  • Corrupted Governments cause food shortage.

  • Stop to feed animals and give it's food to us. ;)

  • the fact that mankind in the last 10 yrs have used more oil than all the oil we have ever used in the history of mankind, kinda tells you a better reason to stop using oil, other than AGW

  • IF A SINGLE PEPPER PLANT THAT I GREW THIS LAST SUMMER GAVE ME $30 WORTH OF FOOD, MEDICINE AND WEAPONS. OF COURSE i USE MY WHOLE YARD, $3,000 TAX FREE, WITHOUT GROUND WATER AND ONLY USING HOME MADE BUG REPELLENT FOR MY PLANTS.

  • oil in the ground costs money = you burn fossil fuel to get it out of the ground . = then you burn fossil fuel to move it around the world = then you burn massive amounts of fossil fuel to make electric =then you burn lots more fossil fuel to run machines to make things ie plastic gas fuel cell phones shopping bags the list goes on. then you throw out the oil product where more fossil fuel is needed to get rid of it .All that fossil fuel burnt to make a sweet wrapper .wow

  • We don't have enough natural resources to go around.

We don't have enough food to go around.

We produce too much greenhouse gases.

And these problems are only going to get worse because our population is growing at an unsustainable rate and the majority of the countries around the world are run by people that can't see the big picture, can't get along and can't make change happen.

Most people don't seem to get it. If humanity doesn't get its act together, and soon. We're all fucked.

  • I think what you mean is the rest of the is going to get fucked. Because, as I far as I know and see, half the world is already fucked, ass-pounded, raped, and murdered.

  • Lol yeah. Well we're already done a pretty good job of suffocating the planet and ourselves in the process so far. Its infuriating.

  • we have 30% of black ground in my counrty but use only 10% i think that is problem!

  • Blue Firus peeling paint has the answer to global food crisis. Type it in

  • the problem isnt enough food but too many people shitting children left and right only so that they will fight with each other for limited resources.

  • Ready for the real issue. wall street.

  • so i take it you didn't even watch the video. Typical ignoramous.

  • Oh I know what you are referring to. Fact of the matter is you are just wrong. We have been in space and are working on much more than you imagine. Did you know for instance that a significant portion of NASAs budget goes to research in nanotechnology? The facility of reaking our world once we have decent nanotech wll surpass all previous efforts combined. It's not pie in the sky. Biology proves nanotech is possible.

  • It's easy to throw around a sweeping generalization and pass it off as truth, isn't it? Everyone does it, it's a real problem ;-)

  • If it is an answer, it should be a global solution. How to let them realize? How to make it comes true. A solution is not inside a computer chip, but it must be inside the Earth. For those who concern, things must be done from now on.

Truth cannot be distorted, so is the time. Time is linear.

"A man can only see himself cutting an apple in front of the mirrors." Space has dimensions, so are you.

AGING (of planets) is a natural process that cannot be reverted, but slowdown.

    Teru Wong

  • and still many people have died while you were watching this video

  • procyon

  • It's incredible how United States are concerned about rainforest devastation. GO TO HELL.

  • Hey, there are some people on this planet that get a lot from creating problems and perpetuating them. Guess who. Yep. Politicians, middlemen of all horizons, profiteers...don't look further.

Without their ilk, everything would be all right now (well, relatively).

Real problem is: they never are in check.

People trust, trust, trust the good government and the good companies that want us good and the agencies that will save us from evil.

  • Vast regions will face starvation of epic porportions. Nothing we can do will stop this. It's funny how the more green people try to be, the worst our situation becomes. It's funny how people just cannot face the truth

  • Comment removed

  • There's nothing funny about that.

  • If this is the reality we face, it's due to Mankinds own GREED and ARROGANCE!!! Watch it again!!!

  • Not true. It's progressiveness is based on factors that are out of our control

  • subtitle spanish please

  • Whatever goes up, must come down. And this time, it's going to refer to the human population.

