The more debates I watch, and the more I think about it, the more the idea of a god seems more and more ridiculous. I come from a very religious family yet since about the age of 11 or 12 I have questioned, firstly the ridiculous the power of the catholic church and secondly the ludicrous idea of a god.

I have spent the last 12 years of my life and my full childhood growing up in ireland and it is blatantly obvious that the catholic church has had a crippling effect on the Irish economy.
