@ limalife... I believe he was attempting to spell it this way. "Yeah (not yah), not everyone can be a Marine. You need more THAN (not then) human targets. That is why we have the army."
@megamanacses thats pretty shitty logic, the beretta was not as good as the Sig 226 and the .45 acp is heavy and inaccurate and has no range. so what are you left with? browning high power? good choice.
All of those pistols have their own strengths and weaknesses making them suitable for different situations. You shouldn't venture into the world of terrible exotic handguns just because you wanna find something that's minimally more suitable for you. Also, the M1911 isn't called a .45 APC or .45 Colt, I doubt you know anything about guns other than their names that you picked up from playing Call of Duty.
@jumpingmustang08 You know I was about to ask what you were on as the Hi Power wasn't a US Issued pistol, but then I saw you're page full of druggy crap....
Hey Girl! I am trying to show some ladies on my Facebook about handguns and I am using this video to introduce them.............take care and we love your videos! Stay Safe sweety! SARGE!
What if you use your range gun as your home defence or carry gun, my dad does that with his 1911 all he reloads is .45 ACP, but he buys all other cartridges like .223, 30-06, 9mm, .22, etc..
My friend is suggesting for me to get a Sig Sauer P226 for my first. I'm not sure what caliber to get but since I haven't fired a gun. I'm kind of worried about the recoil. Having said that, should I start with a 9mm? My friend said that I might want to go for a 40'.
@otdog72 if your friend has either "try befor you buy" there is lots to consider when purchasing a hand gun, whats the primary purpose? target shooting, slef defense / carry gun , home defense? while a 9mm is a great target gun and a bit lighter (especially if you go with a polymer frame) it wont have the stopping power of a .40, since the bullet is smaller and higher velocity it will be a threw and threw shot, the 40 has more punch to it but at the cost of a few added ounces
@otdog72 Get the biggest caliber that you can comfortably shoot. Everyone has their favorite calibers (.357M for me) but if you get a big bosefus and you can't control it you have a very expensive paperweight. My mom can only control a .22LR. Guess what, FOR HER a .22 is a better defense, hunting, plinking, carry or whatever cartridge than a 9mm. Don't let anyone tell you what fits you best. Rent or borrow and try as many out as you can.
C'mon guys. You see a beautiful woman talking about guns and you start fantasizing. LOL! Listen attentively of what she is saying..guys will be guys I guess =0)
Just curious, where are you originally from? I would assume that a girl that knows this much about guns would be from the South, but I can't pick up your accent. Anyway, keep up the good work. Knowledge is power as they say, but knowledge of guns is firepower.
My 1st gun was a M2 50cal Machine gun.........compliments of the U S Army!!! hahahaha
Love yer vids kiddo! I posted you for some friends on my Facebook:) Take care & stay safe!
Remember kiddies:
"A Gun is like a seatbelt, if you don't have it ON when you need it, Then it's already too late".........ME! Peace & Chicken Grease! ....Scouts OUT!.
.22 For a practice handgun cheap to shoot the more you shoot the better you get... if your still learning and looking for a self defense weapon get a 9mm with some jhp rounds. You shouldn't buy anything heavier starting out... end of story
If you have a got a gun, legit, like the licence and stuff is it legal to carry it on you in the street lets say? not on show obviously. what do you do if a cop stops you, do you have to say have one and give it over?
@thebamboman The law varies from state to state, but in my state of Texas, if I'm carrying, and a police officer stops me for whatever reason, somewhere in the conversation, I'm obligated to inform him/her that I'm a licensed concealed wepaons holder, and I'm currently armed. Most cops are cool with it. You allow them to disarm you, show them your license, and answer any and all questions they might have. I've had this happen once to me. At the end he gave me back my gun and I went on my way.
Well I think maybe the original name would be "Schneider" but thats hard to pronounce to english-speaking people. btw: "Schneider" means "tailor" / "dressmaker". A beautiful name, I think.
^^ I was tired... (you never wrote anything stupid?) ;-)
So this (what you described) is a home defense-weapon. And a self defense-weapon is a weapon with higher power and penetrating bullets, because its used outside the house?
No, my husband is most definitely prior service Marine Corps. As for the Army, well not every can be a Marine, there has to be some place for them to go. Too dumb for the Air Force, to scared of Water for the Navy and just not tough enough for the Marines. ;)
Just kidding, much thanks and love to all our Service members from all the branches. God bless you all.
