  • could i please hear your cover of this song i couldnt find it on here

  • you're amazing. i want to lie there and listen to you forever. if you had a facebook, i would be your friend. ugh.

  • The chord you demonstrate at 1.56 is interesting, but have you tried playing a D major chord with the thumb on 2nd fret/bass string. Likewise, in the next part (when the rooster crows etc) instead of sliding your C shape up to play that D, have you tried placing your thumb on the 2nd fret/ bass string and playing the D minor chord. That's how Bob played it ; )

  • Post more lessons! This one's mad chill! Btw, perfect tab is right on this website called dylanchords for anyone interested. This lesson is pretty much perfect but its still hard to learn such a complex finger-picking pattern with only a video.

  • I am new to your video, your voice is perfect for the song. Mary would have been impressed.

  • I love the way you teach, and I played this song about 40 years ago !

(not as good as You ) wonderful truly wonderful Rod.k (UK)

  • what's your ring size?

  • i think i luff u

  • please! i would love to see the cover!

  • come on, put it up, put it up!!!!!

  • Awesome

  • daaaww i love you <3 :-) you did that wonderfully ^^

  • I cannot concentrate when someone as good looking as you is teaching, next time, could you wear a bag or something? :P

  • The chord progression I learned is, C - G - C - Am - F - G7, then repeat... For the chorus I learned, C - Am - F - D7 - C - G - Am - F - C - G7 and back to C, ready for the next verse. Of course after looking at several videos it's obvious this can be played several ways... Thanks for sharing your talent.

  • I have to agree with everyone else here, nice voice. Not to take away from your talent or the way you play but there is an irritating high pitched noise in your vid, it has a slight fluctuating sound & it drives me crazy to listen. However nice way to play it. I learned it a different way, basically on my own for the pluckin' but the chord progression I use came from a tab book of a bunch of Bob Dylan songs... Doesn't quite have the flare this one has. Thanks for sharing.

  • You got a nice voice, how much practice do you put in when you first started playing the guitar..? id love to learn :) as this is my fav song i subbed! Sub back

  • you are great! keep up the nice teaching, singing, and playing!

  • Nice video. Nice manner too. I used to do this song Peter Paul & Mary style, similar chord structure, nowhere near as good, so I can appreciate the talent and effort. With this level of skill, talent and personality, I'm a bit surprised I haven't heard of you before. It's nice to know there are still people around doing these songs.

  • @truegangsteroflove Thanks! :)

  • Thanks for this!

  • Nice lesson, I was the most useful around here, my most sincere thanks! Looking forward for the entire song :D or other lessons, I would definitely check your channel first! Thanks again!

  • A polite request from England :-) PLEASE put the full version of the song up, I really enjoy the segments where you sing. The tuition is great and has helped me but I would love to hear it all the way through.

    Don't be nervous :-)

    Thanks!

  • Good job, like the way u teach, been working on this for a few days now an I think you'de be proud. I would also like u to repost the song so I could hear the whole thing. Like your voice also. many thanks,

  • What if we make a deal? I'll post a really terrible song that I wrote and you post your awesome song. You can even put a link on your comments page if you want.

  • did you remove the first song (full cover) that you referred to? I think I speak for everyone when I say you should re-post it!

  • @tmfoote6

I'm nervous about putting it up.

  • @whistlerboots123 great job thats about ill I play is Bob Dylan like the way you articulated the lesson. Keep up the guitar playing especially Bob Dylan,

  • @whistlerboots123 put it up im sure its excellent also thanks for the instructional

  • @whistlerboots123 dont be, it's nice to hear good singing and a picking :)

  • @whistlerboots123 lol but i want to hear it

  • Good, i am a life long fan of Bob dylan thanks for doing this song

sometimes i was not able to see your hands on the chords

  • @Joselatino2010

I know! My computer cropped the video...

Now I know how to crop it how I want.

  • You have a gentle face, and a very erotic physic

  • You have a gentle face, and a very erotic physice

  • @mandaltby

    LOL

  • I learned more in 5 min watching your video than in an hour studying tabs and other video lessons. Instead of memorizing Bob's version note for note, you are actually PLAYING the song. Much more efficient and rewarding. If you don't have a sweet record deal yet, you will soon. Your voice is great and you either practice non-stop or are one of the few actual "naturally good" musicians.

  • @tmfoote6

    Awesome!

You are far too kind. I'm so glad you are having a better time learning the song.

  • Greetings from Finland! Hey I like ur playing! I am about learning this picking style!

  • @arinpop

    @arinpop

    Greetings back :)

    Thanks for your comment

  • NIce tutorial. Only thing I can suggest is it's easier not to bar the F and to use your thumb instead on the low E. Well that's how I play it anyway

  • @Jonsher123

I've noticed people do that, I find my hands are too small to get my thumb around.

  • I really like you

  • @ClovePsyKoz

    :)

  • Thanks for the lesson, it was really helpful. You should cover some more songs, you have a great voice!

  • where's part 1?

  • Comment removed

  • you should do more covers, becouse i think you play and sing wonderfull. im from guatemala and i like your video maybe you can teach the harmonic part to. thanks

  • Thanks! I like your voice and how you actually sing the cords.

  • Amazing! please make more videos!

  • Thanks

  • Wuh? There doesn't seem to be a part one (at least I can't find it, maybe I'm just an idiot). I want to hear the whole song!

  • Very very good but I think u should go over the picking patern first then explain how the picking fits into the cords. By the way that cord u didn't know was a C7. Thanx

  • @GaryCoul101

Yeah, that would make more sense, I do suppose.

I should really do another video where I sing the whole song, and go over it in better detail. I'll do it in that order.

Once I get over my cold I'll give it a shot.

    :)

  • @whistlerboots123 Hi. Hope you're feeling better now. We're still waiting for the next video!

  • @GaryCoul101 lol ...i think u should go over your comments before you post them dude. Your nit picking is totally irrelevant and exposes the fact you haven't a baldy notion what ur talking about. This is one of the best lessons I have come accross on youtube. And btw a cord is something you tie things with and you can rest assured Whistlerboots knows what C7 is. I generally don't like dishing out harsh comments and I'm sure u meant well but THINK TWICE before you post ;)

  • you're fantastic!! Thanks a lot for this one!

  • that *was* really helpful - thanks from Japan

  • LOL, "that weird kinna C7 or something..." In most circles it's just C7 but I like ur style. I agree with Dak485, as a teacher u rock :D BTW the other weirdy dude of a chord in C7 configuration up 2 frets @ 3.19 is D7. You know I idiotically payed for a lesson on DTTIA last year and your lesson is vastly superior. Also chap on here called Lowdenjim who does an excellent lesson on this (and others). 5*

  • @thepumpdontwork

    Ha, thanks bud :)

    stoked you like it!

  • thanks, this was very helpful! I really like your voice BTW.

  • That helped me alot, especially the part about the fingerpicking pattern, thanks!

  • It's clear to me that you have an intuitive sense of how to communicate musically. Notice how your voice sings the chord changes. I'm a classical pianist, and your ability to highlight a complex technique is wonderful. The narrative you provide--just talking along to the music--makes it look easy. I mention all this because I teach masters level motivational theory, and you may not be aware that you are using an impressive instructional repertoire. Wonderful.

  • @dak485

    Wow, thank you so much.

Your right I had no idea- :)

This really motivates me to want to do some more.

I hope someone has learnt this song because of me!

  • I like your guitar lesson and arrangement of this song. Excellent video. Thanks. You've got talent, hang on to it!

  • @countrybluesharry hey thanks!

you are the first comment i've ever had!

I didn't know if this was just impossible to understand or what.
