I like the actress they chose. I was interested to see how everybody would react to these changes.
I wouldn't mind a new Wonder Woman program so long as they remain true to the original concept. A strong, intelligent resourceful woman who is athletic but not masculine. Smart, but not arrogant. Innocent but not stupid. Thats what made the 70's a hit. Men lusted after her and most of girls/women wanted to be her. Did anyone see that hideous costume they were going to have in the new series? I loved this show when I was little- always wanted to BE WW. Lol. As cheesy as the show was, there's no denying that Lynda Carter made WW come to life.

Theme from retooled 2nd half of Season 2 by early Dec. 1977;notice the animation was dropped and other theme had funky flute instruments for the episodes 1-9. Theme is still at mid tempo and not as much male vocal but alot of sistah soul WW's.

She created her costume based on the flag of downed airplane pilot Steve Trevor. Apparently, the greek godesses knew something about WWII, but didn't get involved until a plane landed on their island.

The "REAL" reason her outfit is based on the American flag was because her creator William Moulton Marston was an American and he wanted his creation to "inspire" American girls to be more self-assured and independant. Wonder Woman is purely an American creation not mention in any Greek or Roman Myths. BUT Marston wanted to "ground" his creation in those mythologies which he loved and the stories they told which carried "lessons' and "trials" a hero needed to overcome.
