@cmedytrgdy Holy cow, you were on the air on 9/11? What do you remember of that day? What was it like being in the studio during the single largest terror attack in American history?
And do the full 9/11 broadcasts from these stations still exist somewhere? I'd like to get my hands on as many as possible.
@Halo4Lyf it was very difficult to experience that and have to stay professional and gather news and convey it on air for 5-6 hours as we stayed on most of the afternoon on DC101. Stations keep their broadcasts but don't usually share that stuff. IIn the case of the 2 shows I worked on that day, Z100 went off air after second plane hit . DC101 has the air as I said.
Very Sad. I worked for Nextel in a high rise that had a perfect view of the towers that morning. I can close my eyes and listen to this and be transported back to that exact moment when I saw this unfold from my cubicle while listening to the radio. RIP.