You're married to a Marine? Lucky bastard, it seems some Marines have all the luck. Tell my brother he's a lucky fellow. Keep up the good work and Semper Fi.
@limalife mother of god your freaking cute lol any chick who can talk anything fun to a guy like cars, guns, explosives or fun stuff is an awesome chick!
@MikeWooden1 they make 15 rd mags and also a 40 round drum. i dont like to go any bigger than 8 rd mags though. however keeping a 15 rd mag in your boot could get you out of pretty much any situation.
Got a cat. Girl's definitely "married" to a marine. Sorry for saying the truth. Gorgeous, petite women near Lejeune get macked on hard. I know. If you work construction near there, state a story or two about how wrong it is to marry a woman if you leave the continent.
Hello. I am new to the handgun world. I personally own an old Colt .38 army special. I am looking to purchase a new 1911. There is a Springfield 1911 at a local gun store here.
However with my cold, as it doesnt have any saftey, and is double action, I can take it out and just fire until all 6 rounds are spent.
With the 1911 being single action, does this mean that I have to pull the hammer back everytime I want to fire? Any help and info would be great.
Ya know, the world would be a better place if more women understood guns and appreciated them for what they are!!. This woman has the polish and charisma to spread the word!! I wish her luck.
@mwells2683 No disrespect man, Sig's are good, but way the fuck overpriced. I bought my Springfield XD(M) .40 and 6 boxes of ammo, and all that was still less than the cost of the Sig 9MM that was for sale. I've fired Sig's, they're nice and all, but they're not too much different from any of the aforementioned guns. People, do your research 1st before buying the 1st gun you see. I spent 8 months researching before I settled on my XD(M). Just as good quality as Sig, but w/o the top shelf price.
Which in whomever's opinion is the most reliabe? Not asking about firepower or anything, just when if it'll shoot when the trigger is pulled. Colt, Beretta, or Glock?
I Allready own a 45 long colt , it is obviously a single action revolver. I am comfortable and have the most practice with this sidearm . What is your general opinion of this handgun as a home defence tool ? The capacity is only 6 rounds, and a bit slow as far as reloading goes, I myself never assumed I would find the need to exchange fire for any length of time, especially if the long colt round meets the target . I value your input and keep up the good work. Great videos
@carvinrigged You can always use speed loaders if you're intent on sticking with a revolver. With practice you can become proficient enough to at least come close in speed reloading. Sarfariland makes some great loaders.
@chittyx2bangx2 Thanks for your fast reply ! The revolver I currently own is a Uberty 45 long colt . It is single action only and the cylinder does not open like the standard double action revolvers . It loads through a flip open door, and loading and unloading is accomplished 1 cartrige at a time. The entire cylinder can be removed though. I am certain you have seen these before, styled after the old west sidearms with modern safety features. Thanks again
@carvinrigged I have seen the flip door revolvers before. Haven't personally shot one. However, simple logic would unfortunately rule out single action revolvers as effective home defense weapons (should have read your post more carefully about the single action). The time it takes to shoot vs an automatic or even a double action and slow reload rules it out. Best keep it as a novelty item for the range.
@chittyx2bangx2 Thanks for your honest reply. I would really like to try a semi auto pistol such as a glock . There is allways that fear that a jam or non ejected casing would render it usefull only as a club. I own many revolvers that I feel certain will indeed go BANG! when the trigger is pulled. Perhaps I will try a Glock for a few hundred rounds to build my confidence in dependability. I am 49 and old beliefs die hard, especially when my family may face danger. I can try !
@carvinrigged You won't be disappointed. Glock has a fantastic reputation that is well deserved. They're accurate, light, safe, and very reliable. I would encourage you to pump a few hundred rounds through a Glock and be amazed (with decent ammo of course). I would advise a Glock 21 (.45 ACP - 13 singe stack) or a Glock 22 (.40 Smith and Wesson - 15). Might seem like a plastic toy but anyone on the receiving end will have to disagree.
@blondbassist Not knowing you personally I can't fully advise you on what to buy but I can give you some guide lines (are you male, female, how tall/big are you, how large are your hands?). But as a first time shooter I'd advise you to practice with a .22 LR (long rifle). Low recoil, low cost, no big boom. Also depends on how much money you have to throw around. If you'd like you can message me and I can try to help you out a bit more.
