@joemagliari i would think thats just like a coffin box for equipment they dont use that often or it could be the new way that apparatus manufactorors make the ac now. I'm a voulenteer down in pa and ive seen the roof mounted air conditioning units mounted like that. hope that helps

@Moose82690 I'm thinking like you said at first...a box for equipment.Looks to be fully enclosed ,so that wouldn't work for an air unit,no air intake.

@theatomicfart1001 yea the brothers will buy their own Federal Q or like squad 288 they also buy a train horn and hook it up themselves, but if they truck needs to go into the shop, they have to remove it or else the mechanics will take it away because the code in the boroughs is that the Real Q is too loud and bounces off the city buildings.
