Can I ask a question? I'm a music teacher and my choir is singing this for our spring concert but I'm wondering. On the last word, is the "S" silent or do you pronounce the "S"? Because on the pronounciation guide they said to pronounce the S. Can anyone clarify?
In South Afrika we have 5 main languages and a lot of idioms. In every greater city we have mixes as a "lingua franca" kind of idiom. You can have isiZulu as main with spreads of Sotho and Xhosa. In the north it is Ndebele, very similar to the Zulu and you will have urban styles with a horrible mixture of all.
googleing around I found out The Kuziems came from Central Afrika, (Uganda and/or Kongo), then lived in Brazil and now in Switzerland. They not origin in ZA and so they make mistakes in the language
AWESOME THIS SONG, THEN WATCH THE VERSION MADE BY OUR CHOIR ENTERING MY CHANNEL:)

I heard "Siabonga baba" 23 years ago from an American missionary in school (I am from Macedonia).
I remembered the words and ever since I sang it in my most happy and most sad moments.
I am glad to find it on youtube!

Normally the "s" will be pronounced.