Wow, another shooting less than a mile from my house. And then of course that massacre in New Mexico. But let me guess, a good civilian with a gun wouldn't do a damn thing except CAUSE more destruction, right? Cuz that's what armed cops do all the time...*sarcasm*
I just keep getting proved right here, and certain people can't handle that.
can guys get any more rude like seriously any respect? i love the fact of a girl knowing and talking about guns and being dead on the money . great video
@drummingpariah Realy? I'll type slow. They both can kill or maim, their ownership is a responsibility, they can be used responsibly or misused. BUT, when you use a car as intended you travel from one place to another, with a slight risk to yourself an others. When you use a handgun as intended a human will be dead. That is the difference between a car and a handgun. Not their misuse, but their intended use. Don't play dumb to further your cause, you come across like a politician.
@Mcdeathbruger You are exactly the type of person who will shoot someone one day. Scared of life, have to have a deadly weapon to feel safe every day. The point in many situations where u would evade if you were not armed u will draw and someone will get killed. If gun owners were not so chicken little scared of the world I'd trust their judgment more. It's not the imaginary armies of big bad "wigger" thugs, but u are who more of threat to safety. Hope u don't get the chance to freak out urself.
@anevildoer OOooook there Billy Bad Ass. Anyone who owns a gun is scared? My question is: I have a gun, what is there to be scared of? And my next question is: who the hell are you to come here and make generalizations? Why are YOU so intimidated by someone owning a gun that you feel the need to lash out as us? Maybe YOU are the one who are scared.
@anevildoer And I'm also so happy that you've apparently not seen enough of the ass end of the world, OR you just think you're that damn tough to feel like you may need more than your body for personal protection. Really though, it isn't any of your business or concern. You come here spouting off some asinine stereotypical bullshit at a bunch of people doing what they feel is necessary, and for what? If you ask me, it's cuz YOU are scared.
@anevildoer Or maybe YOU are this wigger scum that likes to fuck with people. And now you hate to see these same people arming themselves to fend assholes like you off. Do you like my bullshit generalizations, twinkie?
P.S. - Evasion is still a guideline taught in shooting classes. They teach you to operate within the law, not to go out all guns blazing. If you weren't talking out of your asshole, you'd know this.
@VNVNation2006 I wasn't talking to u, nut case. But seeing how much u got ur blood pressure up because someone may disagree with u on the internet, u make my point. You go off the deep end because you don't like what i said, I hope you are unarmed IRL. Not all gun owners are like u and the fellow I was addressing (again, not u). Don't injure ur trigger finger banging 3 paragraphs of bullshit, u need it for werewolves and wiggers and all the people who want to hurt you out there, pussy. SMH
@anevildoer 1) It doesn't matter who you were talking to, this is a public forum. 2) Making a statement like this: "If GUN OWNERS were not so chicken little scared of the world I'd trust their judgment more." sounds directed at anyone owning a gun. 3) My blood pressure rises around stupidity. Sorry, I can't help it. Close-minded shitheads piss me off. 4) Your insults are tired, ineffective, and otherwise retarded. 5) You're still a pussy. Have fun standing around doing nothing when the SHTF.
@anevildoer 5) Where is this mysterious McDeathburger and what comments did he make? Damndest thing, I can't seem to find him. 6) I'm a very responsible, level-headed gun owner. That's all I'll say because it's not my problem if you don't believe it. But somehow, you will make it YOUR problem.
@VNVNation2006 1. It matters who I was addressing because that is who the comment was directed to. Context knucklehead. 2.See number one. 3. Since you are always in your own company you can hardly get away from stupidity. 4. No point in addressing this one. 5. There you go with your paranoid fantasy land again. Shit almost NEVER hits the fan in real life, get a grip and stop being afraid of your shadow. SECOND 5. Learn to count and then learn to look at all the comments. Moron.
@VNVNation2006 Number 6. I can only go off ur online temper tantrum because someone disagrees with you, but if this is how u react because u don't like that I said someone else seems to have unrealistic ideas of the world around them and its dangers and should probably not be entrusted with deadly force, u fit that category as well. Last thing we need is hot-head, angry, aggressive idiots armed and out in public constantly on the ready for when "shit hits the fan". I hope u don't kill anyone.
