Burj Dubai might be the tallest but it don't have the legacy like the Empire State Building. It was the tall for over 40 years, It was bombed by a small plane, and is on of the most recognizable buildings in the world. It might be the the ninth tallest building in the world but no other building can ever beat its legacy.

Last time I was on that observation deck was summer 1980...brings back VERY fond memories. Kinda weird NOT seeing the twin towers though. I was there a couple times, one time was around 5 or 6 p.m. when the sun was setting the view was breathtaking...that's the most beautiful time of day to go on top there. I recall the suns rays bouncing off the stautue of libarty in the distance and making the water glow. Breathtaking view.