  • it's sad that people have to starve in poor nations for food prices to increase a bit in the industrialized parts of the world and still the producer see's very little of the piece of the pie for what he produces and risks and i know because i crop over 6500 acres of grain and oil seed every year!

  • jml

  • you bastards blew it up!!!!!!!

  • uhh.. i meant your the idiot.

  • Not too many people. Just too many idiots.

  • If everyone stopped eating meat world humger would be wiped out. It takes 17 kgs of animal feed (wheat, grains, corn etc) to make 1 kg of meat. That's not a very productive way of making food. Not to mention how much water would be saved and how much carbon emissions would be reduced (30%)

  • Vegatarian smug asshole who fails to realize that humankind was suppose to evolve as both plant and meat eaters. Your opinion is officially invalid.

  • I realize that humans are naturally omnivores, I never said otherwise. But at the rate we are going it's just not sustainable.

And who are you to "officially" invalidate my opinion? No one can do that, not even NASA. The most you can do is change my opinion, which you have failed to do with your childish insults.

  • If you want to change your mind watch the move Soylent Green

  • I don't believe a science fiction movie is relevant to real world issues

  • why not ?? Science fiction is just a version of reality but not known yet...Like before ppl thought we could not travel in space, at this time it was a fiction because not attainable but it came true later so fiction is just a matter of time

  • I don't mean science fiction in general, I'm talking about that particular movie, hence why I said "A science fiction movie" instead of "science fiction moives".

In that movie they run out of real food so they have to eat soylent green which turns out to have human flesh in it. How is that going to change my opinion on eating animal meat? Does he think that soy products have humans in it? lol If so I suppose he believes Harry Potter is real too.

  • Don't bring harry potter into this. The point is that in the movie the world was so overpopulated that the only nature they could see was on movie screens. There was a black market for fruit and meat because it was so rare. So by saying that noone on earth should eat meat because it is "unsustainable" takes us one step closer to a Soylent Green world. Do not mock me as you do not see me disrespecting you.

  • well, a normal reality wouldn't have sci-fi, it'd just have acted productions that sometimes featured inventions that people hadn't actually built. we have sci-fi because the timeline is broken, and it's a way that memories of the whole of reality leak through, and when it comes to dystopia sci-fi is supposed to warn us away from repeating the same mistakes over and over again. btw all spiritual practices agree that meat eating is bad for the soul.

  • If we allow the population to increase indefinitely we will inevitably end up in the Soylent Green scenario. Reducing the population and reducing meat consumption (or at least the consumption of animals who are fed agricultural crops) will both delay or help prevent such a scenario.

  • i was gonna clown yoda, but you beat me to it, i really disike that guy....

  • You miss the point. We are not obligate carnivores and have no God-given duty to eat meat. We can live with or without meat - and most primates eat little or no meat. When population density is low and grazing land is plentiful eating meat is not a problem. When, like now, you have to use most of the world's land just to grow crops to feed animals - and other people go hungry as a result - then it becomes a problem.

  • Its amazing that hunger exists yet you can go to a restaurant in America and buy a single meal that could feed 5 people and most of that still goes to waste.

  • your point

  • Smug Anti-American fuck head; your opinion as well just became invalid.

  • I fail to see how stating a simple and obvious fact would qualify me as s "smug anti-american fuck head".

  • The elite want this earth for themselves. Why do you think they want the older people knocked off?

  • randomlaughingman is right and if you don`t believe him, do your research and the you will

  • Propaganda ouch !

  • good video

  • People still belive we have to decrease population levels to feed everyone i can't belive any of you belive this. you can plug in a hot lamp to your wall and grow food this discusts me.

  • it disguists me that people claim things without considering the truth behind their claims - what are you going to fuel the lamps with? aren't you aware that artificial growing yeilds crops that aren't as natural, therefore have detrimental effects upon health? what are you going to grow the plants in? how will you produce seeds? where does the water they need come from? think about the real-world resources. yes food can be grown - but why did so many stop growing their own.

  • theres food everywhere ffs, hasnt anyone ever watched bear grills?