@anevildoer Dude, here you are again assuming you have me pegged. Just like the last guy. Did you NOT pick up on this being the part that pisses people off? If you're going to post ignorant-ass statements, don't get upset that people call you out on it. 2) The shit "almost never" hits the fan? I've got one thing to say to you: MUST BE NICE. I wish I could live where you do. In fact, I hope you DON'T find yourself in a situation that the rest of us do. Even it it means you remaining ignorant.
@VNVNation2006 Get in a lot of situations where you have to pull your piece where you live, huh? Where are you, Baghdad? Must be horrible. You have not upset me by "calling me out" because I know you are not able to get anything that is not black and white and doesn't fit ur reactionary frame of mind. It would be like getting mad at a 5yo for calling me a poopy head. You in the bad ass jungle among the public with your attitude and a loaded weapon, that idea I find a little upsetting.
@anevildoer I PERSONALLY have never had to pull my piece out. But it would have come in handy for the scumbags who burned the old man alive in the basement of his shop. Or the Rib Shack employee who was shot execution style. Or my friend who was robbed at a 7-11. Or another friend who's house was broken in to...
These situations all happened within 5-10 miles of me. Who's to say it wouldn't be wise to protect myself. I didn't buy a gun to be a fucking Rambo. I bought it "just in case".
@anevildoer And if you can't understand that and would rather equate it, along with my anger towards sheer ignorance and sterotypical behavior as "reactionary", then fuck you. Simple as that. Again, I HOPE you never experience anything like that. I wouldn't want your precious view of the world to be corrupted by something that "almost never happens".
@anevildoer This is exactly what I'm talking about with shitheads like you. YOU think you have the world pegged. YOU think you're authorized to say what anyone "needs" to have. YOU think that everything else is as cut and dried as it apparently is in your little world. The type of asshole that is spoon fed information and social principles from his news source. You have not, nor will you ever have the right to determine what I'm allowed to have. Tough shit. Get over it.
@VNVNation2006 Now list the times in the 5-10 miles from ur house being armed saved someone. Now list the times in the 5-10 mile radius from ur house a gun in the house killed it's owner, got stolen and used in a crime, or killed someone who was innocent. Hope u or ur loved ones don't get shot with ur gun or it get's stolen, that's MUCH more likely way TS will HTF.
PS u are right, I am wigger scum mad that u are armed, so I am on youtube trying to change all that so I can rob u! Idiot.
@anevildoer Lol, and that's why us gun owners have never thought of anything, right? Like buying safes to keep the guns in? And you won't HEAR about guns PREVENTING crime because crimes that didn't happen DON'T GET REPORTED. But you know, if you actually hung around the gun community, you would hear about them! There you go again acting like you know shit about a community you have NO involvement in! I love armchair experts. Really. I need you to tell me all the dangers, I have no clue *sarcasm*
@VNVNation2006 You are really fucking dense. If a homeowner stops a crime with a their gun it goes unreported...yeah fucking right. Just stick to "fuck you, then" as your main argument. You have done nothing but attempt to "peg" me while crying on your keyboard about how I did that to you WHEN I WAS RESPONDING TO A COMMENT YOU DIDN'T EVEN READ!!! Glad you calmed down now, so read this--it's not because you own a gun I think you are reactionary, it's because your comments fucking show it.
@anevildoer Have you, or have you not had a reactionary response to me during this entire fight? Have you, or have you not attempted to "peg" me during this entire fight? And now you will bitch at me for doing the same thing? That was the whole point of my argument. Get it? And yes, most crimes that don't happen don't get reported. Hell, most crimes that DO happen don't get reported. How many times have I heard of a woman not reporting her rape b/c she was "shocked or embarrassed"?
@VNVNation2006 I am not bitching at you, YOU started with the whole pegging thing as you pegged me like a proper hypocrite. Go ahead and think whatever you wamt about me, I could care less. I was talking to someone else about a comment they made that doesn't even apply to you. You don't understand how a comments page works so you got mad that I was talking to you and all gun owners. Your bad. You flipped out like a lunatic and got all hot and bothered. Yes reactionary.
