Pakistan’s prime minister telephoned the top British diplomat in the country this week expressing fears that the Pakistani army might be about to stage a coup, a British official and an official in Islamabad said Friday.

my first impression is that Mansoor Ijaz is a liar, I think he just a pawn being used by either the army or Zardari. Since the existence of the Memo has been corroborated there is obviously more to it. The army has a system which is adopted to the letter, with exceptions for which lacuna is exploited for the benefit of the vested interest. @alisurya What exactly does Ijaz failing grad school have to do with this memo?. All that was needed to be done from his part is to prove that the memo existed. His credibility is hardly an issue after the point it was proved that the memo existed. Why did it exist? on whose authority was it drafted and given to Mullen? These are the questions that are important now. Not Ijazs background or how business is done in Washington. This incident also has serious political implications in Pakistan.
