NOPE I have them imbedded in my mind That is my cosin Denny Henson singing I think , I know he wrote it ! He has cancer and I would love to have a cd of this where do I order it from
great song, I found it when I was looking for Fools Gold by Poco. Same genre in comparison to post 1976 Poco. The Fools Gold by Poco is characteristic of pre 1975 Poco. Anyway, it was serendipitous that I found this song.
Was remembering & missing Dan, so just by chance, I tried to see if I could find them & here they are!!! I saw them backing Dan in '76 @ Union College in NY. Front row & fell in love w/them, as they opened for Dan prior to his coming out. Ran out & bought this vinyl the next day & still have it in storage, too far away! Great Band! Great Memories! Now I want the CD! We grew up w/the BEST music, hands down!
This Is My Cosin Deny henson singing I love this song thanks for posting it. I do not have acopy any more but Know I will enjoy my childhood again I love the way music takes you right back where you were at the Moment I love you Deny !!
I also still have the vinyl and both are available on CD. Little known fact, Tom Kelly is in this band. I used to see him and Denny Henson in a band called The Guild in the STL area in the early 70's. Michael McDonald was also in that band. It was a band that should have been huge. Kelly went on to be one of the world's most successful songwriters. He wrote, "True Colors, Like a Virgin and many other number one hits. I still play both LP's on my walks. Timeless.
The follow -up album, "Mr. Lucky", is also really good. But it had a different flavor than the first, less country -flavored. Wish that one would come out on cd like the first one has.
Thanks Mike! I joined a record rating service back in the late 70's where I paid a monthly shipping charge and 3 albums were sent to me for me to keep and return a rating and comment postcard, and this was one of the albums I received. I remember sending my comments back saying this was a great album with hardly a clinker on it. Don't know if the service was actually legit but it was a great way to get albums. Anyway, I picked up a cd released copy about a year ago; still good stuff!
MusicMike2 Thanks Mike...this album changed my life...I was a young country rocker/ songwriter and bought it after hearing a commercial for a Boz Scaggs concert they were opening for in '77. Every song on this album is top shelf and I bought the record 3 times because I played it so much. It is a crime that they weren't every bit as big as the Eagles ...but I'm happy that it wasn't cheapened by too much exposure. One of the GREAT records in this genre ..outstanding performances.

I've got this one on vinyl - I think I got it at a record store from the "cut out" bin. That dates me a bit huh?! The first time I heard Dan play live this was the warm up band. It was actually my introduction to Dan - literally changed me. It was a great show and they all jammed together at the end during one of the encores. Great memories.
A good friend had this album...first heard it in 1976. We'd get together and listen to each other's favorites--I don't remember listening to any other cut on the album except this one.
I love the album. A friend played it for me back in '81 and 4 years later I found a copy of the album in the clearance racks. I'm an eclectic who listened to AT 40 from '74 to '84, I've got 2 Joel Whitburn books, so far(TOP POP HITS 1955-2008). Thanks for playing this wonderful obscure song.
this is one of my five favorite all-time songs; really! haven't heard it in probably 25 years. Thanks, to my friend, Bear, who told me how to find it. DJ
Love this song and remember it almost perfectly but haven't heard it since, probably, 1979. They did a second record in late '77 or '78 on Columbia that was actually a better album, but there was nothing like this track on it.

Thanks Music Mike 2. You and I may be the only 2 humans with this album in their collection. Seen them as the great Dan Fogelbergs backup band and warm up band at least once but maybe twice. Hard to recall some of the 60's - 70's. Great era. Seen and heard so many great bands and music.

Thanks for sharing the song and the info. I want your gig! It was very weird to find
this under "Fool's Gold" by Poco, which was an instrumental on their 7th album,
if I remember correctly. I prefer this and love their album as well as their second,
"Mr. Lucky". Keep 'em comin'!

You find that and I'd pay some bucks. I used to go see them as The Guild at Collinsville Park Ballroom every Thursday. What great days.