  • Crops need land. There is an upper limit to how much food we can currently get per acre - and many nations are no longer able to grow enough food for their people and so have to import food. We are approaching the upper limit for the planet.

You can plug in lamps and grow food in your bedroom if you wish - but you won't grow enough food even to feed your hamster on a long term basis. That has nothing to do with real agricultural issues.

  • we dont need to reduce animal production, we need H1N1 to morph into the Spanish flu and kill everyone. then the world wont be over populated anymore :D

  • Why don't you start? Funny how every time some human-hater shows up and wants people to die, it's EVERYONE ELSE BUT HIM.

If you're so hot about lowering populations, you're free to jump off a cliff so the rest of us won't have to give up our meaningful lives.

  • im not saying anyone should die, no one WANTS to die. all im syaing is it kinda needs to happen and who lives and who dies is entirely up to nature.

  • hoi

  • just grow a shit ton of hemp, it takes 4 months to be fully grown and you can eat it.

  • hemp - is a good reminder of why so much of the current mess even happened. outlawing hemp was of course done, not because of the racist-themed 'concerns' about anyone using marijuana, but so that petroleum and tree (and cotton) based industries took over what hemp was being used for. if hemp wasn't outlawed then trees wouldn't have been used for paper, cotton wouldn't be as widespread (nothing is that wrong with cotton but it's use rather then hemp required more artificial pesticides and.....

  • ..fertilisers; not that there isn't organic cotton now though - now that we have to label the right way to grow crops with a separate word), and - well the original motorcars were designed to run on vegetable fuels, so the petroleum industries wouldn't have gotten a hold there either. consider the huge environmental impact alone just from using trees for paper instead of hemp (and other non-tree crops).

  • iv got a hemp t-shirt, damn it is comfy and warm, really thick material! loads better than cotton- they do still grow hemp here in the uk, thr was a field not far from me, apparently ppl were stealing it and trying to pass it off as ganja! that might be a reason why they may have banned it in other countries,

  • !!!!!!! - nooo, it was banned back in the 30s for the reasons cited. you need to go and read up on it - try The Emperors New Clothes by Jack Herer, it's online for free i think. there's tonnes of books and onfile FAQs about the history of hemp tho.

it is being grown in some places now, i have plenty of hemp garments etc too, but as i explained it's the impact the ban has had, and the real reasons for it that are still resounding now.

  • A farmer near me grows 50 acres a year of organic hemp - for food, fibre, fuel, oil and other products. I imagine that we will soon get back to growing as much as we used to a century ago. Russia used to be covered in the stuff.

  • sounds good. ironically, when it first resurged about 15 years ago, i was able to get more hemp clothing - still have never found a cloth-type (or paper!) made as well as the ones i bought back then. in more recent times i've seen next to nothing, to mostly nothing, in any stores. same with most other eco-sane products - it's been getting worse for a long time as to what's available, with some peaks of decentness occaisionally. of course, plenty of places selling toxic evil shit everywhere..

  • seriously, are people asking why this is happening? Population increasing to a horrific level. And the fact tht we dont have enough room for them all?

  • Comment removed

  • It is interesting that you use the term "them" and not us. Why is that?

  • because it is 'them' as they are one group, aka NASA.

  • where are other parts,, where can i get them?

  • usa eat less and sell you fat or burn it as fuel

  • lol haha

  • superpowers monitor evrything with satalites ,you are being monitored every second!!!!!!!

  • nerds.

  • Any population that has + population growth is self destructive. There is no point feeding a population that will grow. They will grow until they are starving again.

Starvation is a self solving problem. You cannot have a starving population indefinitely. You eventually start to starve to death. The only way to have a continuously starving population is if it is continuously attempting to grow. Which will always inevitably lead to starvation.

  • Comment removed

  • That was true in a Malthusian world. Any increase in population meant lower living standards. Thanks to the industrial revolution output grows faster than population growth resulting in higher living standards. Even after the recent crisis food prices are much lower in real terms than 30 or 200 years ago. The % of people starving has been reduced significantly in the last 50 years. Science and technology can help us avoid a disaster again.

