Macau's a great place, very scenic. I find the old colonial Portuguese architecture mixed with traditional Chinese much more interesting than casinos. However, lots of dog shit which people don't pick up on the streets there.

Perhaps the art is kitsch, which I think is subjective. But it's clear that the place has attracted a lot of attention from all over the world. Enough to diversify its inhabitants quite well.

Still, I'd love to visit Venice one day. Italy is the one country that I've wanted to always visit and is my favorite idea for a vacation spot. I'd really like to see both Milan and Venice.

Actually theres a lot to see in Macau, not just casinos but historical places that include in UNISCO world heritage site.The city is clean, nice food and friendly people. Go! and see for your self.

City Center is a waste of money. Caesars Palace is a joke. BYD is $5 and can't attract tourists. Real state in Vegas has dropped more than 50% in less 2 years. Vegas is pretty much empty. Yes! revenues from MGM, LVS, WYNN are back to the US's GNP but Macao chargers taxes from these casinos. It helps their economy a lot, both sides wins! By the way, Macao/China has already closed the doors for foreign casinos. MPEL has played a big part of it.
