Ouch, a bit of a damp squib, Kim and the Engineer hold this scene together, however, without a good chorus the whole musical will sag, and unfortunately the lack of energy in the chorus makes this scene sag.
Again.. coming from someone who saw original cast in NYC... Amazing performance.. Kim is excellent. Better than the Kim's I saw in the travelling cast I saw in Houston.

The atmosphere seems to be lacking. In our production, the words our director kept using were testosterone, and adrenaline. The atmosphere is so alive and intense, just how it would have been.
Hot Pants!?? That is so supid. And I'm in high school and last year they did a production of this and they pretty much had all the swearing in it, except the ones that they could change without it sounding dumb.
You're singing is all pretty good (esp. for a high school production) but there wasn't enough energy put into it. Everybody was just standing around until their part, there should have been more dancing. But it was a good effort, I liked your Kim.

i think they should, some shows are really good, but others are really mediocre. For example, in Uruguay, South America, there is a show that is the biggest school production ever tried, and the show turned excelent, really excelent
Very good for a high school production. Personally, I don't think high school's should do Saigon. but you guys did a really great job. The censoship bugs me though. The girl playing Gigi is veryy flat, and the chorus is not nearly loud enough. but Kim is great. !

OMG... this is brutal! Bad notes in the orchestra, censored lyrics and costumes, and the acting and singing is terrible! High schools should not put on mega-musicals like Saigon... if feel embarrassed for the poor kids in it. If you can't do the show right.. don't do it at all!
I don't like the censoring of the girls costumes. The thing is this is not a show for highschool students. This subject is not something to be dumb down. If there is going to be issues like this, why even do the production?

If I remember correctly, a large majority of the girls had dancing in their background.