@VNVNation2006 And no, if u stop and then don't report it u are a piece of shit and in no way a responsible person, gun owner or otherwise (leaving rape victims in a state of shock out of it.) Everyone else, u are a fucking idiot. So no, I do not believe ur "lots o crimes get stopped by gun owners but never reported" phony bullshit. If u pull a gun on someone and stop a crime it is still an attempted crime and u have horrible judgment if u don't report it. I doubt it happens much at all.
@anevildoer Ok, I didn't see this comment. Let me just say this: Don't believe what you want. It won't change the facts. In this age where nobody wants to get involved, nobody wants to deal with the aftermath, and you're telling me people report most crimes that were stopped. I'm not even talking about crimes they stop from happening to other people. I;m talking they stop someone from victimizing themselves. And in an age where people WATCH crimes and do nothing? Come on now...
@VNVNation2006 I personally know a number of responsible gun owners who own more than one gun. They know it is more dangerous than not having them. They are real enough to admit it's because they like them, and like to shoot them, not this pansy "what if someone is trying to get me, the thugs! The wiggers! The liberals!" bullshit. That type of delusional fuck (u and McDeathburger) should have had to take an IQ test first. U give gun owners a black eye with your bullshit. no clue is right.
@anevildoer I'll say it again, YOU DON'T KNOW ME. I'm not a gun nut. Getting pissed off at idiotic statements isn't an indication of shit except hating idiocy. YOU started this pegging job here, not me. I showed you how it feels to be pegged. Think about that for a while. I give NO gun owner a black eye, cuz if you knew me, you'd know that I'm a calm, well balanced individual who is NOT reactionary. But I AM passionate about arguing! Don't get it confused.
@anevildoer Dude, I don't pretend to know what your life is like. I'm not trying to force you to own a gun. I don't care if you never buy one. It's your life, do what you want. All I'm saying is you have NO RIGHT to judge us like you do, and that you should be more open minded towards those of us that operate differently. I've actually been a part of the gun community. These "stolen gun" or "guns killing their owners" don't happen to the meat of us responsible owners. Get off it already.
@VNVNation2006 Fuck it. Let's agree to disagree and find some common ground. You see the Leben vs Yakiama fight tonight? Ridiculous! You need a gun to stop those dudes.
@VNVNation2006 You must have been the life of that party if you couldn't help but write three posts to every one I wrote in the middle of it. Yes I'm "pegging" you, yes I don't know you, you are responsible and and non-reactionary and taught me a good lesson about being judgmental. You win. Go have a back to your life. And before you get stuck again like with me and "the last guy", make sure you know the context of a comment before you assume it is about you. Bye-bye now.
@anevildoer And I'm going to go BACK to the fact that you called gun owners pussies who were scared of their own shadows. I can get you a direct quote. Interesting to note that there was a shooting about 2 miles from my house this weekend at a fireworks show. Over a stupid fight. Would I have been reactionary had I been there? Yes, I would have reacted. Instead of that piece of shit getting away like he did, he'd have been arrested or dead for attempting serious bodily harm or death.
@VNVNation2006 Nah, you would have just stopped it from happening and let him go on about his business without reporting it. Isn't that the common way for it to go down? I wonder which responsible gun owner first legally bought the gun involved in the shooting? Go ahead and have your gun but you suck at making your case. Let the smarter, less bullshit prone in your camp take point on this one. You may be shit at arguing, but at least you love it, right?
@anevildoer By making this comment, you made two assumptions: 1) About me. That I act like a lot of people. I never said that MYSELF would not report a crime, or hold the potential perps, etc. I simply argued that most people just scare off the perps and go about their day. And with things like the Kitty Genoviese effect going on, how am I wrong?
2) That I would have been able to STOP the crime to begin with. It happened during the fireworks finale. All that would be left is subduing the perp.
@VNVNation2006 LOL. u are like the drunk idiot who gets thrown out the bar for fighting and then starts calling the bouncer "sir" and referring to the guy u were just calling motherfucker as a "gentleman" to try to act like u are not a hooligan. Too late! Just hope when "TSHTF" u don't act like ur first comment to me first then talk to the cops like this last one. If it makes u feel smart to knock down points of view I don't hold, just know it doesnt make u look smart!
@anevildoer That's my point, call it shit all you want, you're just wrong is all.
Btw, regardless of the "responsible gun owner who first legally bought the gun", I refuse to allow that to change the law. You, nor I, will EVER be rid of guns in this country, I don't care how you adjust the law. Regardless, it is our right, and you nor similar minded people have no business doing it anyway. So if that was supposed to be an argument against gun ownership, it failed. Sorry.
