Hi Reginald, I think the main problem of the US people is that they don't have any savings compared to the rest of the world. Some wackos in the media even blame the savers as cause for the crisis. Real wealth comes from savings and not from reckless spending.
The only way for the US gov is to inflate the dollar. But still the US economy does not have much real products to sell abroad. This means it will take a long time to recover, more then other countries will have. Bad times ahead.

Get the shotgun up and bring it to your sight. You will be a lot faster aiming your shots and increase your accuracy. Thats the correct way to do it.

I live in Germany and am feeling the pain (self-employed designer and photographer) of job declines from private and business. It is Hard Times. In the City many stores have closed, yet many new ones are coming in. On a fine weathered Saturday (all is closed on Sundays) the center bustles and the cafes and restaurants are filled! How do I see this crisis playing out? Well, the recession will not end any time soon. I am thinking that by the summer June/July the dollar will plummet and things will sink lower than they are now. Inflation will hit and food prices will go through the roof. The good part of it-it will be warmer weather so people won't have to worry about losing heat and if they have to bug out, hypothermia won't be an issue. Acquire a stockpile of food and firearms now, don't wait till SHTF.
I think the UK will be even worse in the long run because of their lack of natural resources.
I a sorry to correct you,UK has the largest reserves of OIL(25bn) Gas(70% self sufficient in winter.100% in summer) in the EU.

I listened to two guys last night talking about how we've finally hit bottom and the economy is rebounding. When I mentioned that the retail real estate collapse hasn't hit yet, they looked at me like I was nuts. The US is will probably be in a depression for 7 to 15 years. The consumer economy has to die first, then a sustainable economy based on manufacturing and exports can begin. The government is making matters worst by spending all of this money, we will never be able to repay this debt. I think Europe will be in depression as well, but shorter- about 5 years. I think China and Japan will be in a deep recession for about 5 years then come back strong. I am trying to become self sufficient

Reginald, I think the federal government will spend 10 trillion more on top of the 11 to 12 trillion they have already spent. There will be another "economy stimulation bill " in the near future. I think the TARP, the 800+ billion stimulus bill, and the 3.5 trillion budget bill for this year is just the start. These bills will prevent the economy from spiralling down fast, I think we will see a slow collapse thanks to all the money that is being spent.
I agree, they have to import so many goods. Think of the recent mayhem at the G20 summit, it was total chaos. Imagine what will ensue when things really go sour.

Hi Reginald, I think the main problem of the US people is that they don't have any savings compared to the rest of the world. Some wackos in the media even blame the savers as cause for the crisis. Real wealth comes from savings and not from reckless spending.
The only way for the US gov is to inflate the dollar. But still the US economy does not have much real products to sell abroad. This means it will take a long time to recover, more then other countries will have. Bad times ahead.

They are starting to go into an inflationary spiral similar to Iceland a few months before.
To help out, Ireland is proposing a massive increase in taxes on the middle class and massive decreases in government spending. This is an emergency session in their government.

In order to stabilize the world markets, a New World currency will be introduced. At first it will be used as only a reserve currency w/ the promise of low inflation. Yes yes, and in the 80's we had 1 in 10 unemployed (remember UB40? "I am a 1 in 10").
But, if they stop the council tax, water tax, road tax etc, we will have NO problems being unemployed.
If they try squeezing these taxes out of us, they will have mor etrouble than they did inthe 80's, and bankers, judges and lawyers may become valued by their weight (like other meat).
You see, the judges back up the banks deands for money, so they arelike, the final straw that breaks the camels anger !

In the UK, by the way, apart from the peopel affected by unemployment, nothing seems to be changing, other than in peoples minds.
People ARe talking everywhere, but there is no big hole in the ground, to point your finger at.
I live on the borders of rich town, and poor town, and the poor are getting angry, whilst the better off are quietly pretending they care, whilst in reality, they will do anything to keep things unequal.

Reginald, I have no idea how this recession/depression is going to play out. I just *know* that life as we knew it, ended somewhere along the way. I don't see the US (and possibly other countries) ever going back to the level of prosperity enjoyed mid 20th century. But what is going to happen and how. . .
I don't know. And I find that rather nerve wrecking. It's the great unknown we're facing.
How much is the government going to spend? A number I can't fathom.

You are right, but the old country you speak of was founded and funded by inequlity, ot the level of slavery around the world. Awareness of this inequality, has led the world to anger, and this neccessitates change.
The change will either be real, or make believe (with the rich simply hiding from your view).

If i were American,or in the Euro,the one thing is would really worry about is the Russians Middle-east,China,having a single currency region.
As i stated earlier,the £=1.50$,1.1Euro,the reason because it is backed by 25 bn oil reserves proven,perhaps 40bn total.
Can you imagine if China(manufacturing),Middle-East(oil)Russia(oil) come up with a single currency,the West, USA,Eurozone countries,in particular would be in serious shit.