  • Lets hear it for science and technology.

    PROGRESS!

  • Maybe we can just eat plants so we don't have to feed the animals, for eating them. So straight from the grain.

  • To raise 1 pound of meat it takes 16 pounds of grain.

Anyone can figure out how to stop global hunger just by reading that 1 statement above.

80% of farm land goes to raising animals for food.

  • Have you read animal liberation by Peter Singer by any chance?

  • no, whats it about?... besides animal liberation...

  • IS THERE A PART 2 ?

  • WHERE IS PART 2 ?

  • All well and good, but still coming from a government that denies that global climate change is man-driven

  • Is that GM food. i hate gm food. thats my personal opinion.

  • But GM food is the best alternative to solve food crisis. GM food increase food productivity and lower cost of food.

    Unless the world's population drop.

  • GMOs are one of the stupidest fucktarded ideas to ever be considered, and that's saying something considering the sheer amount of stupid ass fucked up things the shit-for-brains un-natural fagmuppets are always claiming are good ideas.

they use fucking virsues to deliver altered gene parts into the plants, and they don't even understand the wider implications of what altering the codons they have some comprehension of will do. this isn't comic books, if you fuck about with dna it's Game Over

  • I assume that you are one of the 20% who have to volunteer to die then. Because through natural processes we can feed a maximum of 80% of the current population of the earth. Practically we wouldn't be able to get anywhere near the max though. So perhaps we could feed probably 60% of the current population. And that includes no meat.

    Enjoy starving to death.

  • By using sattelites, that's the message? NASA propaganda, I know what that sounds like.

  • yay

  • very cool

  • whooooaaaa that fact was fun as hell i didnt know that

  • meat isnt even good for you

  • stfu fag

  • meat is good for you

  • i'll add my comments back in again, once the stalker sicko that copies my account is banned properly and takes this video and any others i've been at off their favourites. they haven't comennted here or anything, i just don't want them being able to use anything i type for their own agenda of evil.

  • One note > every single satellite in orbit is military purposes satellite, and all that they are used for is primarily military purposes, everything else is just occasional use for civil "things"....

  • even tho the population grows allot of peoples lifes will be shorter to move forward in generations and humans will get smaller to allow the increasing population to lie on land and theres enough food in this world to feed 12 billion people and were only 6 billion come on people wake up!

  • 12 billion people having as much food as we in the west? Goodbye nature!

  • you're advocating even shorter lives, when many people already consider their current lifespan too short to bother to even live correctly now, because it's too much effort for them or it costs them too much? there sure is a large excess of food in the countries exploiting the starving countries to grow much of their food for them, but all that exploitation has already destroyed huge amounts of vital ecosystems. it's quality of life that matters most - that includes living long enough to do what

  • Comment removed

  • Hey, you are kinda following my philosophy of life. Only that I will add another meaning ass well... enjoy existence and make so that others can do it as well.

I agree with most of what you are saying. I am a capitalist but the capitalist system like it is today is wrong... It needs changes. Resources are beeing put into so much nonsence, while we should use our efforts to make sure everyone (humans and nature) have a good quality of life... And to look towards the stars.

  • YOU LIE!

  • explain yourself - what are you accusing me of lying about? it sure isn't about meat, cause that is bad for you especially for your soul.

  • there is enough food for everybody its just the jews that don't give it to the people who need it like Africans because they only want whats bad for the world and what good only to them

  • you should perhaps separate 'zionist liars using the Torah for their conspiracy to eradictae the soul and spirit and God from the world' and 'jews' from one another, cause the former are not proper jews - maybe they come from the idol-worshipper tribes that were cursed for not following the instructions of Moses. the reason Annunakis gave jews instructions is because they made them; there's a lot of original different tribes. the 'adams' that have disobeyed are the ones ruining it all, yes.

  • the other thing is that the genes that were made by those beings are of couse now carried by many who are not officially jewish at all. rather than be seen racially, it's a simple matter of having access to certain powers (to control the Earth for example) but choosing to mis-use them, & the denial of actual origins and suchlike is part of the choice to deny truth and abuse the Earth.

but i didn't say there wasn't enough food exactly anyway - there are way too many people tho, for this planet.