@anevildoer And you are NOT one to tell me how comment boards work. If you wanted this to be a private conversation, you should have taken it up via PM with the person you were arguing with. Maybe you made a blanket statement out of anger that you regret making? Maybe you were reactionary (your favorite word)? If so, then all you needed to do was say that. It would have avoided this whole stupid ass argument.
@VNVNation2006 I don't regret shit. I was speaking to a specific comment by a person on this board. I did not want it to be private. I don't care if u chime in, but u defended YOURSELF and all gun owners from a comment directed at one person and his type, nothing to do with u and all gun owners fuck nut. u admitted that u didn't see the comment i responded to and now u look like an ass because you jumped in the middle of it with both feet. Fucking moron. Just learn from it and move on. Shit.
Soo.. I brought home my new ar-15 that I've been saving up for. As I walk in the door, I found my babe on the couch paints her toes (a common sight). I ripped the box off my brand new colt, walk it over to my babe and say, "Baby look what I got!" She goes,".. cool. that's exciting. do you like my toes?" and goes back to painting her toes.. needless to say, my new ar-15 works and I now visit her grave every february.
i had a M9 Baretta, but i sold it and bought a glock 23, buth im thinking of selling it and buy a n M40A3, and im only using this for the shooting range ;)
Good info one suggestion your voice is very soft if you could talk just a wee bit louder. It is nice to see a woman that isn’t afraid to fight back my wife is getting her license to carry and a gun Taurus 9mm millennium.
@gungeekgary Rifles with no more than 5 bullets alowed for hunting. Nothing more than a semi automatic can be used. Handguns are allowed to be owned and purchased with the right license. No hunting or carrying on ones person whatsoever. Must be a member of a rod and gun club to transport to a shooting range to fire it. SUCKS bigtime ! I can buy an ar15 or the like for target practice at the range only. Oh and handguns are allowed to hold no more than 10 rounds.

My friend said that I might want to go for a 40'.
otdog72 1 year ago
@otdog72 go for 9mm
nottinmatterz2day 1 year ago
@otdog72 if your friend has either "try befor you buy" there is lots to consider when purchasing a hand gun, whats the primary purpose? target shooting, slef defense / carry gun , home defense? while a 9mm is a great target gun and a bit lighter (especially if you go with a polymer frame) it wont have the stopping power of a .40, since the bullet is smaller and higher velocity it will be a threw and threw shot, the 40 has more punch to it but at the cost of a few added ounces
ultimatemonkey 1 year ago
@otdog72 Get the biggest caliber that you can comfortably shoot. Everyone has their favorite calibers (.357M for me) but if you get a big bosefus and you can't control it you have a very expensive paperweight. My mom can only control a .22LR. Guess what, FOR HER a .22 is a better defense, hunting, plinking, carry or whatever cartridge than a 9mm. Don't let anyone tell you what fits you best. Rent or borrow and try as many out as you can.

Guys im from the uk.
If you have a got a gun, legit, like the licence and stuff is it legal to carry it on you in the street lets say? not on show obviously. what do you do if a cop stops you, do you have to say have one and give it over?
thebamboman 1 year ago
@thebamboman The law varies from state to state, but in my state of Texas, if I'm carrying, and a police officer stops me for whatever reason, somewhere in the conversation, I'm obligated to inform him/her that I'm a licensed concealed wepaons holder, and I'm currently armed. Most cops are cool with it. You allow them to disarm you, show them your license, and answer any and all questions they might have. I've had this happen once to me. At the end he gave me back my gun and I went on my way.
centurion205 1 year ago
@thebamboman Hmm I'm unsure, you can obtain information from your local police services though and even the correct forms to fill in.