Consumption fell off a cliff last year before Christmas - Europe Japan & the US are seeing dire contractions in output... this can't be normal cyclicality ... I think our economies have reached a point where they aren't truly profitable any more - it's just gambling, so investment money is moving East.
Capital is a force of nature that will flow where it can grow and that's not the US anymore. It will get tighter for you over there and it won't go back to before.

What they are saying is that they want complete freedom, to trade as they see fit. That means YOUR labour, the prices you have to pay, and YOU get NO say, and they profit more.
Remember it is only the BANKERS and POLITICIANS who shout about free trade being so good.
So when a politician applauds himself for achieving more free trade, he is saying (to his banker friends) that he has taken MORE of your rights away, and given THEM freedom OVER YOU, not FOR you.

They will spend as much is needed to put us in crisis. I believe they are intentionally destroying our country and currency so they can offer solutions we would never agree to in a million years. The recovery when it happens will look nothing like what you think today, they are not trying to go back to the way it was. They are trying to define a new future. Does anyone agree with this? Obviously the recovery could have been architected much better if recovery is what they wanted.

Actually the G20 summit event,went off well from a violence point of view,it amazes me the power of the media.
Did you know all those rioters,if thats what you can call them,5 windows smashed in 2 days,were in a 400 yrd box.
You may not have been to London,it is massive.99.9% of londerners wouldn't see or hear anything,the 'rioters' were in such a small area.
Compared to the NATO summit 2 days later it was a tea party.

We will spend trillions on global warming before we realize it was a tool to coordinate efforts on a global scale. It promotes the idea that any cause big enough to rally the world around would have unlimited power.
Don't let them manipulate us with fake or manmade crisis just to introduce solutions that we would never otherwise accept.

I believe Technology will solve many energy related problems. Natural gas and more efficient electronic technology (huge subject) otherwise let’s take care of our family, our pets, our neighborhoods, our communities, our states and our country. @TheWhiteOp In closing the biggest lesson I have learned is that the government has done a great job getting the R vs D fighting to an all time high. Its a joke. if a D and R talked for 5 minutes they find out they agree on more than they disagree. the Gov is steeling our freedom (Debt slave) while we bicker over stupid R vs D political points. Tell me, Are you a free person? the answer is no. this is the issue we need to focus on.

How do I see this crisis playing out? Well, the recession will not end any time soon. I am thinking that by the summer June/July the dollar will plummet and things will sink lower than they are now. Inflation will hit and food prices will go through the roof. The good part of it-it will be warmer weather so people won't have to worry about losing heat and if they have to bug out, hypothermia won't be an issue. Acquire a stockpile of food and firearms now, don't wait till SHTF.

I a sorry to correct you,UK has the largest reserves of OIL(25bn) Gas(70% self sufficient in winter.100% in summer) in the EU.
I will try and be as honest and non sensationlist as i can,UK at this moment has been told all the doom & gloom is coming but with 48K people losing their homes so far,6.2% unemployment,i will be totally honest,it really is no more than a recession,FINGERS CROSSED!

What you have to understand about the UK,we have not had a recession since 1992 before 2008-09.
To be honest though 1.5%,in the current climate is actually probably second or 3rd best in the G7.

I think they will spend 100 trillion or more. Then Hyperinflation will kick in & they will spend the equivalent in whatever new currency till the USA is no longer a country but a part of some Global Government that rules us all . The former USA will be reduced to extreme poverty & people will die by the millions.
I'll be lucky if I live long enough to tell my grandkids stories about the "old days".

I listened to two guys last night talking about how we've finally hit bottom and the economy is rebounding. When I mentioned that the retail real estate collapse hasn't hit yet, they looked at me like I was nuts. Apparently, optimistic construction companies are applying for new building permits left and right (never mind the enormous amounts of empty homes and thousands of for-sale signs around town). Some people are going to be shocked when reality sets in. Good video, Reg. Keep 'em coming.

The US is will probably be in a depression for 7 to 15 years. The consumer economy has to die first, then a sustainable economy based on manufacturing and exports can begin. The government is making matters worst by spending all of this money, we will never be able to repay this debt. I think Europe will be in depression as well, but shorter- about 5 years. I think China and Japan will be in a deep recession for about 5 years then come back strong. I am trying to become self sufficient

Reginald, I think the federal government will spend 10 trillion more on top of the 11 to 12 trillion they have already spent. There will be another "economy stimulation bill " in the near future. I think the TARP, the 800+ billion stimulus bill, and the 3.5 trillion budget bill for this year is just the start. These bills will prevent the economy from spiralling down fast, I think we will see a slow collapse thanks to all the money that is being spent.
