William F. Buckley built a US TV career on catering to an audience so wowed by his pompous vacuous verbosity (which, they mistook for profundity) that they failed to notice how wrong this pseudo-intellectual devout catholic was on segregation -which he supported; the Vietnam war - which he cheer led; creationism -which he believed; the Theory of Evolution - which he rejected; being “the man Christ-God died for” -which never happened.

Really a wonderful voice of reason and humor. I am a liberal dem that grew up watching and reading his dad, and respecting him greatly.

And now the son has almost as much intellect, but adds a healthy dose of self depreciating humor. We need a lot more writers and commentators like this guy.

I read his father's private mail exchanges with Commander George Lincoln Rockwell in the biography "American Führer: George Lincoln Rockwell and the American Nazi Party," which was an interesting read.
