Indeed joey's skill as a drummer is one of the best, don't get me wrong im a decent enough slipknot fan, and even though most of the time i cant understand or rather hear their lyric's, i prefer to listen to instrumental skill then just the music. If your still reading,That being said i was looking for something better, i still have not found it, but for those heavy metal fans out there who want to find something new, Listen to "As i Lay Dying", their guitar skill is more enjoyable to me.

I hate all people fighting over and over to determine whether Joey is a good drummer or not. If you hate Joey so much then why do you bother watching him? The fact is, he is good. Very good. I like his style. And yet another fact is he is no where close to be best or fastest. Double bass in 230BPM, Triplets/Quadruplets in 240BPM. If someone is claiming this to be fastest then he doesnt even know what fast drumming really is.

Also you should check out Derek Roddy, Hellhammer and Inferno. Personally I like Kollias and Derek more, B/C they are also talented blues/jazz drummers but its a matter of taste.

@Metalholic4life11 True, and while I believe Joey or Nick Barker or Inferno CAN play some degree of jazz, I have never seen them. Kollias also studied with Yannis Stavropoulos who is a jazz master, and then moved to death metal. He is also drum instructor in Athens Music School. In Nile he plays many songs well exceed 260 bpm and in song Kafir he reaches 280 bpm with 16th notes, doing blasts fills double bass etc. I have never seen Joey reaching 280 even briefly in solos.
