i love this - especially coming from a new generation... very much influenced by floyd of course, but the twists are quite unique. And for us middle aged angry generation it's full of nostalgic overtones. It sent me back to the time before I was born :)

My friend Christopher Rouse got the commission for the piece they played at the Washington Cathedral after the Challenger Disaster. When the next one went down, I wondered if they would just play the same tune again. I thought that was a bit "retro" too. It sounded like Ralph Vaughan Williams. I like retro if that's what the Purple Tree sound is. I think their "psychedelic" category works o.k. for me.
