That's right, '143'- that was the time Associated Artists Productions [A.A.P.] acquired the pre-1949 Warner Bros. cartoon library, and leased it to hundreds of local stations. In New York (where the "package" stayed until 1988!), Sandy Becker emceed a weekly "BUGS BUNNY THEATER" on early Friday evenings in 1956-'57. And it was a Chicago station that was airing Bugs at 6:30pm(ct) that got ABC's attention in 1960. Warner Bros. produced a new series, featuring post-'48 shorts, for the network.
Note that the underscore is the instrumental-only (NO Mel Blanc overdub vocals) of the official signature tune (You Americans call it 'theme song') for the series ("Overture : This Is IT!") Are there ANY copies of said instrumental anywhere out there that *I* could find for myself? As ever..a MEGA-UBER RAVE-FAVE o'mine...as if you didn't know....
This promo first appeared in the fall of 1960. The live staff announcer usually added (at :55), "Tuesday night at 7:30, 6:30 Central Time, over most of these stations". The series appeared in prime-time from 1960 through '62, with the episodes were repeated in color on ABC's Saturday morning schedule from 1965 through '68.

I didn't realize that this was originally shown during prime time. Interesting.
Thanks for posting!
