We tried a tug of war at work with a propane forklift, and a 3/4 ton truck with similar results. Pretty unfair weight ratio though. Forklifts weigh a lot.
as they said below well close jut saying a 5000 lbs verse 500- lbs and its a junky auto so yeah duh next time try it this thoese late 80 earler 90s toyota trucks and see what happens probably same thing
I drive CAT forklifts at work (HOME DEPOT) the "little" one weighs 12,500 dry. the "big" one weighs 17,500. not 100% sure of the lifting capacities but its a lot. what is the weight on yours? just curious.
haha now theres a tug of war u dont see every day! haha i dont often do this but, id like to request a vid of the cat fork lift...if posible thanks again 5/5*
I have a few videos of this forklift up on my channel. If you want to watch them go to my channel and do a search for "Forklift" in the video search box.
Yep naturally the CAT wins cause in this case its about weight, not 4-wheel drive. The CAT weighs I think 8,000 pounds where the quad weighs no more then what fokes 400 pounds? The CAT PWNED the QUAD Ahhhh hahahahahahahahaha
actually that cat forklift weights about 1100lbs or less.... 8,000lbs would be 4 TONS i would know since i work on these things and use em...if u want 8,000lbs try a little school bus...lol but there is cat forklifts that do weigh 8,000+lbs just not this one. the ones at the junkyard that lift cars weigh about 3/2 tons
Well, maybe I'm wrong, but I did look at the machine specifications, and it said that this machine weighed something like 8,300 lbs or more without any load. The GVRW was something like 13,500 lbs.
if it says that i believe you on that...they just seem so little to weigh that much thats about the weight of a ford excursion...lol all compact. probably counter weights in the bottom. i have operated the very very large ones in scrap yards they weigh alot. anyhow you vids rock keep em coming
Thanks man! Yeah, it's definitely compact, and all solid metal (most of it). The back is especially heavy for, like you said, counterweight. I remember we moved pallets of wheat in our garage, and within a few trips it had broken up the asphalt driveway. Anyway, thanks for the comment!
yeah i thought tht would happen

Nice Video! I'll be subscribing to your channel and looking forward to further updates.
When you get a chance take a look at some of the video's i've uploaded. Some pretty insane motorcycle and ATV videos on there

I'm pretty sure those forklifts carry like 6000+ lbs in the rear just in weights to counter balance anything that is put on the forks

I think it was a given that a propane forklift would beat a much smaller-engined gas ATV. Looks like it was fun, though!
