Actually, Furman could give NCSU a run their money. They were close with Clemson last year the whole way, and lost to Carolina by 3 a few years back. They play well against D-1 programs. And State would be no different. D-1AA programs are coached on a more team basis. D-1AA teams unite, stick together and tough it out unlike other big name schools. NC State is the trash of the ACC.

D1A teams are simply physically superior to D1AA. They're bigger, stronger, faster, and generally more athletic. If you put Armanti in a D1A school, he'd probably only be slightly above average. Yes, we're a freakin' DYNASTY in our division, but we're absolutely NOTHING when compared with the big boys. Be realistic, not delusional

Actually App basketball is really solid, baseball is about to become great, and our soccer program has been strong contenders to win titles in the past. The only sport that is 1-AA to 1-A is football, most of the other sports (like basketball) don't really have divisions.

I will acknowledge two things. App is not as good as people think. We haven't played well in any of our games except the Michigan game. Although we have had devastating injuries (like to Armanti Edwards, our star QB that is a huge playmaker), I can't attribute our failure to injuries alone. Our defense is too young (the most experienced D-Line player is a sophmore DE).
