if you wanna put it through a stress test, try rendering a movie with iMovie or copying a large amount of files to an external hard drive or memory card..then run all that stuff while it's doing it. just opening them isn't going to slow it down much.

not completely, i know where u are coming from, safari is the worlds fastest I-browser, there is a press conference that shows this, the streams would be a fair test for ISP, however, the initial load time is the speed of the cell processors not the ISP, i will be bashed for this no doubt, if he had compared the safari browser with google chrome then u would see that its the performance of the cells not the ISP. im sorry to be so rude with this comment, just correcting a common misconception :D

im not sure what u mean, safari is the fastest browser and the speed in which items are displayed are the browser not the speed of the ISP, stream is however, but as soon as the browser opens the designated address the page items are opened, faster than any other browser fact.....however the speed in which the page is opened from the dock is the ISP, the rest of the tests are fine...

You do realize, that the speed at which a webpage loads has almost nothing to do with the speed of the machine, my dads piece of shit dell from 04 loads pages just as fast as my MBP 13". I would say get a ram upgrade from newegg to 4 gigs or 8 gigs if you can afford it. But I mean for sd editing I have no complaints its pretty good, I must say I myself have never tried HD on there I just do that on my desktop. I would say that it probably isn't great but doable.

You should get the iStat Menu's app to see how far you really are pushing this little computer. I'm sure you weren't even pushing 40% on your CPU or ram for that matter. Try doing some HD graphics and rendering in Final Cut Pro if you really want to make this thing cry... Sometimes my CPU gets up to 170F :)