  • yes you're right

  • The only way to solve the food crisis is to lower the world population. Every nation should have some kind of a "max 2 childs per couple" policy

  • that about sums up the core of the problems - that normal behaviour by people is something that goverments would have to step in and regulate. it's a shame that human life is taken to mean so little that more of it is added without nary a second thought as to what the world is meant to be like for them to arrive to. so much denial, so much expectation that someone-thing else will sort it all out.

  • Yeah. Kinda ironic that people say that a human life means so much that it is not ethical to tell people how many kids they can have... while that really is what is ethical. Of course, the best would be that everyone freely understood this, without government regulations, but it seems that we miss that collective common sence. People are just feasting (not just on food), without any collective goal or reason.

  • that's exactly it - for example their economic models read 'crisis' when they aren't producing x amount of units of y per day, when the real crisis is their mesuring things that way to begin with. rather than producing goods as-when required, they produce goods based on guesstimates (not orders by customers), and trade the raw materials to make them in that same way too, in markets that aren't based upon actual need for those materials. no collective goal or reason.

  • Excellent point.

  • it'll surely show up what crops are healthy, but really that is the growers and farmers work. if you know what you are doing when you are crop growing then the health of the plants and the soil will be easy to determine just by looking at them with the normal eyes in your body. this is yet another example of very complicated meaures being brought in because previous massively-overcomplicated methods (here, of growing crops) were stupidly adopted by people who didn't know what they were doing.

  • just as an example, go look up something like permaculture - all the solutions already exist to the everday problems of satisfying what's required to live healthy and without fucking up the Earth in the process. Keep It Simple Stupid. it's just arrogance and ignorance that are in the way of all the existing solutions being adopted at those levels of governance who are currently still on their bummer-trip of false profits and no future goals of worth. their economic policy is chasing the dragon.

  • Global food crisis .. Let The Rich countries like some Arabian countries help ( I know may of them spending there milliard money on palaces , cars , clothings , & sometimes on 1 set in the sin city ........

Let the humanity heal itself then poverty , hungry would be exist ..

  • So why doesnt NASA say anything about nibiru? I think their a bunch of liars! lol

  • Possibly because it doesn't exist? NASA is not the only group looking into space, as there are thousands of observatories all over the world, and not a single one has detected anything resembling a rogue planet linked to our star. There are also claims of there being huge alien cities on the Moon, but not a single amateur astronomer (or just moon-gazing layman with a telescope) has confirmed "strange lights" there. You'd think that would be all over the Net.

  • wait, you actually believe the mass media broadcasts much of anything that you're actually meant to know about, that is actually going on?! this always surprises me given that alls anyone needs to do to see beyond that is to compare much of what is reported to their everday life experience to see the huge vast differences between the two.

  • Cities on the moon evident by strange lights and signs of advanced civilisation visible on the light side is not something you're able to hide by controlling the news media. Besides, nothing I've heard of Planet Nibiru or the Annunaki amount to anything more than pure conjecture and wild interpretations of folklore and legend.

No, I don't delude myself into thinking the media tells everything. I don't even think they've ever told more than half the truth. But that doesn't make Nibiru real.

  • Please dont lie to people. NASA will make some food to sell to poor nations in exchange for their territory or oil or perhaps... Nobody believes what USA says.

  • like this is gonna change anything....

  • Excellent video! Thank you so much for sharing!

  • You cut back on population, you have a big ageing problem. Solving one problem too successfully creates another problem down the road. You go for growth, you are heading for a disaster. Catch 22 there.

You increase bio-fuel production, you soon go short on food production. Zero sum game really.

"A true conservationist is a man who knows that the world is not given by his fathers, but borrowed from his children."

    ( John James Audubon )

Maybe it is a necessary thing that NIBIRU be the Nemesis.

  • Search Codex Alimentarius - it's all there. This is the stage where they make you think it's a good idea. Enjoy!

