here in the netherlands i've seen pikes of about 1.30 to 1.40 meters. I am a carp fisher and we dutch people say if we catch 1 omg its ONLY 80 cm.... bezause here are lots of pike over the 1,10 m

yeah man you should! If you go to our country (the netherlands) for a day of fishing you should catch one of 1m + because that is very normal here. and maybe you are the lucky one who gets a 1.5m ^^ my longest was like 80 cm and i wasnt even fishing on pikes because i wanted to go home but my boilie of my carp fishing rod looked like a fish orso so the pike catched it and i catched te pike ^^ they are kinda scary tho, they have about 700 teeth wich they like to use :P Hope you would catch one!

oh btw, if you go buy a license odnt buy cheap rods orso, the pikes ar ekinda strong. i think you'll need to have lie a 20 to 25 lbs rod with like 20 - 25 line thinkness and a good and nice fake fish (or real fish) if allowed. hope you will catch 1 one day that is allmost as long as you are :P. maybe you should google a Dutch pike maybe you can see how big they are.

Yes, they often stay in thick weeds where they're camouflaged perfectly.

And 3 feet is a pretty big pike.

we call them Slew Sharks here.... when your fishing for them you usually catch them in very thick weeds... i have actually caught one and though i had a huge wack of weeds but as i brought it closer the fish started going nuts.... my mom when she was 17 caught the biggest one i have seen... 17 pounds at Lac La Bich... canada of coarse... the damn thing was like 3 feet long

hm not all pikes in europa looks that way here in Norway n in Sweden its just the same northern deal,this is the first time i have seen a european pike x) didnt know they were more species of pike here..

Yes, but they can be bred together. the are the same exact species. Like with muskies here. The "Chataqua" muskie has different markings from other natives but can breed with one another and isn't a hybrid. They are like 2 different races but same species. European/Asian pike grow larger than N. American ones (record for record)

Man müsste sich vor dem Zoobesuch vllt erst einmal telefonisch informieren wann genau die Fütterungszeiten sind.

Dann könnte man die mal genau abpassen und man hätte sehr geile Videos, also ich würd die gern sehen, und ich glaub einige andere auch, da man auch nicht sehr viele videos davon findet...
