  • It sounds like hes holding back the vocals. Theres something about his accent/the way he sings on the record version that makes it so good!

  • I do!

  • makes me wanna run :)

  • I LOVVV this song. But, isn't he the guy who recorded JEAN and GOODMORNING STARHINE?

  • @HolyCowNYC

Jean etc. was recorded in 1969, lovely Emil was born in 1979 ;-D

  • Who cares...

  • the album is 'sologne'. i bought it online. there, easy enough.

their better album, in my opinion

  • I've been listening to Loney, Dear for years! Can anyone tell me how to get a hold of a CD? They've been hard to find.

  • anyone have the lyrics?

  • yeah, these guys are really great. I saw them recently open for Andrew Bird in DC. I had never heard of them, but man, they were the first opening band that I was sad to see finish their set. Of course Andrew Bird was incredible too, but rarely have I been so impressed with a band I'd never heard of.

  • I saw them live back in 2006 :D

  • EXCELLENT, & i didn't know the name of this famous group before today! :)

  • could someone post all the lyrics? i can't find em anywhere.

  • Nice with plenty of brass here.

I really hope they make it bigger than they are. They deserve it.

  • Emil du är bäst!

  • these guys are some of the best damn musicians on the whole planet!!! you rule!!!

  • Does anyone know what performance this is from?

  • yepp. it's from swedish tv4, morning show called "nyhetsmorgon". to be exact it's from the february 23rd 2006.

  • thanks! :)

  • excellent song/band/performance!

his singing is a bit out of tune sometimes but who cares!

  • He may look like Samwise Gamgee, but one of the tenor sax player looks like the good guy from Ugly Betty.

  • strange, since there aren't any tenorsaxplayers in the band;-)

There's a baritonplayer and a basclarinett, played by Nils Berg.

  • This dude is great. He's got it and will be considered great one day.

  • the girl is cute:P

  • awesome !

    nothing else to say :)

  • Totally worth the six hour drive to SXSW 07. The Swedes own me.

  • he looks like the guy from law and order!

  • please come to Japan!!!!!

  • That singer looks like someone, I just cant think of who...hmmmmm... its buggin me....

  • he looks like SAM, from "lord of the rings" \o/

  • Loney, dear is fantastic. Does anyone have lyrics of his music? I've sent him an e-mail asking for some lyrics but never got an answer :/

  • The city, things been turning out better since I broke with it

The city, I don't want another situation breaking me

This living, I don't want another life that's haunting me

This living, I don't my elbows making way for me

The city, I don't want another life that's killing me

The city, I don't want another life that's killing me

From now on, I will never kick down, but always up

Anxiety, I will never take orders to be ticked again.

i only got the first part

  • amazing

  • bien..l...........

  • Great Performance.

  • The spice has turned their eyes a striking blue color.

  • i`m in love with the girl on the left.

  • she looks like that girl on Mr Rogers.. I forgot her name

  • me too

  • CSS did a great remix

I heard on a podcast from lesinrocks dot com

  • What are they saying when they start with the yelling. Is it bom bom bom? or are they actually saying something??

    I cant find lyrics

  • They´re singing: "GO BOY GO BOY GO BOY BOY BOY!"

  • i can certainly see why SIMON RAYMONDE has taken the time to write his first MYSPACE blog in forEVER just to recommend Lonely, Dear... this is LUCID material!

  • Tis art!

  • Totaly wonderful music!

I saw them live at "Gullbrannafestivalen" summer 2006, and can nothin but wishing me back to that wonderful moment...

  • CSS remix it?

  • Nice.

  • As great as this song is I think that the CSS remix is even better.

  • this song sounds so much like their other one....

  • I think it's brilliant how all of their work is so... remorseful. It's present in this song, and in the "I am John" video. It's just so heart-wrenchingly depressing, set to the most upbeat music... it'a a lot like Korean pop in that way. A strange correlation to make, I know... but I think I've just found my new favorite band.

  • Loney dear is one guy btw

  • Duely noted. I suppose it would be more accurate to say I've just found my new favorite performer.

  • As much as I don't have a clue of what they're singing about most of the time - - elevating - what a whimsical wonderful sound!

  • ibanezcrl, what the heck? Loney, dear is not even the same genre as Slayer, and therefore cannot even be compared to them.

  • If you get the chance to see Loney Dear live - you should.

I have seen them in tiny dank London venues transforming the room, elevating everyone irresistably.

    They. Are. Important.

  • freddy mercury was a better singer.

  • Slayer are better.

  • very good!!!

  • The wonderful, wonderful music of Loney, Dear... finally on youtube