  • Search - Codex Alimentarius - it's all there. This is the first stage - convincing you you need it . Enjoy.

  • about 15% of food trashed away directly to the shop trashbins, because they order too mutch food products.. that is only from finland!

just think how many tons of food they destroy.

  • And USA goberment wants food as oil for cars

  • اي شيء ، انتوا حمير يا يهود ههههه .

  • no u

  • LOL, how has those discoveries greatly benefited humanity? I rest my case!

  • what?

  • Whoa.. cool the see how the vegetation changes like that.. it's almost as if the earth was breathing :)

  • I see the whole world as a living breathing organism connected in symbiose and affected by the totality of our actions, which has far greater consequences than we currently can comprehend or fathom :)

  • wtf. why do u put a smiley face after that. thats so inappropriate and creepy.

  • @CiscoNast

wtf? the smiley was meant at PeXis to show friendliness! What's your problem...huh!!? gtfo

  • In 2007 number of obese people exceeded number of starving ones...

  • I belive the reason why were going into a food crisis is because how greedy us MEDC's have been over the past 50 years we have basically raped most lower developed countrys of their food and also we have put a lot of food to waste i think the best way to preserve food soon will be to freshly pick food on huge farms. This will mean less waste of food and fresher produce.

  • I think every body underestimated the golbal opwarming,, will dry out alot of areas around the world

Like Kenia 2 years ago it was mutch better and look now

so stop co2 its simpel to do that but its all about money

  • money has nothing to do with it. people don t realize that money is worthless when compared to your planet. they can fux it wether they get payed or not

  • One thing I'd wish Agribusiness would look at is more production and development of 'indigenous' agriculture, rather than changing ecosystems in order to mass produce crops that are not naturally local. Which in most cases requires deforestation which leads to climate change and changing weather patterns.

Search this Video on youtube to better understand what I mean. "Willie Smits: How we re-grew a rainforest"

  • First off, where is the funding (millions) dollars for these programs? and where is the R&D team for this? We have the technology/science to feed every starving person on this earth.

Yet, Nasa spends more of our tax dollars fixing hubble, and going to moon/mars etc. Makes no sense to me, planet earth should be #1, first.

For example, the U.S dumps most of its electronics on Africa costlines, especially tires etc. Free energy, Advance recycling, and super foods/crops should be #1 at Nasa.

  • I still cant believe you guys are still stuck on the "problems" and not working on the solutions.

  • Again, you're looking at the wrong agency if you're expecting them to solve all the world's problems. Space assets are there so we can look at the problem, thus we'll be able to known how best to act. You want solutions, some of them not very reasonable, and at any cost and you're putting it all on NASA's shoulders unfairly.

  • Once again, NASA keeps looking for problems with no solutions. It's been like that since NASA began. Honestly, what benefits to society has "studying/exploring space" gotten us? We still run fossil fuels, food/water is in short supply, and companies still have monopoly over OUR energy bills.

If NASA will not lead the world then who will? I believe U.S has the BEST scientists in the world. The U.S Federal reserve can print trillions of dollars, so NASA has UNLIMITED funds!

  • So much wrong with this comment, where do I begin? Firstly, there are other departments more suited to do some of the things you're asking NASA to do (DOE, DOA, etc). All of which have a bigger budget than NASA, which total budget is less than one percent. Planet earth is first, but the idea we should put exploring and understanding aside until our problems are solve is retarded. There will always be more problems.

  • there are over 6 1/2 billion people on Earth we dont have enough food to feed everyone. maybe if we had one sandwich per 3 days

  • there are almost 7 billion people on the planet but it has been proven that there is enough food to feed everyone. the food is not distributed properly. the average american consumes 117kg of meat a year. in contrast, the average chinese person consumers less than 40kg. the average person in north american and europe consumes 3500-4500 calories a day. while millions of people in africa get by on less than 2000 calories a day. there is enough food, it's just that it's unevenly distributed

  • interessante..grazie..francesco.-

  • nice job!

  • Thx!
