I hate how everything is banned if people are offended. If its not one thing its another...I look at these cartoons as a way to inform people or even children of the things that are happening around them. The war cartoons for instance was a way to tell children that their father was leaving to help fight the bad guys (Nazis, Germany WW2 in general)..these small flicks are history and should be treated as such. People just need to grow up and stop being butt hurt..What happened has happened.

Many of the generic videos of old cartoons released in the 80s and 90s were bootlegs and some times contained banned or other wise "lost" cartoons amongst other public domain cartoons. How they got onto the shelves of some somewhat reputable stores I don't know.

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't many of those cartoons designed for military personnel? I know they were shown in movie theaters along with the news broadcasts before the feature film started. for many americans this is how they got any news.

My grandpa fought in WW2 & said many young boys who were drafted were farm boys and weren't as educated in what was going on in the world, & they were shown these little cartoons during training so they would have an idea what they were fighting for.
