  • 5. To the previous comments, Metabo is made in Germany, DEWALT is made in Mexico and China (Although, only company still based in USA - MD & CT), Milwaukee is now made in China. They were purchased by TTI (Asain Company) a while back and haven't been made in the US since.

  • 3. In follow up to #2, you are obviously using the box store version of both Metabo and DEWALT as I have used all four and both Milwaukee (old style) and Makita will not hang with the other two. 4. What wheels are you using on each grinder?? A softer wheel means it is going to cut faster through a hardened metal like that.

  • That is a bogus demo.

    1. The videos were all made seperately and the weight doesn't mean anything since he still has two hands on the tool and you can't see his knuckles to see how much weight he is putting on each one. 2. 100% fact that both the relevant Metabo and DEWALT grinders have modules on them that prevent them from burning up...the tool would have shut off prior to smoking.

  • a load o f shit

  • To clarify for ya'll. Metabo is made in Germany (hence the insane prices). Everything DeWalt is made in CHINA (look at the packaging). Makita is engineered in Japan, but primarily made in CHINA. Bosch is engineered in Germany/USA and made in both CHINA and Germany, it depends on the product. Milwaukee is engineered in the USA and made in both the USA and CHINA.

With the exception of the Metabo, the tools seen in the video were made in China. (Metabo-Germany)

  • I understand. Metabo is made in Germany. Isn`t it? DeWalt is made in the USA, Makita made in Japan. Is Milwaukee made in China? Really? By the way, I am missing Bosch in the film, also made in Germany?

  • metabo has had these features for 15 years. The difference is they do what they are supposed to.

  • What a load of crap. I urchased one of these and killed it it 10 mins. My new Metabo hammers it to death.

  • WARNING! Video’s like this can be highly suspicious. Were all the grinders cold new out of the box? We’re the grinders like for like? What are the full names of the machines? The video does not show this.

Would you ever see Top Gear run a serious test on a BMW Z4 vs. a Mazda MX5? Sure they are both very nice sports cars, but they are no way in the same class bracket.

  • I am really surprised to see that a DeWalt is even worse than a Makita. It burns after 14 seconds only. Did the Metabo burn also?

  • whgo would know. this is not true this video, it is a chinese grinder for christ sake!

  • Go Milwaukee! Great product as usual !

  • Very nice test. What are the specific models for each brand? Also are these the 4.5" units or 5"?
