of her and this gets through. RIP to your mother and mine. Many thanks for sharing.
@fairlytaleofnewyork Bless you! Our loved ones are always with us while we keep them in our hearts and minds. I'm so sory to hear of your loss too. Thank you for the sharing Satoko.
@Toracube I sometimes feel this music happened to me. My mother and I were the same person, really. I have the same child's heart she had. Your own tribute to your mother I found beautiful also. Blessings Andy!

@ASAngelo I don't know how I did it and I doubt I will ever do it again, although in some way, ever since, I have tried to recapture the moment, even to reach further beyond it.....
@SinSeared No offense taken. This piece was written as a tribute to my mother and represents her soul moving towards the countenance of God. Blessings....
This is a beautiful piece of music and a wonderful tribute to your mother. It does my soul good to know that there are composers who care about actually touching people's emotions.
@KaneDogg94 In what way does it help? Do you mean a continuous unfolding melody? melody in music for me is like dialogue - it's the words, perhaps, and then the harmonies happening around it become its mood, motive, inflection etc.....the same utterance can be said many ways depending on how you stress it.
@KaneDogg94 That's interesting. You'll find melodies in words too - the Italian opera composer Rossini said he could set a laundry list to music - this is because words when spoken have their own inflection and rhythm - if you emphasize the inflection you'll find a melody there....
@KaneDogg94 I'll have to listen at the internet cafe over the next couple fo days. No headphones here at the library. I'll check it out and come back to you :)
First class Phillip I lost my own mother last year too. I lve many miles from home so I didn't see much of her in later years, I live overseas, funny that now she has gone she is more with me than ever before, I think of her constantly, whereas before I knew exactly where she was and what she was doing, now I can only imagine, and visualize her presence, and surroundings,I feel closer now than ever before, I am not morbid about it, but I do spend a great deal of time now in her company.
@beachfrontal Dear David : I feel the same way. I think we are enveloped by the spirits of those we love and guided by them is subtle ways. Keep well.
@alainhammond I'm glad you have written a song for your father. I listened to it. Music is such a beautiful way to remember our loved ones - a living way, since music requires life to exist.....
Dear Phillip, I have just found this beautiful tribute to your Mother. I love Into His Countenance - it travels beyond this life indeed, like angels' wings bearing a beloved one towards the eternal ..I must say too that the lovely photo of your Mother shows a beautiful person of serenity and wisdom and great warmth and love. She appears to be listening to her music, I think . It's lovely, Phillip. xM
@margyoseven Thank you Margaret. It's a beautiful photo of her, yes. Friends who never knew her as a young woman and only knew her in later life have shed a tear looking at it. I love it!
How have you been? I hope the small earthquake in Adelaide wasn't too unsettling for you....??
@ASAngelo I think she would have adored you! Her heart was all fantasy and refinement. Even though her body turned against her, she kept in conversation with the world around her. You should have seen her with the doves. She came so close to actually picking one up once....
Touching story Philip.... My father has recently been operated because he had cancer in his kidney. He is now very well ;) Very nice picture of your mother! Your mother will be proud of you that you do this for her :) ❤
May God bless You, dear Phillip... for all your righteous words, for your most gentle and loving memory... for such a tender depiction... I could almost see her... I could understand what you felt before the fact a tender kiss on the forehead would hurt her... My best friend died in same pain... not being able to stand the softest touch...
Very lovely Theme. And the thoughts about your mother make the music complete as a poem.

PhillipLWilcher 1 year ago
@PhillipLWilcher the way it brings the words up for me :)
heres a line
" ever since the start i couldnt help but keep the pain i kept on stressin its such a dirty game, oo can u feel meh ...ect"
helps me with coming up with good meaning.

@KaneDogg94 That's interesting. You'll find melodies in words too - the Italian opera composer Rossini said he could set a laundry list to music - this is because words when spoken have their own inflection and rhythm - if you emphasize the inflection you'll find a melody there....

Love and blessings ever,
Phillip

@PhillipLWilcher I slept through the quake, Phillip! (It must take more than an earthquake to jolt me into action!

She must have been magical. As you are.

Thank you...