I'm sure they'll be more than happy to answer your questions. :')

Great videos
carvinrigged 1 year ago
@carvinrigged You can always use speed loaders if you're intent on sticking with a revolver. With practice you can become proficient enough to at least come close in speed reloading. Sarfariland makes some great loaders.
chittyx2bangx2 1 year ago
@chittyx2bangx2 Thanks for your fast reply ! The revolver I currently own is a Uberty 45 long colt . It is single action only and the cylinder does not open like the standard double action revolvers . It loads through a flip open door, and loading and unloading is accomplished 1 cartrige at a time. The entire cylinder can be removed though. I am certain you have seen these before, styled after the old west sidearms with modern safety features. Thanks again
carvinrigged 1 year ago
@carvinrigged I have seen the flip door revolvers before. Haven't personally shot one. However, simple logic would unfortunately rule out single action revolvers as effective home defense weapons (should have read your post more carefully about the single action). The time it takes to shoot vs an automatic or even a double action and slow reload rules it out. Best keep it as a novelty item for the range.
chittyx2bangx2 1 year ago
@chittyx2bangx2 Thanks for your honest reply. I would really like to try a semi auto pistol such as a glock . There is allways that fear that a jam or non ejected casing would render it usefull only as a club. I own many revolvers that I feel certain will indeed go BANG! when the trigger is pulled. Perhaps I will try a Glock for a few hundred rounds to build my confidence in dependability. I am 49 and old beliefs die hard, especially when my family may face danger. I can try !
carvinrigged 1 year ago
@carvinrigged You won't be disappointed. Glock has a fantastic reputation that is well deserved. They're accurate, light, safe, and very reliable. I would encourage you to pump a few hundred rounds through a Glock and be amazed (with decent ammo of course). I would advise a Glock 21 (.45 ACP - 13 singe stack) or a Glock 22 (.40 Smith and Wesson - 15). Might seem like a plastic toy but anyone on the receiving end will have to disagree.
chittyx2bangx2 1 year ago
@chittyx2bangx2 What type of Glock would you reccomend for a first time shooter and what sort of rounds for use in a range?
blondbassist 1 year ago
@blondbassist Not knowing you personally I can't fully advise you on what to buy but I can give you some guide lines (are you male, female, how tall/big are you, how large are your hands?). But as a first time shooter I'd advise you to practice with a .22 LR (long rifle). Low recoil, low cost, no big boom. Also depends on how much money you have to throw around. If you'd like you can message me and I can try to help you out a bit more.

Hope u don't get the chance to freak out urself.
anevildoer 1 year ago
@anevildoer OOooook there Billy Bad Ass. Anyone who owns a gun is scared? My question is: I have a gun, what is there to be scared of? And my next question is: who the hell are you to come here and make generalizations? Why are YOU so intimidated by someone owning a gun that you feel the need to lash out as us? Maybe YOU are the one who are scared.
VNVNation2006 1 year ago
@anevildoer And I'm also so happy that you've apparently not seen enough of the ass end of the world, OR you just think you're that damn tough to feel like you may need more than your body for personal protection. I wish I could live where you do. In fact, I hope you DON'T find yourself in a situation that the rest of us do. Even it it means you remaining ignorant.
VNVNation2006 1 year ago
@VNVNation2006 Get in a lot of situations where you have to pull your piece where you live, huh? Where are you, Baghdad? Must be horrible. You have not upset me by "calling me out" because I know you are not able to get anything that is not black and white and doesn't fit ur reactionary frame of mind. It would be like getting mad at a 5yo for calling me a poopy head. You in the bad ass jungle among the public with your attitude and a loaded weapon, that idea I find a little upsetting.
anevildoer 1 year ago
@anevildoer I PERSONALLY have never had to pull my piece out. But it would have come in handy for the scumbags who burned the old man alive in the basement of his shop. Or the Rib Shack employee who was shot execution style. Or my friend who was robbed at a 7-11. Or another friend who's house was broken in to...
These situations all happened within 5-10 miles of me. Who's to say it wouldn't be wise to protect myself. I didn't buy a gun to be a fucking Rambo. I bought it "just in case".
VNVNation2006 1 year ago
@anevildoer And if you can't understand that and would rather equate it, along with my anger towards sheer ignorance and sterotypical behavior as "reactionary", then fuck you. Simple as that. VNVNation2006 1 year ago
@anevildoer This is exactly what I'm talking about with shitheads like you. YOU think you have the world pegged. YOU think you're authorized to say what anyone "needs" to have. anevildoer 1 year ago
VNVNation2006 1 year ago
@VNVNation2006 You are really fucking dense. If a homeowner stops a crime with a their gun it goes unreported...yeah fucking right. Just stick to "fuck you, then" as your main argument. You have done nothing but attempt to "peg" me while crying on your keyboard about how I did that to you WHEN I WAS RESPONDING TO A COMMENT YOU DIDN'T EVEN READ!!! Glad you calmed down now, so read this--it's not because you own a gun I think you are reactionary, it's because your comments fucking show it.
