@ThePhantomOfTwilight In this video I think I was using a GotToBe heat protectant (the straightening one). But currently I'm using Ion Flat Iron Protectant (which you can get at Sally's Beauty). That is a really great one that is only like 7 dollars! Or sometimes I use Chi 44 Iron Guard. Hope that helps!
If you want a professional flat iron and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, dual voltage, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. Also has a 3 year warranty. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair.
I hate how you kept clicking the straightner!!! Lol but it was still a good review, thank you! I think I'm definitly going to go with the GHD instead of the CHI. :)
@the101dramaqueen I freaked out when I got mine because mine did not have a hologram on the cord. I called GHD and asked if Folica was an official retailer and they confirmed it was. She said not all ghd's have a hologram ( it depends on the batch number) but they have a serial number which can be registered. But to answer your question I have yet to do that! But if there is any doubt that your's is not authentic folica will give you a full refund. :)
I really like how you did this review, the results comparison. I'm thinking about getting a new straightener and the GHD is starting to become my number one choice. Now I just have to save up! lol :) I subbed(:
Hey great vid I been thinkin about getting the GHD! But my question is how hot does it get? Some heat up to like 400F and CHI does like 356F. Do you know what this one heats up 2? No one else's review mentions that. Also, can you control the temp? Or is it only set on one temp?
thank you :) The ghd gets to about 450 degrees which might be too hot for some people. And nope there is no temperature control :( That's something ghd needs to work on
my main question with this is does it really straighten better and keep it straighter for longer time??
with my hair, i straighten it and then like ten minutes later its puffy and frizzy and i have to go over it many times as well as super blow dry it to get it straight and it still gets frizzy later on
i want something that wil keep my hair straight throughout the day and not totally frizzy and poofy by the time i get to school :p
With my hair, which in my opinion is difficult to straighten because my hair is so stubborn, my hair stays pretty straight all day. It's not quite as straight as when I just straighten it, but I really like the results it gives :) As far as straightening it better than other straighteners, I think it does!
yayy im definately decided on saving up for this now :] for once ide like my hair to stay how it looks when i straighten it and i hope this baby will do it ;]] thanks so much for responding, i really apreciate it!
it really is amazing! my hair stays soft shiny and not frizzy and stays straight! it even got wet in the rain and althought it did get some waves back into it, it wasnt frizzy! and it actually looks nice even tho it got wet :] yayy im in love <3 thank you!
yeah not this one..i have really curly hair and frizzy hair but with the ghd ..its totally different..stays my hair pin straight..and flat..no flyaways or friziness!
I believe the chi gets between 350- and 400 degrees and the ghd is about 450 degrees. I've burned my finger once ( not bad) but that was totally my fault lol.
lol It's curly and wavy, I know my hair. In my opinion straight hair looks best on me. I was not saying straight hair is more beautiful than curly hair, I def don't think that . It was my personal opinion about my preference for MYSELF.
I see =) I'm sorry, I didnt mean to say that your hair is not curly or something... what I meant to say is it didnt look curly in the video, ofcourse you know your own hair!
I really like the curls you made with the straightener though, with your hair in a ponytail like that ^^
Quit clamping it together so much xD otherwise nice video

What r the heat settings??
JamieJJ63 8 months ago
@JamieJJ63 there aren't any heat settings
kaylajolene90 8 months ago
@JamieJJ63 There's a microchip inside of it which senses the PH level of your hair and heats accordingly. It's awesome!

Hair doesn't have to be straight to look pretty. It does look good curly and wavy. Just pointing that out. Good review, thanks.

@ItsBrookeTv It's 10sec ONLY after the second use. If u use it for the first time in the morning it takes ~2 min warm up.

I do not know the highest temp but you cannot control the temp manually. It adjusts to your hair type and texture.

Your hair is not really curly, just a little wavy I think..
I dont agree with you saying 'I was not blessed with straight hair', because I have curls and I'm very happy with it ^^
But I just have to say your skin looks flawless!
And I really like how you did your hair in the end =)
