What would be your opinion? High End Light Systems or the Martain Lights? BTW Do you know if there are any colleges that specialize in this within the state of Louisiana?
not bad.. I knda like it. dont know what the project req's were but I would have LOVED to see some mannequins up there, or a drum kit or something to see how that affects the light layout.. im not seeing a ton of front light on what I assume is your performers space..
I wouldnt argue with your teachers, I'm just wondering if there was enough face light of a performance. otherwise, I love it, nice work.
I had to do this same project not to long ago. we could only use the moving lights. there are 6 lights down stage. 4 on the downstage truss and 2 over FOH which were kinda useless for this application. if we could have used the conventional lights you would have more front light.
You are so lucky. I plan on attending Full Sail for college, but i still have a couple years of schooling... (five years to be exact... XP. lul) I plan on taking show production and touring, audio post-production, and a couple other things. good job btw!
I would have done something like they do at Mannequins in Pleasure Island. lol But that's just me.. I'm crazy like that... Good job though... If you don't know what I'm talking about.... Do a search on here for Mannequins light show, and there should be one on there... It's from the Gay Days at Disney, but it's just the light show I really like in that club...
Hey nice job! I want to do lighting design also! How do you like the full sail enviroment? They seem really expensive but its worth it...check out my videos out..its my christmas display (lights to music)
hey man did you take Show Pro and Touring? cause im thinkin about takin that program and i dont know if it is worth it or not' so id love it if you could help me out...thanks Andre' Petrus

Not sure if there is one in Louisiana.
As far as brand goes, for me it depends on what you're looking for. Both have there advantages and disadvantages.

But what would you rather use for an alternative rock concert. A SHOWGUN 2.0 or any form of mac?
CML1416 2 years ago
You'd probably have 10 MACs for the rental price of a showgun xD

They didn't really have anything like mannequins for us to have. I guess I could have had some people stand up there, haha.
i did get two grade points taken off for the reason of not a lot of front light and for unfocused gobos during the bridge.
Other then that I think its ok for a 15 minutes of programming, haha.

Great work on getting a 98. Just a couple of pointers though -
- Could have done a lot more with front movers
- A little repetitive especially in Chorus
- A little colour messy on stage but otherwise great
Great work and good luck in future
