Ah you are right, well done :) still an appallingly tragic event. It's not a cheap jibe at Cameron or Tories, if any party had done it, i would have said the same thing. Loads of people are mourning the gradual dismantling of the British film industry. When you consider how many truly brilliant actors and actresses we have it just seems an utter waste. Shooting Dogs is one of the best examples.
@lamlyn "I'm in the midst of watching a film about one of the worst crimes against humanity in history... I know, I'll use this as an opportunity to score an ignorant and cheap political point."
@TheJinkedful I think it's relavant actually, and it's not cheap. It doesn't matter what party or government does it. The UK Film Council is responsible for making great films like this to remind us about these atrocities and it is being terminated. I think it's a shame because this is a great interpretation of the appalling events that went on in the genocide. I've not written anything to diminush the tragedy. 1 million died, the largest genocide since the holocaust! I'm not stupid.

@lamlyn what about Cambodia under the Khmer rouge regime. 2 million "undesirable" cambodians died in that genocide.
