Nicely played. I remember when I first started playin this song, it was so awkward to play it. It isnt one of the harder T.E. songs but it def was a challenge for me to get past the awkwardness.
loved listening to this played by you.....you play so well. I like the sound of your guitar, tho I can't make out what it is? And, I LOVE the ending.....shows that we are all human! Very cute!
@guitarkis49 It's a Maton EBG808, a standard version of what Tommy uses. I don't mind the ending either, reminds people that there's a real person behind the recording!
@metalkamikazee oops, I meant to correct my last reply and may have deleted it instead...anyway, this one isn't actually on the Emmanuel Labor dvd so ignore what I said before. There are vids on how to play this song, just search youtube!
watching you play really impsired me to play more. It's really great seeing another Aussie Guitarist who loves playing tommy songs as much as i do (and much better might i add). Keep it up :)
where are you from saendar, there are soooo many fans of Tommy emmanuel but not many like you. I love him and only have his CD in my car and iphone where did you get the music from? keep up the good work. you are "subscribed to" hehe long live TE
Hey there, I get what you mean :) There are actually a few tutorials for this song on youtube by other guitarists - I looked at those and listened closely to how Tommy plays it. Still a long way to go but having fun along the way! Thanks for commenting!
Nice work, young lady. You can get a USB input converter for about $100, and it will give you a little more "mixing" control of the input, without adding noise.
I plug straight from the Maton's pre-amp into my computer's line-in port! All you need is a guitar cable and an adaptor to switch to a 3.5mm (headphone) plug.
The level is pretty low, I jack it up in Final Cut and add some reverb in post (it's a bit cheaty but my amps/pedals are too hissy to record through).
Nicely done, Saendar! On the ending: that happens to me too - all too often. If I get through a particularly difficult section of something, and it's not only 'right' but artistically solid, my brain will go "Woah! That was cool!!" and I get distracted from what comes next. I guess the goal is to get into a constant state of "Woah!" , eh? ;-)
Where do you find the chords/tabs for TE's songs? kg

Looks like Tommy Emmanuel taught you a lot. There a real groove in this song. You are going to be a good guitar player. What a nice smile in the end.