anevildoer 1 year ago
@anevildoer Have you, or have you not had a reactionary response to me during this entire fight? Have you, or have you not attempted to "peg" me during this entire fight? And now you will bitch at me for doing the same thing? That was the whole point of my argument. Get it? And yes, most crimes that don't happen don't get reported. Hell, most crimes that DO happen don't get reported. How many times have I heard of a woman not reporting her rape b/c she was "shocked or embarrassed"?
VNVNation2006 1 year ago
@VNVNation2006 I am not bitching at you, YOU started with the whole pegging thing as you pegged me like a proper hypocrite. Go ahead and think whatever you wamt about me, I could care less. I was talking to someone else about a comment they made that doesn't even apply to you. You don't understand how a comments page works so you got mad that I was talking to you and all gun owners. Your bad. You flipped out like a lunatic and got all hot and bothered. Yes reactionary.
anevildoer 1 year ago
@VNVNation2006 And no, if u stop and then don't report it u are a piece of shit and in no way a responsible person, gun owner or otherwise (leaving rape victims in a state of shock out of it.) Everyone else, u are a fucking idiot. So no, I do not believe ur "lots o crimes get stopped by gun owners but never reported" phony bullshit. If u pull a gun on someone and stop a crime it is still an attempted crime and u have horrible judgment if u don't report it. I doubt it happens much at all.
anevildoer 1 year ago
@anevildoer Ok, I didn't see this comment. Let me just say this: Don't believe what you want. It won't change the facts. In this age where nobody wants to get involved, nobody wants to deal with the aftermath, and you're telling me people report most crimes that were stopped. I'm not even talking about crimes they stop from happening to other people. I;m talking they stop someone from victimizing themselves. And in an age where people WATCH crimes and do nothing? Come on now...
VNVNation2006 1 year ago
@VNVNation2006 I personally know a number of responsible gun owners who own more than one gun. They know it is more dangerous than not having them. They are real enough to admit it's because they like them, and like to shoot them, not this pansy "what if someone is trying to get me, the thugs! The wiggers! The liberals!" bullshit. That type of delusional fuck (u and McDeathburger) should have had to take an IQ test first. U give gun owners a black eye with your bullshit. no clue is right.
anevildoer 1 year ago
@anevildoer I'll say it again, YOU DON'T KNOW ME. I'm not a gun nut. Getting pissed off at idiotic statements isn't an indication of shit except hating idiocy. YOU started this pegging job here, not me. I showed you how it feels to be pegged. Think about that for a while. I give NO gun owner a black eye, cuz if you knew me, you'd know that I'm a calm, well balanced individual who is NOT reactionary. But I AM passionate about arguing! Don't get it confused.
VNVNation2006 1 year ago
@anevildoer Dude, I don't pretend to know what your life is like. I'm not trying to force you to own a gun. I don't care if you never buy one. It's your life, do what you want. All I'm saying is you have NO RIGHT to judge us like you do, and that you should be more open minded towards those of us that operate differently. I've actually been a part of the gun community. These "stolen gun" or "guns killing their owners" don't happen to the meat of us responsible owners. Get off it already.

VNVNation2006 1 year ago

If it makes u feel smart to knock down points of view I don't hold, just know it doesnt make u look smart!
anevildoer 1 year ago

VNVNation2006 1 year ago

Great video.
You obviously know what the hell you're talking about.
By the way, I prefer the non-spectacled look.
Just my opinion.

I'm a Canuck and would love to hunt with a handgun, but wait theres a concealed carry that the government and the wusses are so worried about.

@paininthe10 what kind of guns are legal in canada?
gungeekgary 1 year ago
@gungeekgary Rifles with no more than 5 bullets alowed for hunting. Nothing more than a semi automatic can be used. Handguns are allowed to be owned and purchased with the right license. No hunting or carrying on ones person whatsoever. Must be a member of a rod and gun club to transport to a shooting range to fire it. SUCKS bigtime ! I can buy an ar15 or the like for target practice at the range only. Oh and handguns are allowed to hold no more than 10 rounds.
