Polygons aren't the future if you ask me. They need to really get back to the fundaments, because textures are limiting to games. Consider water. They can make beautiful textures, but every possible scenario that could happen to the water needs those textures and needs to be made physical using polygons.

There's already great technology that works a lot simpler, I believe it works sort of like a basic 17th century natural philosophy kind of world with atoms that interact in a few, simple ways.

All objects are not all displayed at once so it will be hard to create 3dimensional hit detection. Also if all the objects where to be placed in one level it will require a very powerful cpu. The only CPU that could probably do it is a laser based CPU.

I wish he would realize Half-Life is just not a good episodic game like LFD might be. It's a beginning to end story/experiencing that feels silly playing piece by piece. Half-Life 2 was amazing with it's completely game-play told story (which is irrelevant) but the episodes have been mediocre. They should just skip ep 3 and go straight to Half-Life 3. They need to focus on their original ip anyways, I think.
