  • Thamks for replying. So, once I've made up all of the different patterns, how do you arrange them into memory? I'm surte I'll get it one day. its just a little confusing. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated! Thanks mates!

  • @drvnrain - Do you have the manual? If not, it's available as a PDF download from Alesis's website. It's been a long time since I've used it other than via MIDI from a computer, so would probably have to re-look at the manual myself.

  • I love the tonal quality, but haven't figured out how to write a complete song and have it saved in the machine. In other words, I want to be able to program an entire song, and record it onto my recorder so I can add the rest of the instruments! Help!! (and thanks)

  • @drvnrain - Like most drum machines, you program individual patterns and then arrange sets of patterns into songs. The only way to do whole songs w/o breaking it down into sets of patterns would be to just use an external MIDI sequencer.

  • Can you adjust the gate time on this? You know... make the snares and bass drums crisp and short?

  • @electronicexposure - There's no built-in effects...just samples, so you're limited to what effects the 'non-dry' variation samples have. You can only really adjust some tuning and stereo panning/output (there are a pair of stereo outputs in case you want to run some sounds through other external processing while leaving others direct from the drum machine).

  • ... nvm

  • Can you customize it over many measures or is it one loop forever?

  • @kristofor12345 - Like most drum machines, you program individual patterns and can then string patterns together into song sequences. They have all the documentation in PDF format online at Alesis's webstie.

  • @DefecationSociety - No batteries...AC adapter.

  • heres the question to ask...are there any DRY snare sounds?? I know this emulates the snare sounds of the 80s power ballad..but im sure i can find a dry snare or 2 on there? can i??

  • @codern hah yeah you can customize the sounds for each pad

  • are there decent "pop" style drums on it to make my own beats? like techno bass drums and claps and that kinda shiz?

  • is there an 808? or bass drop?

  • @NickIsAPlagueOfGod

I wanna know that too. Seriously.

  • @NickIsAPlagueOfGod - I can't find a definitive list of source sounds, but according to others, there's at least an 808 bass drum and snare sound (or VERY close approximations thereof).

  • @xnonsuchx ah mmk man
